Description

Big Bog State Recreation Area Campground isn’t just a local gem, its fame spans nationwide. Sometimes called Minnesota’s last true wilderness, Big Bog State Recreation Area is home to a 500-square-mile peat bog, the largest in the lower 48 states, and a mile-long boardwalk lets you get up close and person with its rare plant and animal life, many of which are on Minnesota’s endangered species list. The southern side of the park is home to a campsites, camper cabins, a sandy beach and great fishing.
