(In some of the pictures you will see the horses in the area of the camp, but whenever there are campers they will not be turned out there.) There is 20 amp electric (which can safely power a 30 amp rv unless you run too many things at once) and water (hose). There is a porta-potty and a shower shed with a tankless water heater for your convenience. We also offer the option of a small bunk room in the barn. Heated and cooled (fan) with a small "kitchen" area, it has a pull out futon which sleeps 2 and requires you supply your own bedding and towels. 1 Hour to Mt. Rainier National Park. 1 1/2 hours to Olympia National Park. 2 1/2 hours to Mt. St. Helens. 1 hour to Seattle. Close to Puget Sound and loads of nature spots. Local hiking and fishing aplenty. Our property is surrounded by nature, yet only a 5 minute drive into town where you will find charming shops, restaurants, cafes and coffee houses. There is also a fabulous movie theater. And only 15 minutes to the Red Wind Casino. There is a railroad track next to the property, but it is only used on Tues. and Thurs. between 10 am and 1 pm when a short train passes by and then returns. Rarely, it may have an additional passing but not often and it has never run after dark or early morning. (It is a military train so pretty punctual). (Also, as we are only a 5 acre property, we are close enough to roads that you may hear some traffic. They are county roads though and not highly traveled for the most part.) **Trigger Warnings: We are near the military base of JBLM and so you will occasionally hear their military doings. Country neighbors occasionally do some target practice, so you may hear some shooting. As we are a horse property, we will also require that everyone sign a release of liability waiver and will require all adults to show legal ID upon arrival. * We require a completed profile with a picture before we accept a booking.

And only 15 minutes to the Red Wind Casino. There is a railroad track next to the property, but it is only used on Tues. and Thurs. between 10 am and 1 pm when a short train passes by and then returns. American Lake and Spanaway Lake (and their parks with playgrounds) for swimming and paddle boarding are both just 5 mins away! The owner lives on site, as well as several horses, chickens, and a dog. Large stone fire pit with chairs near house is available for camper use. Paddle board rental and bicycles for use on property or trails! Set-up your tent anywhere within the horse paddocks - there are no specific sites, although there is a small fire pit and rustic bench seating at far back corner of property. Tents can be outside of horse areas as well, if preferred. RV dry camping anywhere within or outside horse areas. For RVs needing dedicated electrical/water hookup, there are specific sites closer to the house. ***If you are travelling with more than one vehicle, please purchase an car extra parking spot.*** Only four 30amp RV spots are available and are most easily accessible for RVs under 30'. Standard 110volt outlets can also be available for RV use. Lots of wildlife and great walks. Extra amenities like the bathroom, kitchenette and laundry really were a huge bonus and added extra comfort to RV life! Giant park down the road, but the entire yard is fenced to allow doggy romping! My pup was in heaven. And there is also an adorable Airbnb room in the house if you have friends with you! Very cute town in the country full of friendly neighbors! A must visit!

This is such a special place! The Wanderbus was cozy and quirky and perfect. More than warm enough and Louis the Third is an immaculate toilet. I took advantage of the hot tub both nights and it’s such a great perk. Definitely try the tangerine essential oil stay with it! I came to take pictures and get some quiet reading time and it didn’t disappoint. I would recommend it so highly (as long as you don’t book when I want to come back!)

Gary was so attentive and welcoming! Even though I came during a rainy time, the land was beautiful and whimsical. The staff there were all so accommodating and helped with anything I needed (firewood, the hot tub, heaters). The community kitchen was sooo much fun to use and the shower was amazing! It was fun to walk around and see the bunnies and chickens as well as see how hard the staff work to create more fun amenities for the future. Gary mills the wood himself and you can see how all of the structures are such a labor of love!

We had a wonderful experience staying at Traci and Khris's property. All the communications after we made the reservation were clear and directions and instructions simple. Traci was there to check us in and help get set up. The property is beautiful and quiet with horses and chickens nearby. We stayed there in our travel trailer while doing a kitchen remodel nearby but look forward to going back when we can relax under the beautiful trees around the firepit! Definitely recommend!!

Weekend Trip to Hairy Eagle Lookout 🦅
This was a lovely place to camp with an incredible view! Level parking for our 25 foot trailer. There is some slight highway 101 noise, but nothing that would keep us from returning. It was a misty weekend, so we hunkered in most of the time. The clouds amongst the trees made for a beautiful view. We enjoyed going into the very small town to the Tipsy Whale for nice cider and beers. Mostly, we toured around and enjoyed the sea lions, seals, and many birds.

We had a wonderful stay, sad we didn't get a longer visit. There is tons of places to explore and we would definitely love to come back. The folks were helpful, kind and welcoming. Definitely has a family friendly welcome. The yurt was warm even though it was pouring all night long. First night we left heat on low, second night we left it off. They have probably one of the most well appointed kitchens we have ever seen, big and roomy. There are games and books and seating. Big family style table for games and dining. Like home away from home with loads of hiking trails near by. We brought our dogs and they had a blast. Next time we come to visit I wont be in class all day. We cannot say enough about how beautiful it is in camp and the surrounding area. 100% recommend!

The community house is stocked full of pots and pans and other baking utensils to virtually make anything you may be craving to make. Our 2 French Bulldogs also stay in this building but they love humans and all the attention you can give them! -We have a wellness yurt with well equipped gym that is available to use as an add-on. -There is an infrared sauna that can sit up to 3 people located next to the yurt accompanied by a cold plunge as an add-on. -You are welcome to wander around the entire property and grab fruit daily from the trees when in season or have us get you farm fresh eggs from the coop to eat for breakfast. -Say hello to the animals (sheep, goats, chickens, piggy, cats and dogs) or go for a walk/run around the countryside roads with walking/running/biking adventures available to you along the beautiful and paved Foothills Trail extending 21 miles from Buckley to Puyallup. -Communal fire pit areas with picnic table and chairs available when fire ban is not in effect. If your trailering, and the trailer weighs more than your 2WD tow vehicle, this place probably isn’t the best match. ✅ What Makes This Place Special: Backs up to 150+ acres of state timberland (10–20 year growth). This is a gorgeous park-like RV campground situated between the trees of the arboretum. No tents, please. Also we have NO public restrooms. Beautiful view of the mountains and forests here in western Washington. We are close to Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Rainier and several lakes. There are walking trails all around the site. The 12 acre campground is located on a 136 acre property that is an active Christmas tree farm. Trails continue throughout the tree farm. Many trails have a view of the Tilton River, which can be reached via a challenging 3/4 mile trail. Sites are on 10 acres planted with many different species of trees that are about 30 years old. Giant Redwoods, Cedars, and Maples are just a few of the varieties present. Part of the farm is still a working Christmas tree farm. The trails are wide and grassy. The old logging road that we use as a trail to the river has an elevation change of about 500 feet, the trail can be quite challenging. Bear Creek empties into the Tilton river at the end of the trail. There is an ART GALLERY where you can learn to pound flowers, see the host's artwork and get a cup of coffee! This is upstairs above the shop, right on the property. Tilton River Studio Gallery. Three sites have electrical hookups. Every site has a water spigot (use a pressure regulator if you want to hook up). No restrooms or sewer hookups. Garbage disposal site available Memorial Day to Labor Day. Tents can be pitched under four apple trees close to a fire pit for cooking. Beautiful area with horses and livestock to see in the neighborhood. A Blueberry Farm is across the street on Veazie picking around August. A Christmas Trees farm is across the street on SE 384th. Eagles, hawks, robins, doves, owls, and hummingbirds visiting hillside flower garden, are a few of the birds for your enjoyment. Check in is at 4:00 check out at 11:00 am, early check in is possible. Five quests are free with up to 2 more for a $10 dollar per person. Pets allowed on leash as there are wild animals on site. Modern Bathroom with cotton towels, soap, shampoo and conditioner, two sinks, shower with a claw foot bath tub, seven foot long, bathroom might be shared with other guests. A separate room with fridge and microwave, ALL Cleaned after each person just because we are really careful hosts.  Campsite faces a Christmas Tree Farm and cows in a field.  Traffic noise possible as Veazie Cumberland is a main two lane road 250 feet from camp site. Two State parks within four miles. Four miles to the town of Enumclaw.  We have a 3 or 6 person tent for rent, a queen air mattress, sleeping bags if needed as well all at reasonable rental prices. Drive in and enjoy a lovely view of unspoiled woods from the deck of your canvas tent. Enter the door into a spacious area with a king or queen size bed and small kitchen area. Each tent has its own heat source for your comfort. Each tent has its table right outside on the deck but it you are feeling social come enjoy our outdoor kitchen. We are open year round and It is different every season Our guests love staying here "This site has absolutely everything you need. You'll want to bring your own shampoo and conditioner, but I think that was the only things I noticed I'd want. They even had firewood for us, no extra charge! David, his wife, and everyone else that helps maintain the property were SO sweet and welcoming. Seems like it would be a lovely place to stay in the winter, so thats when I'd like to come back! 5 stars all the way for everything here, the thoughtfulness of the cabins, the cleanliness, the readily available kitchen and the hospitality. Several Olympic Natl Forest and Skokomish Wilderness trails can be accessed from Lake Cushman, including Mt. Ellinor, Mt. Rose, and Mt. Washington. When returning, enjoy what the property has to offer. Of the 11 acres, 10 acres are comprised of wetlands and their buffers. A trail winds down to Mill Creek just 1/4 mile downstream from the outlet of Lake Isabella. Here the creek is wide and it is permissible to hand launch kayaks and canoes. The trail is 1/3 mile long and the shoreline is required to remain unimproved, but the reward is access to conservation shoreline rarely seen by man. The lake is 200+ acres and boasts Lake Isabella State Park and a DFW public boat launch for easier access. The wetlands are critical for maintaining water quality for the local shellfish industry; access is confined to the trail and creek access needs to be gentle. But if you pause for a moment along the shoreline you'll be rewarded as wildlife begin to stir from their hiding places. Song birds, rabbits, deer, voles -- yes. But also river otters, beavers, ducks, cormorants, and owls. Mountain lions and coyotes are possible, and salmon run Mill Creek. Between the cottage and RV site is a large propane fire pit with half-moon seating - perfect for roasting S'mores late into the evening or stargazing in a region remote from city lights. With just a single RV site and cottage, the nearest neighbor several acres away, and only State land between the property and Hwy 101, you can expect a private stay in a forested setting with easy freeway access to the Olympics on one side and an idyllic private creek side nature preserve on the other.
