Kevin's Place
Great trip! Great host! Cozy large spot with everything you need for a trip to lake cushman and surrounding areas. We brought our 25ft camper and our friends brought a tent. We love that there was a propane fire pit provided with a canopy and chairs. Saved us a lot of packing
The site itself was very spacious, even with Kevin‘s too big trailers on it! It actually added a little bit of privacy, which was really pleasant. We went during the weekday, and it was extremely quiet, aside from some neighbor potentially working on something early in the mornings (starting around 5:30/6a).
The offerings at Kevin‘s place with thoughtful and made our leisure time really cozy! Nice chairs, citronella, candles, and incense, a fridge we were able to use, and a porta potty on site. The location is also really dreamy as you’re tucked away a bit, but also have easy road access to the boat launch or the Park Beach. We had two dogs with us and they were enamored by the family of deer trailing through and around the property.
I arrived after my husband met Kevin and got the rundown, but my husband seemed to really think Kevin was a cool guy and nice to talk to which really does set the tone for the trip.
Great spot and will be back again soon!
I had an AMAZING time! The property has way more than is needed for "camping" lot more like "glamping"! The property was clean and ready when we arrived. Our party consisted of 3 single women and 3 children ages 8-10. We felt so safe!!! It was so quiet except for probably us. I was surprised to find it had wifi which I was notified of before leaving home. I found Kevin's place bu a friend's recommendation and I'm so glad I did! This will be my FOREVER Cushman destination. On Kevin himself, he so quick to reply to all my random questions and provided so much more than expected for a camping trip. I will 10/10 recommend this place to anyone. Thank you Kevin, for sharing your space with my family! You have provided an amazing memory we will forever cherish!
Side note: pull the shower to turn it on at the park lol I thought it didn't work! When I figured it out it was nice hot water! So clean too!
Kevin’s place has lots of great amenities and suited our needs for a campsite. We had 2 tents with 2 kids and 3 adults and a boat and we all fit into the spot.
The dark cloud that really put a damper on our boating weekend was the community. This community does not want renters using their lake and they have a really crappy attitude about non-owners using their lake facilities.
First the boat launch down the street requires the pass that Kevin supplies in the shed, but you also need a boat and a trailer sticker to use the facilities . When we asked the woman guarding the boat launch where to get it, she gave vague directions to the “office” about 17 mins away. She wanted us to drive our boat and trailer a 40 minute round trip to just launch.
We gave up and eventually just drove 10 mins to the public launch.
We launched there and that was great but there is no dock so it’s tricky.
We eventually made our way back to the park with the original launch and we’re going to have the kids walk back the site. Before heading out the kids jumped in and were swimming around the boat. Within a few mins an old guy came and told us we were not allowed to swim here and we needed to get out, in a very rude manner.
We felt very unwelcome in this community every step of the way and don’t want to come back. We were in nobody’s way and not causing any issues but this guy felt the need to tell us off. The older people here don’t want renters and it really ruined the experience for me.
We enjoyed so much our time at Kevin's place! He is the nicest guy ever! We camped with our pop up camper and a tent, we had way more than what we needed. Thank you Kevin! Will definitely be back!
Kevin’s place was amazing!
Clean, woodsy, organized, private, quiet, great location to the boat launch and park.
Plenty of amenities the barbecues, fire pits, cover, ping-pong table and other games, firewood, miscellaneous tools, and full RV hook up
Kevin is a responsive, thoughtful host. Great communication and very helpful.
We will definitely be going back and I would highly recommend sitting here
Less than 5 minute walk or 1 min drive to private park. Kevin was very quick to respond to any questions!

Kevin's Place
Kevin's place had so many helpful amenities as well as the lovely nature. It was a 7 min or 1 min drive to the water. The view was breathtaking. You can shower at the park after playing in the water. Our family had a wonderful time getting away and unplugging.
Kevin’s place was great! Plenty of space for multiple tents plus more for activities like corn hole, kids riding bikes, etc.
Cooking set up was amazing, didn’t have to pack all of our typical cooking gear as the main items were provided.
A great safe location to enjoy with family. Lots of birds and deer visited the property too which is always a fun site to see.

My family and I had an unforgettable camping experience at Kevin’s place! Lake Cushman’s breathtaking scenery and vibrant wildlife created a peaceful, idyllic backdrop. We enjoyed the tranquility of the lake, just a short walk from our site, with easy access to the park and boat launch, less than a minute’s drive. Kevin’s hospitality truly went above and beyond, making our stay even more special. I can’t recommend this spot enough, so much so that we’re already planning to return next year! :)
