Ok so I rate this place a 10/10 & you have to truly understand why. It is GLAMPING: meaning you’re glamorous camping. You Are Still Camping! Starting your own fires will be the most common knowledge to have during any camping trip and for Ferncrest you have to be able to light: 1. A Fire 2. A Fireplace 3. A Sauna (if opted) & 4. A Hot Tub.
Mind you: all the wood is provided for purchase and that’s what you would do at any campsite because if not: How would they be able to stay running? I loved that Fire Starter was provided for purchase, lighters, coal for grills, etc. everything you would need is at there camp store!
I will say this: if you have never camped before and you don’t know how to start a fire, this one could be a mission for you.
Other than that the experience truly was amazing, as my wife and I spent our anniversary here and could not have had a better experience. The Sauna once it got to temp was AMAZING as well as the Hot Tub, which was extremely rewarding having to light the fire and keep it running. The room was clean, beds were comfy, ease of access to the entire campground was also a plus. All in all, what a great way to spend my anniversary.

We were looking for something a little more comfortable than our usual camping trip. We loved Ferncrdst. The prefab tent was perfect. We loved the beds and wood burning stove. There were lots of little conveniences like the cooler and charger provides as well as the towels and bedding. The coffee and ice cream truck were lovely. My husband loved the sauna. Thanks for a wonderful time! We’ll be back.

The tent was amazing. Very cool. Showers were clean and nice hot water. Bathrooms were clean. Ice cream truck and coffee were very good. The store was neat and easy. The staff- A plus!!!! Very nice, warm, informative, and helpful!!! Loved them. Only suggestion for visitors: follow those instructions for the hot tub!!! Give yourself some time to get it hot and don’t forget to stir!!! Overall: A+++++ all the way. Zero complaints. Loved the stay. We will be back!

Dome Tent - Double Bed
We had a wonderful experience at Ferncrest. The campsites were clean and easily accessible. The bathrooms were also very clean. There are lots of hikes and outdoor activities within a short drive. Hosts were responsive via text.

Dome Tent - King Bed with Hot Tub
The dome was clean, equipped, and the bed and chairs were comfortable, The wood fired hot tub was a great addition to the site. Women’s rest room was clean and the outdoor shower was better than most campgrounds because it wasn’t mildewed like most camp showers can be. Our dog enjoyed the grounds as well! The campground was a short drive to the promise land park hiking trails such as little falls trail and conservation island. We plan to go back in a few weeks!
