Come experience 152 acres of preserved forest in the beautiful Highlands Region of northern New Jersey. Our nonprofit nature center has a rich history and offers events rooted in arts, education, and recreation. We have four rustic cabins with electricity available for overnight stays of 1–7 nights. A mountain stream runs through the property, and there are plenty of casual outdoor seating areas to relax in. Come stay on our working farm! Relax and enjoy all that our farm has to offer. You can enjoy nature and privacy or opt for a more interactive experience and join our morning or evening farm tour where you can interact with goats, sheep, mini-horses, pigs, chickens, ducks, and more. We are a small family farm where we raise animals and grow flowers/food. Our family home was built in 1739 and is situated near the street entrance. As you enter the property, you will see two cottages, the oldest corn crib in the county, and a beautifully restored 1800s barn. There is a vintage-style camper to the left of the barn, located in an area where you can have privacy overlooking the pastures. We live on the property and can assist guests with anything that they might need. Guests are welcome to stroll around the property and enjoy all it has to offer. We have a farm store and education center opening summer of 2025! Check our website to see classes and offerings that you might take advantage of during your stay. Please note, that we ask that guests do not enter the barn or fenced pasture without one of the farm owners (Molly & Diego). Our animals are accustomed to people, but livestock is unpredictable, especially to people that they do not know. There is plenty of area outside of the pasture that guests can enjoy. If you opt for a farm tour we promise that you will have plenty of interaction with our many animals.

Weekend Trip to Two Herons Farm

My family had a WONDERFUL stay at Two Herons Farm! Our baby daughter was delighted to interact with the sheep, goats, ponies, cows, chickens, guinea pigs, dogs, cat, and more!!! The farm was a great store with cool, local gifts. The cabin was really comfortable and private. The hosts, Molly and Diego, were incredibly generous and helpful. We were fortunate to tag along with Diego while he feed various animals, felt like a cool behind-the-scenes tour. We've stayed in dozens of Airbnbs/Hipcamps over the years, and this was by far our favorite. Highly recommend!!!

Weekend Trip to Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park™ Camp-Resort: Gardiner

The cabin itself was beautiful, very clean and everything worked great in it. And it was much more spacious than it looked in the pictures and description, we were very happy and 5 of us slept very well in this place, the campground itself blew us away. We go to about 10 or 12 different campgrounds every year and this is by far the best one we have ever been to. We see no reason to go anywhere else now except for here. There Is so much stuff for kids to do and keep them busy. There's 2 or 3 playgrounds, there's pools water park, there's these huge trampolines built into the ground, 50 feet wide, tons of places to walk to and overall, the entire place is beautiful.

The staff (especially Jon!) was so helpful and accommodating. They offered heaters and let us pick a different cabin to have more spaceto ourselves. I got to relive my boyscout days. Lovely stay in a lovely area.

Weekend Trip to Two Herons Farm

We loved every moment of our stay/experience, but our favorite part was definitely doing an evening tour of the farm. Molly and Diego were fantastic hosts and so generous with their time despite their busy schedules. The animals are so comfortable around people, a true testament to the great care they are receiving. The farm store was also lovely! I would highly recommend this to anyone who has the chance to go. I’ve already booked a second visit!
