Seth was wonderful! Very welcoming and a joy to be around. The farm is lovely, and the Bell tent was cozy with our bedding and Seth’s space heater. It lit up really nicely with just a small lamp. Seth is doing strong work to rehabilitate an old dairy farm and is so community minded! I know others will enjoy this space and I look forward to seeing all the becomes of Glendale farm!

Weekend Trip to The Glendale Farm

We stayed here on our way to Whidby Island. We got there late and met the owner on site. They were very kind. The spot is a big, nice open field. If it’s raining, make sure to bring boots because the grass will soak your feet. It was awesome camping right next to an old grain silo that had two barn owls inside. So amazing! They said they are fixing up the farm so there is a bit of equipment scattered around. The owners house is pretty close to the field, but he gave us complete privacy. One of the ports potties was brand new and clean which was very nice. In the morning their dog came over to visit, but was quickly gestured back to the house. Really nice spot! Would stay again.

This is the perfect getaway from the modern world, while still maintaining your modern comforts of home. The space is conveniently located on the outskirts of Port Angeles and only a mile from the beach or a five minute ride or short bike ride to town. With the Olympic Discovery Trail out the front door, our location is easy-access biking - pedal in-pedal-out of the camp spot to the local Elwha River for a dip, or ride into town for Happy Hour at a local winery. You will thoroughly enjoy your stay at Elwha Acres.

The River Resort sits on the Pilchuck River, it's located on a dead end private gravel road. This is one site with two bell tent canvas yurts. One party at a time is all we allow. You will not be renting separately from someone else. There is power for RV hook up close by. with additional room for more tents. There is a CLEAN custom made vault restroom for both men/women with lots of wall reading plagues for your bathroom entertainment!!! Also, an instant hot water tank for a shower for guest to use between May 1 thru November 1 of each year.. There are two picnic table, a covered kitchen area, just bring your own water to wash dishes. There is an above ground wood fire pit. A covered gazebo over another wood pit that is shared with Bruce and Lynn during rainy times. For an additional fee, a wheel barrel full of good dry wood for $25.00 keep in mind it may be a bit wet in the 2025 year due not having enough time to thoroughly dry out. Owners live on property but you’ll have 100% privacy at river (unless you want to kick it with a couple cool cats like us). The listing is for eight people on the property but if you choose to bring additional guest, it will be five dollars per night per guest ages 5 and above. (please do not include 5 and under in your booking to ensure you are not charged. But we do ask you do list everyone 5 and above so we know who will be on property. We are a recycle family so please use our recycle bins but you must take out your own garbage when you leave. We will provide you with two large garbage bags. We ask that you remove your shoes while in yurts. Animals are welcome and they can be inside the yurts, we ask they stay off furniture/beds. Also, we provide doggie poo bags and a shovel so pick up what they leave behind them. We have a camp box that can be rented if you want to camp but do not have typical camping supplies. We are in process of collecting menus from local restaurants and can provide details for local activities. You can fish from our rivers edge but you must have a fishing license and know the fishing regulations in order to not be fined. Wifi in on property. But come relax and let the stresses of daily life until you get back home from being on this beautiful property. Fall asleep to the river flowing!

At 180 acres Glendale Farm in Chimacum, in operation since 1857, is one of the largest single agricultural properties remaining in Jefferson County. The farm includes prime agricultural soils, over half a mile of East Chimacum Creek, and forested uplands. The farm continues to provide food, fiber, and habitat for future generations. The easement protects a buffer zone for salmon and wildlife habitat along the east fork of Chimacum Creek and protects the agricultural and forestry values of the property forever. Jefferson Land Trust worked with Jefferson County and Jefferson LandWorks Collaborative partners to purchase the easement with state Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program Farmland Preservation grant funds, Jefferson County Conservation Futures funds, and community funds. This location provides easy access to trailheads in the Olympic National Forest, Mt Walker Viewpoint, and kayaking in the most pristine and protected inlets of the Salish Sea. Whether you are looking to eat fresh seafood or harvest your own, you will find all your heart desires: wild mushrooms in the fall, fresh nettles in the Spring, whale and seal watching!
