We are located on 89 acres of forest land off Carmel Valley Road, just 5 miles from HWY 1. Nestled within oaks, Monterey pines, and redwoods, Saddle Mountain offers a great family friendly getaway for those seeking a break from the bustle of life.
Please note, all our sites are pet friendly, but there are additional fees and size limitations depending on the type of site. Please add to the reservation or message us.

These non-drive in tent sites are designed for tent camping only, vehicles cannot park at the site directly & parking is a 1- 5 minute walk from the site. Each site includes a fire pit, a charcoal BBQ grill, and a picnic table.
3 site options located in two separate areas. If you desire to have a specific site number, please send us a message and we will do our best to accommodate based on availability. $25 site guarantee fee to lock your reservation into a preferred site.
Site 40 is 25 feet in length and 16 ft wide, with half dirt and half grass turf area. Site 42 is 25ft in length and 12 ft wide, only dirt ground. Both are located in our Middle Grove, closest to the communal areas.
Site 31 is 40 feet in length and 13 feet wide. Keep in mind this site is located at the very top of a steep hill, accessing the communal bathrooms/showers and other amenities requires guests to walk 5-8 minutes up/down hill or drive 1-3 minutes to the closest designated parking areas.
Base price includes 4 guests (including children) and 1 vehicle. Up to two additional guests for a maximum of 6 total guests and a second vehicle can be added for an extra fee per night: +$10 each additional adult/child +$30 for second vehicle

Our tent sites are terraced throughout the hillside of our campground. Each site has a similar total square footage of intended space for your tent/vehicle, dimensions will vary in length and width. Some sites are better suited for vans, round tents (indented tent space 12X12), others have better layouts for long rectangular tents (intended space 10X14). Please be sure to state your vehicle or tent size in your booking request. *not all tent sites are pictured in the listing.
Sites also come with a picnic table & BBQ. Charcoal, Duraflame/wax logs & propane are allowed only. Absolutely NO WOOD BURNING is allowed.

I had a lovely time staying at Saddle Mountain. The staff were friendly and helpful and the facilities were top notch. I booked a tent site (#31) that was comfortable and has a nice view of the sunset, though it was bit of a hill to walk up from the bathroom. I wish I had time to stay and use the pool and sauna. Would have made it more worth the price.

Had a great stay at Saddle Mountain! The sites are not very private as they are mostly terraced up a mountainside. But everything was very well-maintained, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the facilities are wonderful. It exceeded my expectations and our group had a great time!
