We loved the cabin, it is cute and roomy. Tim is very hospitable. The location is perfect. Enjoyed our stay there very much.

My husband and our two kiddos (4 & 7) stayed for two nights in the cabin. It was so relaxing and felt like we were deep in the woods. Timothy was amazing from the start. I had asked if we could possibly check in early and he was okay with that. We ended up having car trouble on the way to the cabin and didn't check in until dinner time. He was so great about the whole thing and had even turned the heater on in the cabin before we arrived because it was a cool night. The cabin and bathroom were both clean.
Timothy was lovely to chat with and was available by phone or in person at any time. He gave us a complimentary bundle of fire wood, a goodie bag, and three gallons of water.
Pineleaf and Timothy are both wonderful and we plan to stay again in the future. A tranquil, quiet place to stay and a very accommodating host!

Tim was an exceptional host! The property is beautiful! The is no shortage of nature and tall leafy trees. No noisy traffic and no camping neighbors near each other. The cabin was equip with more than enough “oops I forgot my…” items. Pet friendly, clean, well taken care of well loved piece of serenity.

Extremely secluded, quiet, calm place.
First time using HipCamp and I picked a great place for it. Ended up leaving a night early, just due to the weather decided it wanted to be winter again, in May, and me and my wife only trying to survive one night in a tent 😂

I’m writing this review while sitting on the deck shortly after sunrise. Tim, the host is absolutely awesome! He greeted us at a meeting spot to lead us to the cabin, it is very secluded and hidden away in the woods. Once we got to the cabin I was more than pleasantly surprised to discover the cabin not only has a nice little fireplace heater for the chilly Michigan nights but there’s also a small refrigerator that helped a lot! Tim gave us a goody bag at check in that had yummy happy treats! He also provides the first night of wood for free, only $5 a bundle after that. We enjoyed our stay so much we decided to extend it a night. We will absolutely be back!

Excellent Hipcamp experience
Wow, this Hipcamp far exceeded our expectations! We ended up upgrading to the cabin, which was available and a welcome respite upon arriving late after a rainy drive from Akron, Ohio. It was equipped with an electric heater and mini-fridge, indoor lighting, fire ring with grill grate, table and chairs on the deck, camp chairs, even a wagon for hauling gear from your car (short walk from parking spot to cabin, unless you have super high clearance) or firewood. The cabin campsite was spacious and quiet and would have easily fit several tents in the yard. Tim was so accommodating, staying up to make sure we found our way. He stopped by the next morning to drop off a care package and give us some recommendations for local sights to see. We walked the property the morning we left, and the other campsites all had fire rings and either a picnic table or a plastic folding table for added convenience. We will definitely be back – next time with friends! FYI, Apple Maps might take you across the street from the pineleaf driveway when using the Lat/Lon coordinates. Centrally located to experience a wide range of NW Lower Peninsula adventures.

Absolutely amazing getaway!!! This place is so peaceful and full of to much beauty! Perfect way to disconnect and reset! Tim was an amazing host who went out of his way to make sure we had a good time! We will definitely be coming back!
I enjoyed spending time with my old friend from school! Although we didn't catch any salmon we still had a great time! Wish the stay was longer! Very beautiful God's country!

Cozy cabin surrounded by serene woods. I loved how off the beaten path this campsite felt. Tim is very nice and helpful; the cabin was stocked with supplies that came in handy. Nice trails to explore nearby. A car with four wheel drive would be most helpful to get down the driveway. Will be back!

We had an absolute great time here, Tim was extremely helpful and accommodating. The sites were simple and perfect for a secluded camping experience with no noise from roads or other people. Would come back again 10/10 times.

The cabin was perfect for our family of four. It was private, peaceful, and cozy. The site has a very secluded feel but is a short drive to tons of of amenities. Our family had an amazing time walking the trails with the dogs and we especially enjoyed riding our dirt bikes and quad around, then relaxing at the fire to close out the nights. Tim is an amazing host and an awesome guy. We hope to return soon!

Tim’s place was exactly what we were looking for. It was secluded and comfortable and equipped with everything we needed. Tim was a great host and always available for questions and recommendations. The property was absolutely gorgeous and we loved riding the ATV’s and dirt bikes around with the kids. Our dogs loved to explore the campsite, play frisbee in the yard next to the cabin and the kids loved playing in the yard as well. The cabin was comfortable and accommodated my husband, my two kids, my two dogs and I perfectly. It had a fire pit with grilling grates so preparing food was easy. Firewood was available at the office for purchase as well but complimentary wood was provided upon our arrival which was amazing. The mini fridge was also very helpful. The view was beautiful as well and we spent most nights relaxing on the deck next to the fire. We went to Torch lake nearby one day and the kids had a great time. We are already planning our next trip and are bringing more family members and friends next time. We can’t wait to come back, and Tim really made the experience so much better as he was so kind, helpful and just an all around easy going guy. My son loved when he stopped by to check on us in the mornings and was always eager to say hi and talk to him!

This stay was a fantastic time. It rained the entire first day, but we never felt it put a damper on our trip because the cabin was wonderful, dry, and cozy. We spent much of the trip with the doors totally open and felt connected to the outdoors, even though we mostly stayed inside that first night.
Tim was a fantastic host and so helpful in suggestions and ensuring we had everything we might need and we loved learning a part of his story.
The bed was comfortable, the fan kept everything moving despite the humidity, and the deck was a great place to hang out once the weather cleared up.
Rock hunting along the path was a great way to spend the sunny hours of the second day and I’m excited to see what tumbles from the few we brought back.
We have already booked for a second trip!

Pineleaf is AMAZING we spent 3 days and the accomodations were perfect! You can't ask for much more, lots of amenities not listed on the site and Timothy is nothing short of spectacular. He want above and beyond as a host, this is the best spot to stay if you're looking for secluded but still close to everything! Thank you for having us!!

My husband and I stayed at Pine Leaf for three nights and absolutely loved our stay. Timothy was a fantastic host. He had water waiting for us at the campsite and gave us our first night's firewood on the house, as well as a cannabis friendly care package. Tim gave us some great pointers for beaches, restaurants, parks to visit near his land.
He also pointed us to the nearby Starlight campground for showers. Pine leaf guests get $5 shower passes and they were so nice and clean! The site (#4) was super secluded and surrounded by beautiful dense Michigan forest. There was another party staying at the cabin down the road from us and we would never have known they were there except for seeing their car parked near the bathrooms. If you are looking for quiet, peaceful, rustic camping this place is a gem! The site was well maintained and raked out, came with a fire pit with removable grilll and picnic table. We will absolutely be back to see the color changes in the fall!

Very Rustic cozy cabin deep in the woods. The long trail in is a bit shaky so drive slowly. But the view and calmness of nature is amazing! Tim was an awesome host with an inspiring spirit. We will come back again! I recommend you bring a few gallons of water along with you for camping.

The cabin was very comfortable and clean. The deck was spacious and we enjoyed the campfire and the view from the deck. A much enjoyed quiet time with nothing but nature! Tim was a good host and showed us some local sights and lakes while we were there. I recommend Pine Leaf for a great getaway stay.

Tim was an awsome guy..my oldman didn't care for the site to small for us so we didn't end up staying..unfortunately..but I'd definitely refer.anyone to the campsite..too small for us..3 kids 2 adults..had to find somewhere else for weekend but all inall Tim was great guy!!

Tim was a great host. Friendly and attentive! The semi-rustic cabin was clean and cool in the shade with a fan going on arrival in late July. Porta- potty was clean and a nice feature to have. As was the mini fridge! We brought our dog who also loved the scenic, secluded valley in the woods. Hubby and I enjoyed lakes, rivers, Shorts Brewery in nearby Bellaire and hiking at Grass River Natural Area. Also, Antrim Natural Area Lake Michigan Beach is a must-visit! It’s about a 40 min drive North from the cabin. The beach was not crowded at all, and the water was bath water warm — I think because it’s the bay. Anyway, great time and would recommend for those who don’t mind bugs and a more rustic adventure with a bit of convenience too :)

Awesome down-to-earth dude. An even cooler place to stay away from the loud sounds of life. Very peaceful with nature being at every turn. It's rustic and cozy with better features than we thought. A hidden gem and will definitely be coming back

Our stay at Tim’s cabin was wonderful! The cabin was clean, the spot was so secluded and just what we hoped for. Tim made sure the cabin windows were open, and the fan was on before we arrived to make sure it was cool inside and he provided us with a bundle of wood for our fire. He even took us to his favorite spot to find stones. We will be returning, 10/10 recommend!
