One of the first farms in the area, dating back to 1860’s. Grainery is believed to be the oldest building, followed by the house. The original house was a log cabin and added onto making it into 2 story house today. The current Barn was built in the early 1900’s. The property was once dairy farm, and plant nursery. Enjoy the trails and the lawn around the barn. Be cautious of stinging neetle. Many birds; morning doves, thrushes, catbirds, green herons, gold finches and many more are seen. Our recently remodeled 1 bedroom cabins offer a cozy space to reconnect, relax and make lasting memories, while our glamping domes allow you to live in nature. Our property is comprised of 6ac of land on the Wisconsin River...we have a cornfield to the North, a seasonal cabin to our South the river to the East and a road and natural area to the West. We are 1.8mi from downtown Wisconsin Dells. Our property has 4 glamping domes, 4 cabins, perfect for couples and friends to come to the same place and have their own accommodations, 1 cottage with 2 queen beds, a Gathering House (Converted Tavern) social area, that is set up as an intimate and cozy atmosphere (think speakeasy), a 24x24 covered deck and 24x10 patio area. Follow the trail down the hill towards the river and you'll find 225ft of raised walkway through a natural Sandstone canyon that arrives at our private 80ft dock on the riverfront. You'll find excellent walleye, muskie and sturgeon fishing as well as carp and catfish sheep's head and a bounty of other stuff to catch along with scenery that will make you fall in love... The views from the dock are the crown jewel of the property. We offer a central charcoal grilling location by the Gathering House. We have a fire pit in the space beyond the covered deck and plenty of wood to burn on site. Each glamping dome also has it's own fire pit. I would definitely stay up there again. Lots of privacy and the train running not far by peaceful in its own right. I heard coyotes in the distance and a screech owl pretty close. It is also a great place to look at the stars.

The site I had was great to park my teardrop camper. Peaceful solitude. There was a toilet room but I had my own. It looked clean and organized. A little noisy at peak times as it is on a corner of a well used hwy H. Other than that I heard owls talking to each other. Very cool. Recommend.

This is an intimate little place, really quite lovely in the farm yard. More appropriate for tents (we had a teardrop that was difficult to situate). Never met the hosts - I think they were away, we didn't see lights in the house or any activity. Electric cord provided was not long enough to reach site, even with my own extension. A nice place to overnight.

I loved the beautiful and private setting we had behind the barn. Site had electricity to run a box fan I brought which was a life saver since the 4th of July weekend was HOT. it was nice to just pull up in our van and have a fire pit with chairs and table to use. Firewood was even available. All we had to do is fill up and deflate our air beds each day and go. Would never do the traditional hauling everything but the kitchen sink camping again. There was abundant wildlife to enjoy was well. Highly recommend coming for a stay.

This was such a beautiful place. Tanya and Cale were fantastic hosts. The domes were the great and there was plenty to do on the property from kayaking on the river to the trail they have. I absolutely loved it and will come back.

Absolutely loved our stay at Sandstone! Location was ideal, close to everything but tucked away and peaceful. We rented one of the glamping domes. Did not anticipate how comfortable and private they would feel. Waking up to a beautiful morning in the woods while still in bed was like no experience we've had before. There is so much attention to detail throughout the property. Tanya and Cale clearly put their hearts into building something special here. We are definitely returning for another stay this year.

The domes were such a unique experience. The snow falling and being in the woods felt like you were in a snow globe. The property is so beautiful. We loved the walk to the water and the hiking path on the property. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a getaway to disconnect!
