This site is suitable for self-contained camper vans, motorhomes under 24’ and small camp trailers (pulled by adept drivers in small vehicles ;) ). It is located on five acres bordering the Gila National Forest Dragonfly Recreation Area.. This is a quiet, rural neighborhood approximately six miles from downtown Silver City. Just across the road, the Dragonfly Trail System, at an elevation of about 6,200 ft, is available for hiking, bicycling and horseback riding. There are a few trail options of varying lengths for day hikes in mixed piñon, juniper and scrub oak with grassy meadows and a seasonal creek running through. Bicycles can be rented in town, and there is a local horseback outfitter available with advanced booking. The surrounding area has many attractions, including the City of Rocks State Park, the Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument, the Catwalk Recreation area, Gila Hot Springs, Faywood Hot Springs, San Francisco and Turkey Creek Hot Springs all within day-trip distance. The town of Silver City has many galleries, shops, beautiful murals and a historic walking tour as well as the WNMU Museum and Silver City Museum.This site is suitable for self-contained camper vans, RV’s under 22’ and small camp trailers (pulled by small vehicles).
