I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. The hosts are very welcoming. In fact if ya treat them well, you’ll be treated better in return. I was made welcome to use a kitchen, the laundry, a bathroom and shower, front/back porches, a TV, wifi, hammocks, bicycles, and more. It was more a home than an inn. The hosts had lots of good recommendations for food and travel locations. They had a newborn baby at the time I was there but I never heard it cry and when I did, they were considerate to close the door. There were even more acts of hospitality they made that I appreciate very much but to list them here could draw expectations that I don’t want to place on them. The space is very clean and tidy, and close to the interstate for good access to nearby towns. I would highly recommend this place and people to anybody, as the hosts are extremely inclusive, yet respectful of privacy.

My wife and I drove all up and down the road and couldn't find it. There was no service whatsoever so we couldn't get in touch with the guy. We ended up just staying at a Motel 6.

Great little place to stay!

Great little place to stay- quiet, secluded, and easy to find! For camping and our camper it was perfect. We purchased the hook-ups and had electricity throughout our stay which was nice. We’ve actually already booked our next stay here because we enjoyed it so much. Looking forward to returning very frequently!!

Our party of 3 loved staying at Lucian's place! The bed and hammock were comfortable, fans were strong, and the outdoor shower was hot. Lucian was very friendly and was on the porch to meet us at check-in time. There were many amenities provided including cookware and dishes, towels and blankets, coffee, and a few basic toiletries. The location was also awesome being only 30 minutes from the beach and 15 minutes from the Blueberry Festival in Burgaw. We'd love to stay here again next time we're back in the area!

What a lovely spot! We are so grateful to Trace & Sam for being such incredibly kind and welcoming hosts. We were given amazing recommendations for places to see around Rocky Point, and we really enjoyed hanging out with everyone. We felt very comfortable and safe in our room at the house, and would recommend this as a great place to chill and spend the night. Would love to come back and see the family again (including Ryan and Greybeard)!

Charming and inviting!

Amazing hosts! Lucian and Sam are friendly and inviting people. The room was also amazing! Comfy bed, cool hammock and the breeze is excellent! Their house is a very charming oasis hidden away from the hustle and bustle of town while still close enough to everything for convenience. Love how it feels like you're in the woods! ❤️ Will stay again!

Rustic redneck is the word. Initially we were excited to come and stay here. However, the advertised pool is really just a muddy clay pond with tadpoles in it. Although, finding this did give me a hearty laugh; over all the yard was overgrown and full of sharp weeds. The stairs up to the porch has a rusted metal grate (can be barely seen due to weeds). This comes right before the broken steps which are followed by warped boards making it challenging to access the kitchen/bathroom. A bathroom that is... incredibly open. The shower is fully open outside. The fridge is half full so bring a cooler for drinks. The people were kind but suddenly flipped on us after having already offered a discount for an extended stay (month long). Instead increased the price and told us to leave and hour earlier than our checkout time if we chose to leave. The host is heavy drinker, though never inappropriate. Honestly impressed by the quantity but ultimately, it felt morally wrong to continue to financially fund this behavior. We will not be staying again.

Rest and recovery

Place was very welcoming and already chilled. Kitchenette was cozy and well equipped with basics. The tub was great place to soak, it was raining most of the time, so being a cozy atmosphere made it really nice to relax and stay in and rest. Host was great, quick at communicating and responding to any questions or concerns.

WOW! what an amazing place to stay. The hosts were amazing and so friendly. Super clean and perfect. This was the perfect stay for anyone that is looking to be close to the beach but still wanting that not too close feel. Easy to find and such a relaxing vibe. Wander Inn ••Red Maple RV Spot

Our stay at Lucian’s(Tres) land was awesome! Their home and yard are lovely and they had a perfect spot for our travel trailer with electric and water hookup! And for a super good price. They even have a community kitchen and bathroom that we had all to ourselves. Tres also gave us plenty of recommendations on where to visit in the area and is super friendly! We would highly recommend this place to any travelers coming through and we wish we could stay longer. We will definitely be back!

Nice Spot to Park Our Camper

This neighborhood spot is easy to pull into with our 20 ft camper and truck and the host graciously helped us back out onto the street when we needed the help. We appreciated seeing the friendly host’s efforts at renewing the property in a sustainable manner. We also appreciated the amenities of a clean community toilet and kitchenette.

What a lovely property and people hosting it. The history of the place is wonderful to learn about and the land is full of interesting plants and trees. Plenty of room to turn around even my 12 passenger and with a 12' trailer. Great for kids and pets. Would definitely stay again.

Great For a Quick Stop

Loved the open air kitchen/bathroom. Great for a quick overnight stop but could also be good for a cheap beach visit. Only 24 min to the beach—felt quiet and private but close to some gas stations and food if needed.
