Bought to get grounded W.H.Y. did I purchase this 5 acres of land? This is my personal property I bought so I could get grounded while being surrounded by nature. Worth Healing Yourself is W.H.Y I invested in this land as well as myself! Enjoy rock hunting for agates, jasper, hematite, petrified wood and other mineral specimens. Property is 25 minutes from Richland Center. 30 minutes from Wisconsin Dells. Public land with miles of trout stream 3 miles away from the propertyy. The 400 State Trail is 7 miles away from property for bicyclists. Public road ATV and UTV trails surround WHY.  Both Lake Redstone and Dutch Hollow Lake are 10 miles away. The Baraboo and Pine River are within 10 miles. The famous Bunker Hill Tavern that hosts the cannon run is 1 mile away! Local village of Cazenovia offers two small town Tavern’s that serve food and good company. There is also a convenient store and small grocery store located in the village as well. The original log cabin is still part of the farmstead that originated back in the 1880's. The site was a family farm until around the 1940s. Also, the land was the Eastern banks of a large logging mill lake/pond 150 yrs ago, so the shoreline slopes do not allow campers in/out of the pasture areas. A popup would be feasible with a full size 4 wheel drive utility vehicle in river bottom/shorelines. Tents /Low impact camping are best. In 2019 a transition to Animal Therapy, Fishing Therapy, and Pastured pigs from New Zealand which originally were almost extinct because of their friendly nosey nature at times gets them into trouble. They graze on open pasture most of the year and rest in the sun next to a trout stream. Learn more about this land: We are a working farm with mostly rescued farm animals. Many of the animals have special needs here and live their lives as free-range animals. The river in the back is home to wonderful Brown Trout and smallmouth bass. Also at times, there will be a couple dogs being trained and worked with too. You select your location for your primitive camping experience. If any special needs for a person arise, such as cane, charcoal grill, camp lantern We keep a small shed with supplies even items like tarps, cots, sleeping bags, even fishing rods. The owner is a highly achieved angler that has been filmed for the "Discover Wisconsin" Television TV show. and is available for guided fishing adventures and education in the area for all species. Also, certain times of the year are excellent for wild plants and mushroom foraging. Note this is the Driftless area of Wisc. where no glaciers came through. We have bluffs and streams around every curve of the road. The Wisc. Rivers very close too and has great fishing as well. The neighbor of this farm also rents and performs livery service for kayaks, canoes on the Pine River. Many times of the year, fresh meats are sold right at the farm as well as homemade fishing lures ready for fishing adventures. Note: Many times I am at the river fishing or in the pasture planting and reforesting this former GMO corn farm after years of heavy spraying. With Maples, Willows, apple, pear, plum, oak while trying to manage the evasive plants too. Please understand rainfall, safety of small rivers/waterfront changes. If river front takes on water, camping is all moved from water edges. We do not allow any camper over 15 feet and you must have vehicle that can get through wet mowed fields if it rains since we are along a river/wet lands, if it were to rain we move vehicles to higher dry ground if they a low to the ground . We have a gentle sloped hillside here so always dry areas to park. Other vehicles park at the top of the pasture, in farm front yard and we transport all gear to the river front. Small low to the ground cars are not wise here as there are 4 rain water trenches in the bottom 10 acres the keep rain water draining to ward the river.

Imagine looking out the Lisney Grand Log Cabin window and realizing that the landscape has remained virtually unchanged for over 10,000 years! While most of the State was covered and scraped by glaciers of the last Ice Age, this small section of the State was not. Hence, its geology remained intact. Locally this region is known as the “Driftless Area” and encompasses both the Kickapoo Valley Reserve State Park (8,600 acres) and the Wildcat State Park (3,600 acres).In this area, archeologist have discovered a total of 596 sites dating between 10,000 to 12,000 years ago inhabited by ancient people. This includes ancient campsites, farming areas, linear and conical mounds, once-occupied rock shelters and many petroglyphs. And if that’s not enough to wake-up to, then enjoy the fresh air, clean water, the breath-taking views and the daily visits of wild turkey and deer.This Amish built cabin is 1500 sq.ft. and is minutes from hiking, biking, paddling the Kickapoo River, food and beverages as well as world-class trout fishing, snowmobile and horse trails. Lisney Grand is a two story, two bedroom one bath cabin with an additional large sleeping loft. Open floor plan includes a full kitchen, dining area and living space with a cathedral ceiling. The cabin and grounds are filled with original art from artists across the United States (some available for purchase). Enjoy the beautiful sunsets and amazing views of the Kickapoo Valley Reserve State Park (8,600 acres) while swinging on the porch swing located on the porch that wraps around 3 sides of the cabin. The yard contains a picnic table, fire-pit, and direct access to the Kickapoo Valley Reserve and its trails. Please note that the cabin has a wheel chair ramp off the front porch and that the main Living room, Dining room and Kitchen are open design, however, shower/bathroom may not accommodate a wheel chair. Beautiful, secluded campsite with a babbling brook running through!! The region is gorgeous in the fall. The outhouse was clean and well kept. Tai + Stella’s visitor guide and map were very informative and easy to follow. Logan brought us firewood and allowed us to enjoy the area in peace. Highly recommend if you’re looking for an escape out in nature.

What a gem! This magical valley offers private campsites with a meandering creek running by—perfect for cooling off on a hot day. Settle into your hammock with a book, then stargaze under some of the darkest, most breathtaking skies you’ll ever see. The resident herd of sheep adds so much charm—you can watch and listen to them as you relax. The outhouse is impressively clean and well-kept, and you can purchase nice-sized bundles of firewood right on site. Honestly, you don’t need to leave the property for a fun, restorative weekend. For a little adventure, hike up Rainbow Ridge and catch sight of the neighbor’s horses. Did I mention this place is magical? I can’t wait to come back!

The hospitality that Afton provided was impeccable, by far the best I’ve experienced with Hipcamp and I use Hipcamp a lot. Not only was she a great host but a super cool gal as well and she put me onto one of the best local fishing spots too. 10/10 would recommend and I would 100% stay here again and you should too!

We stayed at the second campsite in Beaver Haven. An amazing spot with the stream looping around it. Outhouses are in top notch shape! Fresh spring water was a plus too! The hosts are great at communication and offering assistance to their guests.

The camp was absolutely beautiful and Tai and Stella were great, leading us to the site and showing us around. The farm is picturesque and the spring water was icing on the cake. There is a spring that flows through the farm and you wake up in the morning to birds and a babbling brook.

Flutterby Farm was the most magical place to camp for the weekend! We can’t wait to return someday. My partner and I stayed at one of the campsites in Beaver Haven and enjoyed listening to all of the sounds of the local wildlife, stargazing, and dipping our toes in the creek that runs through the campsites. Tai was so kind and showed us around when we arrived. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to experience the magic of the Driftless Region!

This space is like a dream, definitely not like any campground I've been to before. The winding country roads passing by buggies and neighbors waving were signs we were going to the right place. Our site was surrounded by a babbling creek that we splashed around in during the day. The dogs especially enjoyed that part! Each site was spread out and private, with the creek joining the grounds together. The compost outhouse was awesome and I never had to wait in line even with all of the spots occupied. It was so peaceful and tranquil but we also felt able to let loose and have joyful moments. Having spring water and firewood available was amazing and we only had to leave the property once to reup on supplies (theres poor service but reliable wifi to upload maps to the nearest stores, noted on the welcome guide). If you have dogs or children there are spots that are more secluded to choose from. We liked Coyote to camp by our cars but our pups are still practicing not barking hello every time a neighbor passed by. We felt so lucky to have to found this slice of bliss amongst the acres of farmland and rolling forests. Being there exceeded our expectations and we can't wait to go back.

We had a phenomenal time staying on Gary’s land! He’s such a nice guy with a plethora of knowledge to share. He had the fire going for us when we arrived and brought us hot coffee the next morning :) The animals were incredible! Many are free roam and we got to encounter several different ones. We felt very safe knowing To Go protects the land and keeps coyotes, etc away. The river is beautiful and quiet. The entrance is through two gates by his house; you can come and go as you please and he’ll meet you when you arrive to get acquainted with the simple-to-use system. It’s close to town and Gary is a great resource for any questions! We would absolutely stay again.

It was my second time at Flutterby Farm. I really love this property and I’m so thankful Tai and Stella and Logan are so generous to share their slice of heaven with the rest of us. The star gazing is unbeatable and having creek access at each campsite is a huge bonus. My Labradors were loving the water. My friends and I have always felt safe and welcomed and I plan to return again in the future!
