Escape to Woodland Hollow, a 2.5-acre wooded retreat near Mancelona, Michigan, where the charm of nature takes center stage. This private forest haven, still a work in progress, offers a shaded and breezy escape with a rustic loop road winding through the trees. Wildlife is abundant—squirrels dart through the branches, while frogs, birds, deer, and rabbits add to the peaceful natural ambiance. Located just a few miles from Mancelona for supplies, near Shanty Creek for golf, and approximately 15 minutes from Torch Lake and Bellaire, the property is surrounded by hiking and mountain biking trails as well as nearby lakes. This is a raw, back-to-nature experience; guests should bring their own water and toilet facilities. A trail camera is in place to help ensure security. Visitors are welcome to hike to the back of the property, which is currently being cleared of stumps and branches and is planned as the future site of a tiny A-frame cabin. Feel free to ask for local recommendations, and enjoy my up-north property when I’m not able to.Nestled in a shaded clearing, this campsite features a rustic tent spot with a fire pit, ideal for a cozy campfire.
