This location is only a mile away from the Mount Rainier National Park entrance. There is usually traffic going towards the National Park on weekends during peak season (July-August), so we encourage everyone to leave the site by 9 am during those days if you are planning on heading into the park. There is a full service restaurant (WildBerry Restaurant) that offers both traditional American and select few Nepalese dishes right next to the camping site. There are also more restaurants, gas station, and a grocery store about 5 miles from the location. You may see some elk and deers on the property if you get lucky.

Our accommodations include a 24-foot yurt (currently under repair, see below) with a private, semi-attached bathhouse, and a 10 x 20-foot tent cabin with outdoor kitchen and private outhouse with composting toilet. You’ll enjoy the outdoor shower that is available for all guests. The communal fire pit is a great place to roast s’mores and maybe meet new friends. I loved camping at this spot by the river. It was so conveniently close to Mt. Rainier, just off the road but far enough to only hear the river rather than the road. The bathrooms we clean, the campsites were well situated, and it couldn’t have been better!

we had a lovely time camping here! we were able to get to the skyline loop trail at rainier in ~50 minutes, and the site itself was beautiful with the fall foliage and the nearby train tracks. facilities (bathroom/shower) on site were well maintained, and our site came with a fire pit which we used during the nights. would 10000% recommend!

My wife and I had a great stay here! This was a last minute booking we made and we couldn’t be happier. The site was large, clean, private, and backed up to where a train goes over a bridge, which was an added charming effect watching the train go by often. Additionally, the host offered firewood with starter logs and comfortable chairs. Finally, the restrooms and showers were very well maintained, well lit, and the hot water in the showers was heavenly after hiking the Skyline Trail in Mt Rainier!

My toddler and I stayed one night and the grounds were clean and well maintained. Bathrooms were clean, ample TP and soap. Quiet area. My kid loved the wood carved animal statues around the camp site. We’d definitely go back on future trips to Rainier. No complaints at all.

We enjoyed our stay in the yurt! Plenty of bedding, towels, utensils for cooking and eating. No baking sheet, we used aluminum foil instead with no issue. Beautiful property, wonderful hosts. Will be back!
