Beautiful views and sandhill cranes. Nicely cut area for the dogs to play. Unfortunately, we didn't realize that the camp spot (fire pit) was right off the side of the home on the property. We were not comfortable camping so close to someone's house, and while they were there. We decided to leave early.

The property is very spacious, quiet and well take care of. The host is very responsive and easy to talk to. There was PLENTY of space for my dog to explore ( think two freshly mowed large , irregularly shaped oat fields plus a large natural lawn around the camping spot and down to the barn. I liked the tree lines and higher grass to set boundaries for him. The very minimal traffic on the dirt road kept things quiet and the road pleasurable to walk on. Due to the heat, we choose to make use of the electric hookup. The hookup is close to the house ( see photo), but since nobody was there it was a non issue. Over the official camping spot is a bright light that you might like or not. On a cooler day, we would have chosen to drive past the official spot and closer to the barn for better stargazing without the light. It’s nice to have a Hipcamp with choices :)

I had a peaceful night stay at this excellent little spot just a short drive off the highway. Tricia was kind and courteous (sorry about driving the wrong way!). I stayed on site 3 and the campsite was private, comfortable and very quiet despite being just off the main road. All of the amenities and setup were exceptionally thought out. Will absolutely be swinging by here again.

We loved camping on Adam's "little slice of heaven"! The views are amazing and the area is quiet. We realized at the last minute that we need power for our teardrop camper and Adam responded immediately. The area is close to many lakes and we visited a few. We loved swimming at Half Moon Lake. We also loved our walks to and from Union Cemetery - just up the road. On our last night of camping we were gifted with a rainbow and a family of swans on the pond. We enjoyed a quiet and peaceful weekend. The view of the barn and pond were lovely. There were swans on the pond and Sandhill Cranes and deer that came around every day. We parked our 30ft camper up near the house where the power was, nobody was around all weekend. If you wanted to feel more secluded you could set up down at the far end of the barn (without power hookup). Nice fire ring and the wood was right there too.

My friends and I really enjoyed the Sassy Fox campsite. The camp was well marked, clean, and the host was responsive. We really enjoyed all the fireflies around the campsite! Our only suggestion is to mark the well for guests to easily find in thr future.

We loved this property. The owners didn't realize we were there till the next day but rode out to say hi to us and let us know we could take our time tearing down which we really appreciated. There was tons of space to roam and my son put his tent up in a separate area from the main campsite which the owner said was ok. I hung a hammock by the creek and had the best nap of my life. The bugs were not too bad the only thing I would mention is that the stinging nettle or bull thistle (not sure which, I thought it was nettle but the images don't look right on Google) was quite prevalent all over the rent site so I put down a tarp to stop it from getting me. I highly recommend walking or driving as much of the property as possible. The stand of birch trees was pretty cool too! I will be back!

Such a clean, quiet and beautiful spot! I’m sure the sunrise/sunset would have been awesome if it wasn’t raining, but still was a nice space for the night.
