Our rental property was once a mini Rail Road with full size locomotive's, train cars, pumper cars and more. My dad & grandpa layed all the tracks & put together the buildings in the 1970's. Once done my grandma sold tickets to the tourist and my grandpa ran the engine around the 7 acre oval track pulling a train car full of happy tourist through the woods over the train bridge and past the big water tower back to their vehicles so they could finish their journies with a drive to Mt. Rainier. There is a lot of history on this property for our family and we hope by sharing it with others they will be able to experience some fun here as well.

PET OWNERS PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING: Please declare any pets on the “Who’s Coming” page. We have noticed an influx of owners that do not let us know and show up with dogs as we need to go over additional information. There is no additional fee but since we have livestock roaming freely around the property, to ensure their safety, long leads are highly encouraged especially if dogs do not have exceptional recall. They must be on leash no exceptions since we have had one too many situations with untrained dogs chasing after animals and not listening. Thank you!

Nestled at the foothills of Mount Rainier, we are a serene farm 45 miles away from Seattle. I live here with my partner Khohay who now takes care of his family farm which used to be his late aunts Soma Institute of Structural Integration School (now ran by his brother on Whidbey Island).

AMENITIES/THINGS TO DO:
-There is a communal bunkhouse on property available to guests with a flushable toilet and a hot water shower. It also includes a kitchenette and we welcome you to use any of the kitchen/cookware and appliances. Our 2 Frenchies also stay in this building but they love humans and all the attention you can give them!
-There is an infrared sauna that can sit up to 3 people located next to the yurt accompanied by a cold plunge as an add-on.
-You are welcome to wander around the entire property and grab fruit daily from the trees when in season or have us get you farm fresh eggs from the coop to eat for breakfast.
-Say hello to the animals (sheep, goats, chickens, cats and dogs) or go for a walk/run around the countryside roads with walking/running/biking adventures available to you along the beautiful and paved Foothills Trail extending from Enumclaw to Puyallup.
-Communal fire pit areas with picnic table and chairs available when fire ban is not in effect. We have a moveable metal one which we can transport to your camp spot if preferred. We sell a milkcrate full of wood for $10 if needed.

The property is filled with wild life. Mornings will be greeted with birdsong and our fields occasionally with elk, dear, and coyotes. Our property is a bird haven, so if you love watching birds we get regular sightings of Hawks, Eagles, Sparrows, Robins and little peaks of the adorable Humming birds. Our bunny population has no issues reproducing and filling all our bushes with their cute tails. If adventure is your desire, we are located perfectly!
Mt. Rainier scenic drive can be enjoyed from either 401 or a short drive to the southern entrance. Passing through Elbe where you can stop for a nice bite to eat on a train at the Mt. Rainier Railroad Dining Co. or visit a car show in the small quaint town of Eatonville. There's a plethora of things to do from hiking to kayaking, fishing, scenic drives, memorable dining, buying local organic fruit, visiting the Northwest Trek Wildlife Park and so much more. We truly love our property and it's location and we're excited to share it with you.

MTN View Manor is a 20 acre wooded parcel shared between the 7 new 6campsites that are located on the east side of the property at the beginning of both driveways. Beyond campsites 6,7,8 are private and set up for the owners only. Beyond sites 1-4 is owners residence and trail head to the Nisqually River. Not in the mood for a short hike to the River, cool off in the solar heated pool located near the trail head and house. POOL USE ONLY JULY,AUGUST,SEPTEMBER. River and Pool access is permitted 7:00 am - 8:00 pm. All of this is behind a locked gate just off the MT. Rainier scenic highway 706.
The first entrance is where sites 6 and 7 are located. The second entrance is where sites 1-5 and the airbnb are located.
Each site is clearly marked. Parking is permitted in front of each site. We provide a picnic table and trash bin at every site. No fires are allowed in individual sites but guest can congregate at the group fire pit that is located in the Middle of the field between campsite 3 and 4. We provide the firewood. The porta potty is located at the second driveway behind the privacy fence.
Campers in site 6 and 7 can walk through the woods on maintained trails to access the porta potty or drive back out to the main driveway. The sites are large and spaced out.

This secluded meadow has sweeping views, including a stunning shot of Mount Rainier on clear days. Surrounded by forested land including a park preserve, the land is quiet and private. A great place to watch birds, access multiple park trails by foot, or just enjoy being outside in nature. There are old fruit trees on the land that give plentiful fruit (most years) starting in August, and depending on the time of year you'll also find blackberries, huckleberries and salal berries. Additional tent sites are tucked into the trees. Serving all is an outdoor/covered compost toilet tucked into the trees a couple minutes walk from the meadow. There is also a spigot with hose where you can rinse off gear etc. A public swimming hole on Lake Florence is a short drive way, along with beaches. This location is only a mile away from the Mount Rainier National Park entrance. There is usually traffic going towards the National Park on weekends during peak season (July-August), so we encourage everyone to leave the site by 9 am during those days if you are planning on heading into the park. We really enjoyed the spot. It was in an interesting little neighborhood that was nice to walk around. The gravel was great for rain and the spot itself was very cozy. We would have stayed longer but I need Strakink to work remotely and there were just enough obstructive trees that even moving dishy way out we were unable to get past 94%. which equated to drops every 15 minutes or so. No problem for most people but not workable when you do a lot of video calls. Jayson was very responsive, and yes I swung that hammer 🤗

We were very grateful to get a quite literally last minute booking on Memorial Day weekend. (We’re travelling from Australia and didn’t even realise it was a long weekend until we couldn’t find anywhere to stay!) The property was tidy and very easy to access, there was plenty of room for our 25ft RV, and our kids to run and burn off some energy. Even the neighbours were super friendly and said g’day to us. Great little area down by the water. There's a decent grass field right across the street where my dog was able to play fetch every morning.
A mile up the street there's a gas station, laundromat, and a combo deli/convenience store. Most importantly, there's a black tank dump maybe a mile in the other direction in the state park, that only costs 5$ to use.

We just wrapped up two nights camping here with our kids and dog and this place absolutely delivered. From the moment we pulled through the locked gate, we knew we were somewhere special.
The site is genuinely private and spacious. Getting our trailer situated was a breeze: easy entry, plenty of room to maneuver and turn around.
Firewood was provided, which was a wonderful touch. We had a campfire both nights and just soaked it in. The skies here are dark enough for real stargazing, and we took full advantage of that too.
Practically speaking, the location is a hidden gem. Close enough to a grocery store that a forgotten item isn't a crisis, and great access to Gig Harbor if you want to explore but you'd never know any of that from inside the site. It feels completely tucked away.
We had the chance to meet one of the owners the morning we packed up, and they were just as warm and welcoming as the property itself. It's clear this place is well cared for and loved.
We'll be back without question. Highly recommend to anyone who wants a quiet, private escape near Gig Harbor.

Water pressure is very high as Jayson says on the listing and signage at the space, long as you have a pressure regulator or just filling a water tank for dry camping you will be fine. Porta Jon on site was super clean as well. I would recommend his space to anyone looking for a great spot close to the park!

Cozy camp with a site for a RV (shorter trailer or Sprinter) truck, or tent camping…they were all represented the nights we were there. Five minutes from the SW park entrance, five minutes from Ashford restaurants, less than an hour from Paradise Visitors Center and the classic trails. I would take Crystal’s over the unlikely opportunity in the park.
