This secluded meadow has sweeping views, including a stunning shot of Mount Rainier on clear days. Surrounded by forested land including a park preserve, the land is quiet and private. A great place to watch birds, access multiple park trails by foot, or just enjoy being outside in nature. There are old fruit trees on the land that give plentiful fruit (most years) starting in August, and depending on the time of year you'll also find blackberries, huckleberries and salal berries. Additional tent sites are tucked into the trees. Serving all is an outdoor/covered compost toilet tucked into the trees a couple minutes walk from the meadow. There is also a spigot with hose where you can rinse off gear etc. A public swimming hole on Lake Florence is a short drive way, along with beaches. Check back with us in the future as well, because we have big plans for additional amenities.

We're conveniently located on the main road to Mt. Rainier, offering easy access to the Nisqually entrance (only 15 minutes), Alder Lake (5 minutes), a gas station/convenience store (3 minutes), and local restaurants (3-5 minutes).
We provide EVERYTHING you need to enjoy a peaceful and rejuvenating camping experience.
When you arrive you will have a tent that offers an 18" queen size mattress with all necessary bedding, such as (plush mattress pad, sheets, pillows, and blankets),

Enjoy your own private lakefront escape on Tanwax Lake with your own large private dock to boat, fish, kayak or swim from. The property is setup with the ability to accommodate 2 recreational vehicles with full hook ups (30 amp power, water, sewer). Or bring a tent(s) and use the fully plumbed outdoor restroom including a toilet, urinal and sink. We have a couple of Kayaks and a paddle boat that you are free to enjoy. Majestic Meadows is located on the back forested side of 10 acres. Each campsite is placed far enough apart to have privacy to enjoy the serenity of the camping experience. The property is filled with wild life. Mornings will be greeted with birdsong and our fields occasionally with elk, dear, and coyotes. Our property is a bird haven, so if you love watching birds we get regular sightings of Hawks, Eagles, Sparrows, Robins and little peaks of the adorable Humming birds. Our bunny population has no issues reproducing and filling all our bushes with their cute tails. If adventure is your desire, we are located perfectly!
Mt. Rainier scenic drive can be enjoyed from either 401 or a short drive to the southern entrance. Passing through Elbe where you can stop for a nice bite to eat on a train at the Mt. Rainier Railroad Dining Co. or visit a car show in the small quaint town of Eatonville. There's a plethora of things to do from hiking to kayaking, fishing, scenic drives, memorable dining, buying local organic fruit, visiting the Northwest Trek Wildlife Park and so much more. We truly love our property and it's location and we're excited to share it with you.

Our family had a great fall weekend at the lake! Couldn’t have asked for a better site in terms of cleanliness and conveniences. Loved having full hook-ups for our trailer but also a perfect little bathroom too. Kids spent hours in the kayaks (don’t forget your life jackets if you plan to use them) and peddle boat. Even caught a BIG fish right off the dock.
Evenings were blissfully quiet but there was quite a bit of traffic at the adjacent boat launch throughout the day. More of a fun parade of boaters than anything that disturbing.
Highly recommend going the 2 miles to NW Trek for wildlife viewing. Such a cool park!
Overall it was a great stay and Joel was the ideal site host. Hope to be back!

The campsite came with chairs, a picnic table and a fire pit. They had wood for sale and buckets for putting out the fire as well. The outhouse was clean and they had a spigot with well water nearby. Fern gully was so cute. I would definitely come back. I did peak at the other sites too and sun-kissed meadow was just so beautiful. Highly recommend.

First of all, Yuliya is a wonderful host. She was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The site and kitchen was well stocked and even had complimentary treats and beverages. In addition to all that, there are 8 bunnies running free on the property and some are friendly enough to feed and pet. It was such a treat to watch them running around! We will definitely be back next summer.

The hosts are super nice. There was an issue and they came right down to deal with it. That's greatly appreciated. The property is beautiful and well kept. The campsites are large and well maintained. There was some garbage that somebody had left behind but we picked that up and took care of it.

My family and I loved staying at Yulia's. There is a well stocked kitchen, and the tents are really spacious, with very comfort.able beds. Her place is close to the Giffrord Pinchot Forest and Mt. Rainier. She also shared great tips on nearby places to explore and swim. We'd definitely stay again!

Had an amazing trip. Yuliya and her team were amazing. Everything we needed and more was right there. She is serious when she says you only need to bring ice and food. The entire place is like asking your wife or girlfriend to make a campsite a home. It rained pretty hard the first night and the tents stayed nice and dry. The wood and gas that is offered is cheaper than you can buy yourself. Nearby gas station charges $7 for a bundle of wood, Yuliya charges $5. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience!

We had a great time at Fern Gully. It felt very private despite a couple other campsites on the property, and the directions and signage made it easy to find. The toilet was very clean. It rained super hard during our stay but the trees overhead kept the site much dryer than it could have been.

Weekend Trip to Majestic Meadows
Great spot for a group! We were able to spread out tents and let kids roam and play. Hosts were very nice and offered to give kids a ride in 4-wheeler and showed us their cool property and fig trees. Great spot for a close to seattle little camping trip, especially for kids to run free and play! They loved the tree swings. There were quite a few ants, but they didn’t bother us much, we just tried to pick tent spots not right on their (ant) highways or (ant) neighborhoods.

I had a wonderful weekend staying at this campsite with my husband and daughter. I am NOT an experienced camper, and I don't even really like camping that much, but Yuliya made everything SO easy. It was so nice to pull up and have everything set up and ready for us. The tents were spacious, the air mattresses were comfy, the bedding was appropriately warm, and the overall campsite set up was very user-friendly. The location was also great; it was an easy drive to Rainier (but get there before 10 am or you will get stuck in traffic). We would definitely camp here again!

We stayed three nights at Majestic Meadows (Fern Gully). The campgrounds are spacious, clean, and quiet. The hosts were friendly and accessible via message. We did have some issues with finding the place via GPS, so just note that you might have to pull over and re-enter the address. It is right behind the fire station, which makes for a convenient landmark.
I would recommend the site for folks who are looking for a mellow and quiet place to camp.
Things to note:
1) The campsite is right behind a fire station, so you will occasionally hear sirens. This didn't bother us, and it wasn't constant.
2) If you're squeamish about outhouses, you might want to consider that this is a vault-type toilet. It is maintained, but on hotter days it may be odiferous.
3) If you're camping with kids, there are at least two decent playgrounds nearby. One is in downtown Orting (right across from an ice-cream shop). There's also one just outside Orting.
4) It looked like three out of four of the sites had a good amount of shade (I can say this is true for Fern Gully). The weather was pleasant while we were there, but Fern Gully has a slight slope, so you might want to be conscious of that while setting up your camp.

This location is great if you want the convenience of being near a town with supplies and groceries just a few mins away. It’s a pretty spot. I think it’s a great place to bring kids. There is a lake about 10 minutes away where you can go fishing… As far as swimming, I think the nearest lake may be about 30 minutes away. The hosts were awesome and super accommodating.

We enjoyed our stay, we came for 3 nights in the middle of July. the space was semi-private, there’s a side road next to our campsite so there were people driving past more often than we expected. the bathroom and water spigot were close, less than a minute to walk there. this spot was shaded and had a nice breeze going through it so we stayed cool even through it was in the 80’s! not too far from grocery stores, etc. we had some trouble finding the site at first from the main road, but once we were on their property it was easy!
