Stayed in RV #1. Great level spot with fire pit and picnic table. Bathhouse was a super short walk away which was a nice surprise. Allison and her family were very welcoming. River, their dog, always greeted you with excitement when you left the bathhouse. The property has a nice 1 mile trail with a little pond and some good trails. Definitely would stay here again. The tiny house bungalows looked very cute as well.
If you are car camping or have a rooftop tent most of the tent sites would technically work as well.

We had a great camping experience here on the property. It was very beautiful, quiet and with a wonderful host. The shower and bathroom were very clean as well. Would 100% stay here again if our future adventures brings us close to this location.

Beautiful site, directions were easy to follow and everything is marked. Bath house is super pretty, and we loved being able to get firewood easily on the property. Lovely trip and booking from start to finish, can't wait to return with my family!

Site 3 - Hideout Ridge
Hideout Ridge was amazing! Very well taken care of! The only issue is there is 1 toilet & 1 shower for all of the sites.

Site #4 is the most secluded spot and its next to the pond which makes for a really great spot to camp. The whole property is peaceful but I think the real gem is the cedar bath house. After a few days of roughing it, it was really nice to take a good shower before heading home.

Site 4 - Hideout Ridge
I had an amazing time at tent site #4. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and very serene. I saw lots of butterflies and rabbits. I felt extremely safe as a solo female camper. I highly recommend this property and the camping experience it provides. Also, about 20 minutes out is a wonderful sandwich shop, The Garden of Eating.

We LOVED this campsite everything was so well kept and neat. Site #3 where we stayed had so much space for us. We enjoyed walking along the trails and going down to the pond. We were the only ones there with all the peace and quiet. The restrooms are a bit far from the campsite but the walk is nice. Allison was great and was there if we needed her.

RV Camp Spot #1
I've been meaning to visit Hideout Ridge for months and finally had a chance to enjoy it this past weekend. Our experience met all expectations and more! Hideout Ridge originally caught my eye for a few reasons: 1) spacious camping sites/more private (compared to a state park), 2) close proximity to DFW, 3) presence of nice/clean shower and bathroom, and 4) ability to enjoy being in nature via trails, water, etc. We arrived mid afternoon and were greeted by Allison and her husband who were extremely friendly and helpful. The property is well kept, our site was clean and perfect for our setup, the bathroom/shower was impressive, and being able to walk the trails/enjoy the pond was icing on the cake. We will definitely be back soon!

My wife and I were happy to find this place! This place was awesome! Quiet and peaceful for our one night stay! We woke well rested and our hot showers in the morning were wonderful! We were greeted by Allison upon arrival which was really nice. Well kept property and the bathhouse is a nice facility to freshen up! Would recommend! Also grab a dozen eggs while you’re there!

The entire experience was amazing! The cottage was beautiful, and the land was serene. My husband and I enjoyed walking the trails and spotting wildlife along the way. My husband loved their pond and instantly regretted not bringing fishing poles. Their land was very nice and well kept up with. Allison and her husband were great host, and we appreciated their hospitality! I would highly recommend to everyone I know.

I stayed at tent site 4. It was the most private of the 4 sites. Plenty of space, firepit was very useful since it was early jan. Site provide lots of shade and was kept clean. Trash can and mulch were very handy. Bath house was clean and accomodating. I plan on returning once weather warms up.

Really enjoyed our time at the campsite. Really quiet and peaceful. RV site is on grass, but fairly level. Bathroom was very clean and taken care of. Would highly recommend checking it out!

Site 3 - Hideout Ridge
I recently stayed at Hideout Ridge, and it was the perfect getaway! This quiet campground is tucked off the beaten path, offering a peaceful escape surrounded by nature. The campsites were spacious and well-kept, with plenty of room between them for privacy.
The amenities at Hideout Ridge were a nice surprise. The bathroom had a shower with hot water, and the added touch of providing shampoo was appreciated, making it easy to clean up after a day outdoors. The large community fire pit was also perfect for our group, giving us a cozy spot to gather each evening for stories and s’mores.
Our group had a great time—especially the kids! The younger ones loved the geocaching around the campground, while the older ones enjoyed relaxing on the dock and looking at the stars.
The staff were incredibly friendly and always ready to help, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. Overall, Hideout Ridge offers a little something for everyone, and we’re already looking forward to our next stay (possibly in one of the cabins) Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful, camping experience!

Cool place to visit. We had site 1, closest to the bathroom/shower. Each sure has its own solo stove type deal but not grill grate. They did a good job with supplying a water jug (assuming for the fire), kindling, and trash bin with lids. The pond is small but nice! It has a fire pit with a grill grate there which was super clutch. The only bad thing I can say is that there are acorns on the ground so either rake before you set up a tent or bring an air mattress to sleep on. The restroom/shower was nice and had hot water. Bring your town towel if you need to take a shower. The doors are saloon style so they don’t lock. They do sell firewood there which was clutch.

It was BEAUTIFUL. Allison was super sweet and very accommodating. Easy to get in touch with. They have big firewood bundles for only $10 too. Bathhouse is definitely a plus and it's nice and clean. Kids caught tons of fish in the pond and I can't wait to go back!

Definitely recommend! Hosts are very sweet and helpful. The campground and walking trails were gorgeous and well set up. They have a really nice bath house which is a plus. Loved all the wild life. One of my favorite camp grounds and I hope to visit again!

The campsite was clean, the roads were paved with gravel, and my campsite was immaculate. The staff was amazing and checked on me quite a bit. The bathrooms are amazing and once I send a picture of the cottages to my wife, looks like we’ll be coming back.

I went for some alone time and thats what I got. The Vagabond was very comfortable and with the temps outside being over 90 degrees, the A/C was awesome. The bathhouse was a welcomed site after hiking at Cleburne State Park. Would like to come back in autumn 👍👍
