Located near Lake Tejas or Steinhagen Reservoir travel 2.9 acres into a wooded hunting ground and enjoy a weekend of natures beauty. When you’re done setting up camp, hike the forest trails enjoy some vollyball with your friends and picnic under the shade of the trees. Our sites does have water access, an outhouse with a flushing toilet. Access to a rec area with volley ball. We also rent tents upon request. We have a 10 person tent for $50 a large 4-5 person tent with screened in area for $30. We offer a move in the woods package as well. A projector/screen setup and you bring a movie or rent one from us for $1 per title.

This is the little cabin in the woods that sleep 2-4 people. Equipped with a shower, ac, wifi, microwave, roku/TV. You will enjoy the full glamping experience as you sleep under the stars in the middle of a forest. The property full of hiking trails to explore, volley ball, and plenty of room to build a fire as you watch the sun set. Stay a night or 2 this is a private cabin that we know you will love when staying a week or just passing through.

Travel 2.9 miles into a wooded hunting ground and enjoy a weekend of nature's beauty. You may bring a movie or rent one from us for $1 per title. Lake Tejas or Steinhagen Reservoir is 15-20 min away however you will have access to a near by lake that is only a hike away.

Even though I booked at the very last possible minute, David went out of his way to be helpful and accommodating. The site is very rural and secluded and waking up to a rich chorus of songbirds including Hooded and Swainson’s warblers was delightful.

Great hidden gem

Upon arrival late at night although I gave David a short notice he showed up in the Darkness with his family and showed me around the campsite and made sure that all our questions were answered unfortunately on the second day my girlfriend who isn't a big camper wanted to cut the trip short and David was courteous enough to provide us a refund although he didn't have to we'll definitely consider coming back in the future the campsite was very well organized and clean and easy to locate. Highly recommended!

This was my second time visiting David and his family’s campground. This place is very secluded and ran by a very respectable family. I will be coming back to THRIVE for the foreseeable future. 10/10 recommend!

Perfect Peaceful Getaway!!

The mocking bird cabin

Staying at the thrive tiny house was an absolute delight! The peaceful atmosphere and stunning views made it the perfect weekend getaway. The house itself was thoughtfully designed, with cozy yet modern accommodations that exceeded our expectations. It was clear that a lot of care went into every detail, making it well worth the price. The endless breathtaking trails and quiet surroundings added to the relaxing experience and we left feeling completely refreshed. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to unwind in a beautiful setting!

My kid’s and I camped out at THRIVE over the weekend. The area was really nice and we would love to come visit again! The running toilet was much appreciated.

Davey the host was gracious and very friendly. Currently the site is a work in progress. There are several things to compliment; the deck platform, fire pit & flushing toilet were all great. The surroundings were less than stellar as it is in progress. A lot of clearing debris and the road to the site is rough. We have a 4x4 so it wasn’t a problem for us but a sedan or two wheel drive may have problems particularly after rainy days. We did enjoy our stay but the cost seems a bit high for the current state of the grounds.

I enjoyed camping at this site. The restroom, access to water, and electric was a nice bonus. But, the sites for tents has a lot of roots and debris to clean before placing the tent. Overall, it was a peaceful stay and if you value amenities more than trails 100% recommend.
