We have a group site with dispersed camping. There is a portapotty available on site. This is our family retreat. Very calming and relaxing. Our season opens 5/15/2026 and ends September 20th.

JET NOISE DISCLAIMER: Most of north Whidbey is in the training flight path for NASWI (including our property) so you will likely hear (and see!) navy jets overhead during your stay. If you are sensitive to noise this may not be a good location for you.
**Cell service is very spotty as we are close to the state park, but there is decent WiFi signal at the campsite.
We live and work on the property (our house and shop are both ~100 feet from the Island Oasis site). We are very respectful of guest privacy but easy to reach if you need anything.

I had a great experience here. It’s a big space and very lovely. Did some trail walking and thoroughly enjoyed my fire under the stars. The old “Danger Ranger” centerpiece was great.

The Ranger, ha ha inside joke. The GM was extremely helpful on finding the discovery Trail! He knew my first name, but I do not know his. This RV park has only been open for 2 1/2 months. What a wonderful facility. Very clean and well kept. Deer visited our campsite this morning! What a joy. Private individual shower/bathrooms. The whole facility is immaculate. It definitely checked all the boxes quite safe clean and friendly. Thank you so much! You made our visit to the Pacific Northwest a complete joy.

I loved camping here. We easily fit 5 tents and 5 cars. The shelters made for a perfect escape from the rain at night while playing games and in the morning while drinking coffee. The kitchen shelter (which we called chow hall all weekend) is well designed with a space for a camping stove and a bookshelf right outside. Brian was also the ideal host: he was attentive when you needed him, and provided water for the weekend. It was a great place for 11 humans and three dogs.

Great new RV park! It looks brand new, very clean, and well-maintained. The showers were spotless, easy to use, and a nice bonus. The office was closed when I arrived a bit early, but they reached out right away and let me know where to find my welcome package. Location was easy to find, which made arrival stress-free. Overall, an excellent stay!

Had a lovely time with friends. Stargazing was excellent the first night with the milkyway just visible. Animals abound: deer, chicken, and horses in the area and elk, snakes, and salmon in the nearby parks. Little shed is a great spot for games and late night chats. The main area has a covered spot for cooking. Plenty of spots to place a tent not all are level but mostly inclined to one direction with little microterrain. Bathroom was an appreciated amenity.

This is a perfect spot for those wanting to ride on the Olympic Discovery Trail towards Port Angeles.
Spots are clean, the facilities are brand new,
and the wifi is great.

Loved our stay. We were greeted warmly and offered help on a best approach to back in to our space, being new to towing/camping (our 3rd time ever out with our new travel trailer) this was a much needed and welcome gesture. The sites are so nice and clean and grounds are very nice and new. The nights were nice and quiet with the only sounds being from the ships blaring their horns but it wasn’t bad at all.
Only downside was the dog run isn’t built yet and our shy to go while leashed dog was a bit of a pain but that’s our own problem now the campgrounds.
Bummer there’s a fire ban currently but again that’s not the campgrounds fault but it did kind of suck that other fellow campers ignored the ban and made campfires anyway, would have been nice to sit around a fire and make s’mores but we didn’t since we respect the burn bans.

Jill, the host was amazing. The campground was beautiful and all the extra amenities made the stay extra pleasant. Incredibly close to Deception Pass, so fantastic access to hikes and other feature of the park. Would definitely stay again.

Jill greeted us on arrival, showed us the water and electrical hookups and the guest house, then left us to our own devices. No other guests, so it was really quiet (as long as the Navy base jets weren't flying overhead).

Camp site is really nice and has plenty of space for a big group. Perfect spot for a families who enjoy outdoor activities. Good for beginner campers. Bathrooms are clean and well maintained, there is hot water you can use with no additional charge. Jill was very welcoming when we arrived. Overall we had a great time and would come back again!

This is a lovely RV site! You can hook up to water and electricity without the busyness of an RV park. The site is just a few minutes drive from Deception Pass state park, making it a really convenient place to stay. The property is easy to get to, but felt very quiet and peaceful. I definitely recommend staying here, especially in the summer, when the blackberries are ripe!

Rutabaga Ridge was easy to find with the directions provided. It’s a beautiful, secluded spot that feels completely removed from civilization — perfect for relaxing and unwinding. The property is very well kept, with a safe campfire spot, a clean outhouse, and well-marked trails to explore. We loved hearing the birds and being surrounded by gorgeous trees the whole time. A peaceful place to disconnect and enjoy nature! There are a couple of shelters to use as well.
