You will find numerous hikes in the Olympic National Forest within a short drive, a gorgeous waterfall and swimming hole within 5 minutes, parks, Whitney Garden & Nursery, boat launches, crabbing, clamming & oyster digging, wildlife watching, enjoying the Hood Canal, and much more! Or, just sit back and relax in tranquility, as the property sits at the end of a cul de sac just before entering national forest land. Be sure to leash your pets and keep a good eye, as there are wildcats, coyotes, and bears in the area.

Pull your RV or trailer onto this lot and take in the beautiful southwestern view of Mt. Jupiter ridge and a peek-a-boo view of the Dosewallips River! Listen closely, and you will hear the sounds of the river below. The lot is equipped with power and water hookups! Please be aware the water hookup is near the main gate entrance and the power is about 40 feet apart, so you may need a long hose (see pic). Enjoy the view from the large deck, firepit, or picnic table overlooking the river, valley, and mountains. This lot is truly a little slice of heaven!
Within a few minutes, find yourself at Rocky Brook falls (see pics) for a spectacular view and even a swim if you so please! Pleasant Harbor Marina (also shown in pics) also within 10 minutes! You will also find many hiking trails and parks nearby! There is weak cell service on the lot, so you may or may not be able to connect. I get 1-2 bars with Sprint.
While this property is not very far off the Dosewallips road (35 mph), it is generally very quiet and peaceful. You may hear cars and motorcycles from time to time, but very faintly. The lot is at about 350 ft. elevation, so you may get noise traveling up the valley from the residential community below (to which I belong), such as dogs, people using chainsaws, etc. There is hunting allowed in the national forest, so you could potentially hear guns in the distance during the day, but that is rare.
There are a few close neighbors, so please be respectful and quiet, especially in the evening. Please bring your own firewood when campfires are allowed and please do not forage for firewood on or around the property. Lastly, while the sightings have been few and rare, the neighbors have seen bears, cougars, coyotes, and bobcats near their homes and this property. So keep an eye on your children and pets, especially if off-leash (your pet of course!) The property also slopes a bit where the deck starts, so again, keep a close eye on the kiddos. You have a very good chance of seeing the local Roosevelt Elk that travel in huge herds around Brinnon (See pics). They sometimes lay down and hang out on the grass on the property! Make sure your pets have their flea and tick updates!

Located 10 miles west of Port Angeles on the scenic Highway 112. This is a small farm homestead with geese, chickens, and Flynn the farm dog. Backed by a forest of cedar trees and a creek running through it, there is plenty of privacy for campers on the 10 acres. There are several common areas should you want to visit fellow campers. Several areas have fire pits and mobile fire pits can be delivered to your camp site.
This is a “meet and greet” campsite where I place you according to your camping needs (remote/close to facilities, Rv/tent, size of party, etc). I have to be on site at your arrival, so please keep me informed of your expected arrival time.
Note: I love hosting campers with dogs. However, I have had two sheep put down due to attacks by guest dogs. My very friendly dog has been attacked by guest dogs. I no longer have sheep, because I won’t endanger them. You need to verify that your dog is not aggressive.

Very peaceful and nice location to Crescent Beach and a variety of recreation . Janelle was very helpful and made sure I was settled in ok. Both the options for camping are great and there is space and nature surrounding. Flynn the resident dog visited respectfully and we took a walk at dusk. It was nice to know he was around being so shepherdly sweet and friendly. I’ll be back.

Beautiful spot! Arrived on Thanksgiving night to a soggy and foggy view but the next morning woke to blue skies and beautiful Mountain View’s! Plenty of space and the deck and fire pit (although weather prevented us from using) was a wonderful addition. Even though the location is amount neighbors and other homes, it felt very private and very quiet. The views can’t be beat! Would stay again.

A great campsite I'd come back to! Was in beautiful wooded area with lots of privacy, really nice flush toilets, and spigots with clean water. The woodchip areas for pitching tents was a nice touch I haven't seen before, and will surely miss in the future. There were a few mosquitoes around so make sure to bring bugspray, but there are stores ~5 minutes away in case you forget that or anything. I recommend checking out all the nearby parks and towns.

We enjoyed our time on Will’s land. Unfortunately it seemed everyone was getting their year end wood cutting (a lot of chainsaw noise). Not as quiet as we expected, but still a lovely place. Rio our dog enjoyed his time off leash which is a treat. We loved all the hiking near by.

Amazing location! So close to all of the niceties of Langley, Coupeville, and broader Whidbey Island while still feeling remote and private enough to really enjoy the things that make camping special. The campsite was clean, well-situated with ample space between neighboring sites, and nicely equipped with a phenomenally clean and well-constructed bathroom. Arron & Jessica were communicative and helpful, and we would absolutely go back in a heartbeat!
We enjoyed the birdsong, deer sightings, and even seeing banana slugs in the vicinity of our camp during the morning. A+!

Beautiful campsite, really feels remote but very convienent to get items in Freeland or Langley.
This site is near the house as indicated, but it feels incredibly private. Some road noise and owls (!!) the first night so some might want ear plugs. We will definitely return later in the season when we can use the fire pit, the set up is really cool. Even with the burn ban it was a great spot to congregate. Easily could have fit a couple of tents and our truck/rooftop tent

My stay at High Hopes Camp was beyond amazing! The location is absolutely perfect—close enough to town for convenience, yet it feels completely removed from all the stressors of the city. Janelle was an incredible host and such a pleasure to chat with. I noticed some reviews mention the dog—let me just say, he’s a total superstar and made the experience even better. I would definitely recommend this camp spot to anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable stay.

We had a fabulous time on Janelle’s beautiful property, where we camped in our tent for 2 nights. Janelle welcomed us and was extremely friendly, this being our first time camping in the area. We were very comfortable; there were even extra chairs and tables Janelle let us use for cooking and relaxing; as well as a full toilet and water setup. The area was peaceful and beautiful with some bird wildlife and a very friendly dog Flynn. Highly recommend staying here! Thank you Janelle.
