Evergreen Campground offers San Juan Island camping among the pines, cedar, and salal berry bushes of three acres of old-growth forest. Our four cleared, groomed, and carefully placed sites offer privacy, a picnic table, two camp chairs, a raised tent platform, a fire pit, and a view of Sportmans Lake through the trees. Each campsite accommodates two adults and includes parking for one vehicle in our adjacent lot. A Porta-potty and a hand-washing station are common to the campground. Evergreen Campground Policies - All site rates are nightly. - A non-refundable deposit of one night is required and charged at the time of reservation. - Check-in time is 1:00 pm. - Check-out time is 11:00 am. - Property-wide quiet hours are 10:00 pm to 8:00 am. - Due to our fragile environment, pets are not allowed. - We are an adults-only facility. General Information - Due to a lack of provider coverage in the middle of the island, most cell phones do not receive reception on our property, and internet service is unreliable. - There are coin-operated showers at the Port of Friday Harbor Marina in Friday Harbor and at Roche Harbor Marina. - We are located less than five miles north of the Friday Harbor ferry landing.

Labor Day on SJ!

We had an amazing time at Flicker camp ground! The space was secluded in nature, but 8-15 minutes from anything in the island! The parking spaces were clear, but prepare for a 2 minute walk from your car to the camp space. Thankfully they had a wagon at front to help carry your items which was super nice! Bathrooms were clean & accessible near parking.

Had a blast at Evergreen Camping! Host was very thoughtful and accommodating with many small details (water, camping chairs, picnic table). Highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to camp on the island!

Loved the campsite, it’s the closest one to the parking area so loading and unloading was easy. Since it is the closest to the entrance it’s not completely secluded; the Inn plus some cars were visible from the site. That being said we barely heard/saw anyone and the campsite was very well maintained. Super big plus that it had a table, chairs, porta potty access and a platform to protect tents from the rain :)

Tent camping at Nuthatch camp ground was amazing! The campsite was private, spacious and beautiful. The table, firepit, chairs, tent pad and portable sink/water set up made it feel luxurious and like glamping. We biked in to the site which was conveniently located between Friday Harbor and Roche Harbor for day trips. Nancy, the host was really responsive and kind enough to lend us a bike pump after we got a flat tire. We would love to come back!

Nancy and James set us up with a wonderful camp site nestled in the woods next to their property (which is also a bed and breakfast). The camp site has everything you need. A fire pit, port-o-potty, potable water, camp chairs, and a semi-lake view. The spot is very private and secluded, so it doesn’t feel like you are on someone’s property, yet you are a 10 minute drive from Friday Harbor. Just be advised that it would take quite a while to bring all of your stuff from the car to the campsite. James will help you out with his mini tractor mobile if he’s around, luckily he was for us. Thanks for the help, James. An outstanding camping spot for the weekend.

Perfect location for our camping/bike trip. Super easy to find, very clean porta-potty and they gave us a huge container of water plus a portable sink. 2 Comfortable camp chairs around the firepit and permanent round table to use. Highly recommend

The site was mostly easy to find! I went to the inn by mistake since I arrived in the dark and didn't see the campground sign initially. The sites are large and private and equipped with chairs, picnic tables, fire pits, nice flat places to put a tent - and in my case trees to hang my hammock on. There was a little road noise but overall the site was nice and quiet. Not too far a ride from Friday or Roche Harbor and pretty close to a winery that plays music on Saturdays! I also saw that the inn next door has glass based classes.

We stayed at the Goldfinch site. Really beautiful area. It's a bit of a walk in from parking but James provides a cart and the sites are beautifully cleared and each have a firepit and a platform for a tent. He provided a box of water as well . Porta potty up near the entrance is clean as a porta potty can be. Partner ran into a cougar walking along the trail back to the parking area at night though so best to be mindful that there is a lot of wildlife in the area.
