One of the most significant values of Camp Lois is proximity. We are located less than 1 mile from the Nisqually/Paradise entrance to Mount Rainier National Park, which means you can avoid one of the biggest frustrations visitors face: long traffic backups and entrance delays. During peak season, signs posted along the main road often warn of wait times that can stretch up to 3 hours just to get into the park. Staying at Camp Lois means you’re already at the doorstep of adventure, giving you a huge head start on busy days and more time actually exploring Mount Rainier instead of sitting in traffic. Staying here means you’re already practically at the gate, helping you skip much of the stress, maximize your adventure time, and get to Paradise. Camp Lois offers year-round convenience to one of Washington’s most iconic destinations. You can wake up, grab your gear, and be at the gate in minutes. This is true pack-it-in, pack-it-out camping for those who appreciate privacy and simplicity. Your private campsite is all to yourself, offering a peaceful place to unwind after a day in the park. A porta-potty is provided. Camp Lois is also just 0.6 miles from the Nisqually River and the Nisqually dike, giving you quick access to beautiful river views, peaceful walks, and nearby nature right from camp. For hikers, the Wonderland Trail is approximately one mile away, making this an excellent launch point for bigger adventures. If your priority is location, privacy, and easy access to Mount Rainier without the hassle of crowded campgrounds or long park entrance lines, Camp Lois delivers. Bring your gear, pack out what you pack in, and enjoy old-school camping near one of the most breathtaking national parks in the country. The white camper/Camp Lois office is on the campsite property. It will be closed for your privacy during your stay.Classic Car Camping site. Great for Van Life and Tents. Camp Lois is located in a small neighborhood outside the gate to Mount Rainier Paradise entrance. There are full time residence, part time residence, and vacation visitors. Outside our entrance you will have access to Mt. Rainier through the gate. For your convenience, at the end of that road there is a round-a-bout.

Stayed here with my wife and son for Father’s Day weekend. Beautiful site with lots of space. Bathroom was clean and stocked. Easy to find and load in/load out. Easy access to the river, if you plan on leaving the site make sure to make a day of it because Rainer Park traffic can be brutal. Early morning park access is a breeze and not only were we able to beat the traffic but also the crowds up to Paradise! Absolutely would stay again

I absolutely loved my stay here and would 10/10 recommend this site. The campsite felt completely immersed in nature. The towering trees, wildlife, bird sounds, and peaceful surroundings made it easy to disconnect and relax. One of my favorite parts was falling asleep under the stars and waking up to the sounds of nature all around me. The site was quiet, well-maintained, and exactly what I was looking for. The bathrooms were exceptionally clean, which is always appreciated when camping. The location was also perfect. It was very close to the Mount Rainier entrance, making it an excellent base camp for exploring the park. Ashford was just a short drive away, which made it convenient to grab food, supplies, or a drink after a day of hiking. Directions were easy to follow, check-in was simple, and the overall experience exceeded my expectations. I would absolutely stay here again.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing Campsite Experience! This campsite was honestly one of the best parts of our trip. The area was super peaceful, clean, and surrounded by beautiful nature. The campsites had plenty of space, so it never felt crowded, and waking up to the fresh air and views every morning was incredible. The bathrooms and facilities were surprisingly well maintained, and everything felt very organized. The staff/rangers were also really friendly and helpful, which made the whole experience even better. At night the atmosphere was perfect — quiet, relaxing, and great for sitting around the fire and stargazing. It felt like the perfect escape from everyday life. I would 100% come back again and recommend this campsite to anyone looking for a fun, relaxing, and scenic camping trip!
