A Rocky Mountain Glamping Experience Relax streamside in our private camp overlooking lush nature and towering rock outcroppings. Stroll along a rushing stream or head up challenging Moose Track trail to Balancing Rock. After your day of adventure or kicking back enjoy a hot shower. Share your revelations of the day around the campfire, roast marshmallows, or relish your favorite treat as you unwind. Bliss Canyon features 4 accommodations: 2 Gypsy Wagon Campers and 2 spacious Tent Cabins and a boondocking RV site. Teardrop camper sleeps 2 as an addition to any accommodation. The open-air, covered Kitchens have sinks, fresh, potable hot water, kitchenware, gas stove —pots, pans, dishes, utensils, etc, BBQ with side burner, critter-resistant food safe, bear-proof trash can, and picnic table outside. We provide a convenient propane campfire for safety since our climate is dry and often windy. No candles or open flames please. Limited WIFI available. There are easy trails on property along the lush stream (the original riverbed of the Middle Saint Vrain Stream), fishing or swimming in the pond (no lifeguard on duty), or challenging trails into Roosevelt National Forest from the property. (Ask Hiker Dot for guidance.) Several National Forest access points, where you can enjoy peaceful walks away from crowds, are a short drive. Dark Skies: If you like to watch the stars and meteor showers, Bliss Canyon is blessed with dark skies with little light from the plains. Bring your telescopes and explore the Universe. Rocky Mountain National Park, one of the five Crown Jewels of the National Park Service, is nearby. The closest trailhead in RMNP is 10 miles, the next trailhead at Wild Basin entrance to the park is 13 miles, and the Beaver Meadows entrance (main entrance) is 36 miles. Rocky Mountain National Park has breathtaking drives, easy strolls with interpretive signs, and 360 miles of trails. (Advance reservation required for entry 9:00 am to 3:00 pm for main park, or 5:00 am to 6:00 pm for Bear Lake corridor.) Indian Peaks Wilderness also has several nearby access points and trailheads. *** Bliss Camp awarded Runner-Up for Best Glamping in Colorado for 2023 and 2024 *** Bliss RV site is quiet, private, level, easy-access boondocking site, perfect for your self-contained unit for RV'ers who are prepared for a rustic camp away from others. There is a clean and maintained porta potty. This is not a tent site. Campers must have their own wastewater containment. Parking is primarily on a well-graded shoulder with pavement beside (private road, no traffic). Be aware that one needs good backing skills; you will need to back 300' from the road into the site. This is not a pull-through location. Quiet, under-control dogs are welcome with a limit of 2. Our property, Bliss Canyon, is 5 acres of streams, ponds, rock outcroppings, canyon walls, and level areas surrounded by 400 acres of National Forest. There are easy streamside trails and the challenging Moose Track trail to the balancing rock. We have opened this site after many requests from campers looking for a unique, uncrowded location outside of traditional campgrounds who don't need additional amenities. Bliss Camp is only 10 miles from the charming town of Lyons, home of Planet Bluegrass which hosts renknowned music festivals, many eateries with live music, shops, coffee shops, parks, and grocery market. Jewel of the rockies, Rocky Mountain National Park is also nearby; 20 minutes to Wild Basin, 30 minutes to Longs Peak entrance, and 45 minutes to Beaver Meadow entrance. There is also easy access to several National Forest trails and recreation areas. On other areas of our property we rent 2 Vardo Wagons, the 10' x 12' Frontier Tent, and the 12' x 14' Explorer Tent for the full Glamping experience with amenities. There is some road noise during the day, but nights are quiet and peaceful.

Explorer Tent Glamping
We had such an amazing stay. The site we stayed at was above and beyond our expectations! Not only did my kids get to explore close to camp but also they had things set up for the kids to do. We really enjoyed being outdoors without the hassle of setting up our own tent and camp site. The outdoor kitchen was my favorite and of course we loved the outdoor shower. We are already palling our next trip we really really enjoyed it.

Explorer Tent Glamping
I feel lucky to have stayed at Dot and Byron’s property. From the second you turn off the highway, you can tell this place is special. They have thought of everything you could possibly need and despite being outdoors, the tent/kitchen/porta potty was cleaner than any hotel I’ve stay at. My husband and I haven’t felt this relaxed in years. We cannot wait to come back next year.

Amazing Tent and an Amazing Time

Honestly, I am so tempted to not write a review cause I want to keep this secret so I can go whenever I want and not have it get popular. However I can’t lie even by omission. This was the best set up I have ever been in. The tent is great. The kitchen set up is fabulous. The area is great. There are lots of lovely seating areas. The patio/eating area is lovely. The shower has amazing water pressure and it was so nice to come “home” and shower after a hike. I cannot over state how relaxing and lovey this stay was. There’s a little road noise from being in a canyon and the port-a-potty is shared with another site but that in no way reduces the enjoyment of the location. Dot is lovely and responsive. I am literally planning on going back again this year.

Accessible spot to nearby towns!

Bliss RV Site
We camped here with our 24' hard side trailer for 3 nights. The stream is really sweet and a nice sound at night and in the morning. Our young kids (10 and 5) enjoyed playing in/around the stream, as it was hot enough to enjoy the cool water. The difficult part was backing into the spot, but was not impossible or difficult once you got into the driveway and past the big rock. The site is on a broken asphalt road and part gravel base, and there is a picnic table and port a potty, which was clean. There is a large open garage/structure nearby that is used as a working shop, but the wood work stopped for the time we were there. There is a nice little hike through/up the rocks from the campsite, which was a fun short adventure. You can hear traffic coming from the highway but it is intermittent and not overly distracting. Dot & Byron we're very nice hosts and greeted us upon arrival. The location is not far from Estes, Rocky Mountain National Park, Longs Peak, or Lyons.

Frontier Tent Glamping
A lovely stay in a beautiful location. Dot and Byron clearly care about the experience of their guests. You’ll find lots of little surprises as you stroll throughout the camp sites. The bed was very comfortable and a kitchen and hot showers really topped it off.

What an amazing first experience with Hipcamp. Dot and Byron were awesome hosts and the tent and grounds were absolutely fantastic. I can’t say enough about how great these two are. You can tell how much love they have put into this place.

Frontier Tent Glamping
We had so much fun here! The site is amazingly well-stocked. The only things we needed to bring were food, clothes, roasting sticks, and swimming towels. Comfy bed, super nice camp kitchen, warm water for the outdoor shower, and so much to explore. It’s magical down by the creek. You can go into Rocky Mountain National Park before 9 am without a permit, and there’s an entrance (Wild Basin) just 20 minutes up the road, so we had a breakfast picnic by the lake and did a little hike one day. Dot and Bryon are great. I can’t wait to go back. Perfect for families who don’t want the effort of a full camping trip.

We had a great time at our little camp spot. Byron greeted us who was very welcoming and kind. It was a nice location, not too far from town (Lyons) but also off the beaten path enough to feel secluded. Lovely little river spot that they have landscaped to be a cool little swim spot that our 5 yr old loved.

This was a very fun and unique camping site. The full kitchen is very helpful. We loved all the games that were around. The site itself is gorgeous with a stream running through and ponds. Having a propane fire was nice because it was one less thing we had to worry about. The covered wagons having lights was really nice. Me and my husband and my six-year-old son stayed in one wagon. All around it was a very enjoyable stay. This is definitely GLAM-ping!

We enjoyed our stay - comfortable beds, hot shower, nice kitchen area, fire pit. Dot even brought us a heater when the temperature dropped. The only thing that would have made it better would have been a way to keep food cold - there's no refrigerator and we didn't bring a cooler, so we ended up eating out a lot.

Relaxing and Peaceful

Bliss RV camp was such an enjoyable and relaxing experience. The property is great for exploring and the pond so refreshing for a cold plunge. Byron takes such good care of his beautiful piece of paradise. About 20 minutes from Main Street Lyons with breaktaking views along the drive. Can’t wait to return.

We loved camping with Dot and Byron. The instructions and directions were clear, and Dot was there to welcome us as soon as we pulled in! We wish we had planned our stay for more than 2 nights to enjoy the property even more. It’s so comfortable and the property is well thought out. The beds and sheets were so comfy and warm, and the portapotty was insanely clean!! Would highly recommend this stay! Thank you Dot and Byron 🙌🏽

Cozy site nestled in nature
Frontier Tent Glamping
We booked this site for friends while we stayed at the Explorer site. The Frontier is perfect for a couple and can easily accommodate a preschool or elementary-aged child, too, although it’s much cozier with a third person. The gas fire pit and picnic table are nestled against a rock, offering a private feel to the site. The site is well lit at night with split and electric lighting. The kitchen had all the conveniences you would expect from a home, except it’s outside. The shower at this site had a nice changing room, too. Everyone enjoyed themselves on our weekend of glamping and we plan to return.

This was a lovely spot to relax and enjoy some time together. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting Dot and Byron and chatting with them. The bed was very comfortable and the shared kitchen, fire pit, and hot shower were lovely. We particularly enjoyed the screened in room we used in the evenings to unwind after busy hiking days.

We came for weekend away and found a perfect slice of tranquil heaven. Looking to dip your toes into the experience of camping without all hassles of camping and having every single item? Look no further, this is the place. We hiked in the RMNP, read, laughed and experienced the great outdoors while giggling over s'mores and making memories at the campfire. Our favorite amenities were the fantastic outdoor kitchen and hot shower, and Dot is the perfect host. We’ll be back!!!

If you're looking for a peaceful escape, this is a wonderful spot. We loved falling asleep to the sound of the waterfall and creek right beside our campsite, and the Bliss Campsite was a perfect fit for our little pop-up camper. The property has a calm, welcoming atmosphere, and the owners, Dot and Byron, are genuinely kind and hospitable. It's a beautiful place to relax, unwind, and reconnect with nature. Highly recommended!

Fun glamping experience!
Explorer Tent Glamping
Dot and Byron were friendly hosts who thought of everything we needed for the ultimate glamping experience. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had full sets of dishes / utensils, and the solar lights made it easy to walk around at night. The camp is nestled on the mountainside and surrounded by trees. Lyons is a short drive away if you forget a staple. Kids and adults enjoyed the plastic hatchet toss game. We had a minor issue and the hosts came over right away to resolve it. It will be hard to go back to regular camping after this experience. We will definitely return.

The best glamping experience

We had such a wonderfully relaxing time at Bliss Camp. It was exactly the experience we were hoping for! A secluded spot in the mountains, with amenities available so we didn’t have to stress or pack too much. The campsite was so beautiful, we spent a lot of our trip just enjoying the nature around us, without needing to go anywhere. Dot and Byron are super friendly and helpful, and very responsive to questions. When we mentioned getting low on water they brought more to us within a few minutes. We also brought our dog with us and they were so sweet to him, and he played with their dog too. I would absolutely glamp at Bliss Camp again!

This mountain camping getaway was pure bliss for me. I stayed in one of the gypsy wagons. It was cozy and adorable. There’s an outdoor kitchen, fire pit, hammock, air chair, trails, creek, mountains. Everything! I’d love to go back sometime. It was easy to find and just off the main road that goes up the canyon. Dot was a very kind hostess!

Fantastic location outside Lyons and accessible to area mountains. The water flowing through the property was a key feature, the pooled waterfall areas were ideal for swimming. Our dog was in heaven. Very impressive what Dot and Byron have done with the different types of camping on the property. Hosts were friendly and super helpful.

Byron and Dot were incredibly friendly and welcoming hosts — you can tell they truly enjoy sharing their space. They made me feel right at home and had some great recommendations for local trails and scenic spots that really made my stay even better. The property was peaceful, well-kept, and a perfect base to explore the area. Would definitely stay again!

My family and I really enjoyed camping at Dot and Byron's boondocking site. I have a 24 ft. travel trailer which fit nicely in their spot. The area is beautiful to say the least. Dot and Byron were very hospitable and very helpful in many ways to include providing information on the area and helping me get my camper in place. It was quiet and peaceful even with other guests on site. Initially, the proximity of the workshop and permanent trailer was slightly off putting but with all the goodness that feeling faded fast. We had a great time and I felt relaxed there.
