Nomadic camping
Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Escape the hustle and bustle without losing the convenience of town. Our 7-acre property in Poulsbo offers a private, spacious back field perfect for those looking to unplug. Separated from the main homestead by a natural pond and landscape, you’ll enjoy the peace and quiet you crave while staying centrally located to everything the Kitsap Peninsula has to offer. The Location Whether you’re here for a weekend getaway or attending an event, you’re perfectly positioned: • 12 minutes to Silverdale • 12 minutes to the Kitsap County Fairgrounds • 16 minutes to the charm of downtown Poulsbo (“Little Norway”) The Space Your journey to the campsite begins at our front farmstand. You’ll enter the property here and head back through the field toward your private oasis. • The Drive: To reach the site, you’ll drive through the field directly from the main road. There is no paved road to the site, so please book only if you are comfortable driving across uneven field terrain. • Privacy & Sound: The camping area backs up to a road. While it is not a major highway, you may occasionally hear passing vehicles. However, the site is tucked behind a natural screen of trees and bushes, ensuring privacy from the road while you relax. • Nature & Wildlife: The nearby pond is a beautiful feature of the property, though it does attract mosquitoes—bringing bug spray is highly recommended. You may also see us working in the garden or spending time with our chickens and dogs. Campground Rules & Safety • Dry Camping: This is a primitive, “dry” site with no bathrooms or hookups. • Pack It In, Pack It Out: We take pride in our land—please respect the property by removing all trash when you leave. • Pets: We love dogs! However, because our dogs live on-site and the field is not fenced, all guest dogs must remain on a leash at all times. What to Bring • A self-contained camping setup (van, truck camper, or tent) • Plenty of water and a waste plan • Bug spray for pond-side evenings • A vehicle capable of navigating grass/dirt terrainEscape the hustle and bustle without losing the convenience of town.
