The property is very secluded, but only 2 hrs from D. C. and Baltimore. The space can accommodate 5 tents comfortably or a few small campers (w/o hookups). Please note- I only book one group at a time. You'll have plenty of privacy! Spend your day bird watching on the river deck, put up your hammock and chill, go hiking or mountain biking at Cacapon State Park, take the kayaks out and paddle around, go fishing, or take a float trip. I can provide info on put in/take out spots depending on how long you'd like to float. I have 3 kayaks available for your use, or BYO if you'd like to venture further outside of the property lines. There is one big fire ring for cooking and/or bonfires, along with a large stationary stand up charcoal camp grill. There is also a small communal shed down at camp that contains extra camping supplies, etc.. feel free to use use and put back and or/ contribute to it! :) This spot is close by to Berkeley Springs, Paw Paw Tunnel, Cacapon State Park, and other nature preserves. More hiking, biking, restaurants, spas, antiquing- all within a beautiful 20 minute drive if you wish to venture out. There is a cabin on the property. I will more often be home than not, I will communicate with you about that around your stay. Sometimes I"ll come down to the river frontage if I drop in for a float .Also, we all get around on four wheelers and UTV's. So you will hear them from time to time. If I am home, please feel free to come up if you have any concerns/questions or to say hi! :) *Please note, you can normally get to this site without a 4 wheel drive vehicle. However, when the river is high it will sometimes flood the low water bridge where it crosses the Cacapon. If this is the case during your stay, I will provide all necessary information regarding projected river levels and directions. I will also offer a full refund if the bridge is impassable. The cabin was womderful. It had everything we needed for our overnight stay, including heat, coffee press, some water, fun games annd books, and a clean outhouse just a few steps away. We enjoyed a campfire by the river, and loved being so close to Shepherdstown ~1.5 miles away. I hope to return in the warmer seasons!

Kara’s property is a lovely getaway in the woods. It has all the amenities you may need, and a little extra-like the very nice hot shower. If you are down at the campsite on the river, you have river views all the time, if you are up at the top, you can simply walk down and get a great view. Would stay again! The glamping option was very nice for when it started to pour down rain. We hung out, played games and still had a great time! Kara‘s instructions were clear and very helpful.

Very picturesque setting near an eclectic town. I went there by myself, no pets are allowed and it was everything I had hoped for. It was the last day of a week long trip and it is worth staying for multiple days. Views and cabin amenities are numerous and would recommend to future travelers.

So beautiful standing on the waters edge. Cozy, clean cabin. Nicest "outhouse" I've used. Shepardstown nearby is a great little town and so close. Note: Wifi did not work well at all but only really wanted it to look up nearby places. Sadly it was drizzle so I didn't get to sit by the firepit by the river so I guess I'll have to come back. :-)

Camping at Tamara's was relaxing and an overall pleasant experience. Watching the sunrise over the mountains in the morning, warming up by the fire at night, and spending days with the sweet animals was a blessing. Between the arts and crafts (really fun for little ones), learning about historical tools (think Little House on the Prairie), and improving my skills for fire building and cooking over a fire, this was a delightful and educational experience. The location is near hiking trails with great views, and near several ice cream shops (a great treat after a good hike). Tamara is a good host. This is definitely a location that I hope to return to.

The Little cabin was pretty comfortable especially given how hot it was. I wish we had realized that the wall fan had multiple speeds! :-) we were really thankful that there were no tent campers on the other sites so that we could easily access the river for fishing. The $5 bundle of firewood was an excellent deal and we enjoyed sitting around the fire pit. The town of Berkeley springs is not that far away and was a cute little place to visit with some fun shopping and a lovely little museum.

Weekend Trip to CLOUD NINE VICTORIAN FARM

We had a wonderful time at Tamara’s farm. We were welcomed with farm fresh eggs and firewood our first evening where we sat bye the fire and cooked yummy hot dogs and corn. Our teens stayed in a tent - their first time camping in a tent and loved the experience. In the morning we took a long morning walk taking in all the nature - the weather was fabulous. Tamara shared some of the history of the region and we spent the afternoon hiking in the mountains where there was an overlook which was stunning. If your looking for time out in nature in a rustic setting with warm hospitality we highly recommend Tamara’s cottage.
