Hilltop with views of the mountains facing east and west. Close to Harrisonburg. Several areas to camp in, take your pick. Nice shady wooded area overlooking Joes Creek. Be happy to give you a tour of the mushroom farm. Learn more about this land: The wooded area is next to my house. There's about 4 acres to explore and a gravel road rarely traveled for a nice walk to a view for a great sunset.  Harrisonburg is 5 minutes from here and has lots of night life, micro breweries etc. I have long power cords if you need electric at the campsite. You may hear owls hooting at night.  The campsite is under white pines with a thick bed of pine needles. There are several campsites under the red cedar trees that are naturally bug and mosquito resistant.     Shenandoah National Park is about 45 minutes away if you go to the 33 entrance and 45 minutes away to go to the Luray entrance. Lots of bears there and hikes to waterfalls. No hunting there.  Solar panels provide half of my energy needs. GW National forest has lots of hiking and mt biking and is half an hour away. Great views of the mountains from the  campsite area.  I'm dedicated to having lots of native plants and trees. I do not spray any pesticides.  Plenty of free firewood. Not too far off interstate 81.  I give tours of the mushroom farm whenever the weather isn't below freezing. I don't recommend anything larger than a conversion van. Very small pull behind campers are OK . All campers are required to leave every day from 1 to 5. Belongings may be kept here. There is a bathroom inside the house. No showers , please guys relieve yourself behind a tree instead of tying up a bathroom .. Harpine Highway is nearby and does have some trafffic noise but it's not close enough to discourage most campers.

Easy breezy! We arrived late and a “late arrivals” packet was waiting for us. Our site was clean and the hookups worked perfectly. The trash area was also clean. The little store was really cute but limited - so come prepared. Neighbors were quiet. Views beautiful! They even have a dog park!!

After a 5 day stay last year, it was a no-brainer to spend a night here when traveling through this year. We got pizza at the food truck, parked beside Elkton Brewery and had a tasty brew while waiting. Love the view and friendly hosts at Awesome Views. Thanks, and hope to see you again.

Great camp. This was our first time with our new travel trailer. Host was great. Terrific amenities including frisbee golf. Great store. Bathrooms were spotless. Whole property is clean. Watch the sunset from the field above the fishing pond. Fantastic

Great dog friendly spot close to Shenandoah NP! Would recommend bringing a portable toilet or other bathroom accommodations if possible, but there is a gas station right down the road if absolutely needed!

They made our stay easier by moving us to a better pull through site. Also, they had some fun Easter activities for the kids. The view was beautiful and the staff were very friendly. We will definitely be back!

This is our second time here we were here a few years ago and it’s still awesome. Super nice host very peaceful a great field to fly a kite in. Also, it’s pretty close to entrance ramp to skyline Drive.

This is a great spot whether a quick overnight or several days. Stayed here last year and loved it so I used it again for a quick overnight stop during a road trip passing through the area. Safer, more quiet and obviously better scenery than using a Walmart or truck stop for a road trip overnight!

We really enjoyed the site. It has a beautiful view and perfect location to enjoy Massanutten resort. Vicki was very helpful and friendly. Firepit and firewood being available was a great bonus! We will be back when traveling this way!

The name Awesome View doesn’t even do it justice! We stayed last minute overnight and missed the sunset but if you can get there before sunset I would highly recommend it! The sunrise however was absolutely stunning! There are two horses on the property and they were a nice surprise when we woke up in the morning. My husband spoke with the owner and said she was very sweet and I had the pleasure of speaking with the owner’s father who lives up the road behind the property. He was so nice as he pulled in to make sure we were enjoying our stay. I would absolutely recommend a stay. It is also a short ride to the Skyline Dr through Shenandoah national park filled with a plethora of scenic overlooks. Perfect location! We would definitely stay again when we are in the area.
