Saltgrass's location allows for many fun outdoor activities such as hiking at Kukutali Preserve State Park, crabbing, fishing, birding, bicycling and playing on the beach, my kids actually found a bottle with a message inside years ago. Alternatively, you could explore the many little shops in the towns of La Conner and Anacortes. There are multiple activities available, I would suggest calling ahead in order to book kayaking, rock climbing, whale watching, or a sailing charter. You could easily take a day trip to the San Juan Islands by taking a ferry ride out of Anacortes, walk on or book ahead if you are taking your car. Also, the Swinomish Casino and golf course are within two miles. While you're here you may meet our pup Turner, we also have two cats and several chickens. On the property are your hosts Jeri and Nancy, as well as our handyman Sean, Saltgrass boasts beautiful flowers, vegetable gardens, fruit trees, and yes, the Bay. We try to live harmoniously with the land. We would love to share our space with you! Due to potential freezing weather and vulnerable water pipes, we are taking the Bamboo cabin offline for December 1 through February 28. Care for safety must be taken on the river edges as they are steep in places, the glacial water is very cold, and it has a strong tidal current and hidden undertows. Life jackets are strongly recommended for any activities on the water and we discourage swimming. We are located just 65 miles north of Seattle and minutes from I-5. This is your landing spot to explore all of the Skagit Valley, from the San Juan Islands to the Cascade Mountains. Even with all the little enclave of buildings, The Purple Cottage retains a private feel all to itself, with reliable Wi-Fi available at the cottage. . It is located in a quiet little neighborhood, about 6 miles from Langley & 6 miles from Freeland.. Private beach access is across the road and a 15 minute walk up the street, where you can beach comb & explore the shoreline out at our little point. Main camp site is the “upper field” where there is room for parking and power/water connections. This is conveniently level with the main road and flat. There is “lower field” that is a trimmed grass field right corner next to the driveway, Finally the “back field” is large, grass field and a fire ring across the northern half of the property. The back field has an unused septic system underground, so we leave the grass and vegetation longer here to attract wildlife and preserve the infrastructure for potential future use. No vehicles allowed in back field. In the middle of the property is a grove of pine and cedar trees with thick, native salal bushes and rhododendrons crisscrossed with paths created by humans and the local deer population. Driveway is shared by neighboring property so wave and smile if our neighbors walk or drive out to the main road, and please be respectful of their property line and follow the local culture of 'live and let live'.

The spacious Group Camp overlooks the beautiful Skagit River and is located on five riverfront acres adjacent to our family farm of 43 years. In addition to the Group Camp, there are just 3 single campsites on this property. Get ready to watch Canadian geese fly overhead, dip your toes in the warm sand and experience Peace Like a River. Take a walk along miles of dike, launch your kayak in the river, cast your line and fish the glacial river waters, or just soak up the tranquil beauty. The Group Camp features a huge central wood fire pit with cooking grill, and 7 adirondack chairs/2 side tables that overlook the river. The large custom outdoor kitchen (cold water) is perfect for meal prep and easy clean up. There is also a 3 burner propane stove (propane provided) . Two-8' picnic tables and a 3' X 4' serving/buffet table give plenty of seating for meals. Just minutes away you can walk to the river on a private trail. During the summer months there is typically a long sandbar. You will find stunning views in every direction with partial shade under towering cottonwoods. For safety purposes, a camp fire is allowed only in the provided fire pit. This site has space for 2 recreational vehicles (20' or less) or up to 3 tents. Current COVID restrictions apply for group size/composition. Our family has great respect for the beauty and power of the river. Care for safety must be taken on the river edges as they are steep in places, the glacial water is very cold, and it has a strong tidal current and hidden undertows. Life jackets are strongly recommended for any activities on the water and we discourage swimming. We are located just 65 miles north of Seattle and minutes from I-5. This is your landing spot to explore all of the Skagit Valley, from the San Juan Islands to the Cascade Mountains. The *Purple Cottage* -- was found & salvaged (recycled!)-- moved onto the back of my property in 2012. This 16 X 12' place has been my studio in the past, but has offered overflow for friends & ; family. Nestled in the woods and ever-so-private, the cottage has a pull-out double futon, plus a small sleeping loft and can accommodate 1 -2 nicely (we will consider 3 if you have a small child, but it would be a tight fit!... There is a very small sleeping loft in the cottage.). There is a “en suite kitchen in the cottage that has a small fridge, microwave, and two burner stovetop cooking unit. The cottage offers privacy in a wooded garden setting. The bathhouse, with hot shower, vanity and; toilet --are all steps away (and covered) from the main cabin. The Purple Cottage sits on a shy wooded acre, with greenbelt buffers all around, maximizing the sense of privacy. our vintage Shasta Trailer across the driveway of the Purple Cottage is currently used as a music studio (and rarely as family/guest overflow), and I have my own small Artist Studio located also on the back of the property. Even with all the little enclave of buildings, The Purple Cottage retains a private feel all to itself, with reliable Wi-Fi available at the cottage. . It is located in a quiet little neighborhood, about 6 miles from Langley & 6 miles from Freeland.. Private beach access is across the road and a 15 minute walk up the street, where you can beach comb & explore the shoreline out at our little point. The private deck off the side of the Purple Cottage offers views of the gardens & flora, and has a little gas barbecue. There is also a delightful hot tub on the deck, which is a wonderful feature. An outdoor kitchen on the edge of the woods allows a roomier “camp cooking” experience with Colman stove & cold running water (season permitting). We are located 6 miles from the picturesque town of Langley and equal distance from Freeland, on the south end of Whidbey. Our area is very *bike-able* and either direction will get you to town! The Purple Cottage offers a rustic retreat in a place that feels far away, but is an hour & a half from the bustling city of Seattle!

This forest meadow is a peaceful, private spot to rest and relax when you are not having adventures on the Olympic Peninsula. Perfect for RVs, Camper Trailers, Vans, and Tents! The entire property is rented as a single camp site, so there is maximum privacy and solitude compared to a multi-site venue like Ft Worden State Park. Green Acre Camp is located in a semi-residential, semi-rural area of unincorporated Port Townsend, only 10-15 min drive to main restaurants, grocery stores, and attractions of downtown Port Townsend. RV power pedestal with 30a, 50a, and standard 20a/120v plugs. Pack-in, Pack-out; there is no toilet, sink, or shower. Large vehicles/trailers/5th wheels are welcome! Enter the property on private dirt road connected to Hastings Ave and you may park anywhere in the upper field immediately on left when you enter the driveway. There is a locked shed that houses the well pump, and you can use the water spigot and hose. Water is potable lab tested. Property is shaped like a triangle with Hastings Ave. There is tree cover along Hastings and shared driveway at bottom edge of the triangle. As you continue down the driveway a few hundred yards, you approach neighbor's fence and property line. Main camp site is the “upper field” where there is room for parking and power/water connections. This is conveniently level with the main road and flat. There is “lower field” that is a trimmed grass field right corner next to the driveway, Finally the “back field” is large, grass field and a fire ring across the northern half of the property. The back field has an unused septic system underground, so we leave the grass and vegetation longer here to attract wildlife and preserve the infrastructure for potential future use. No vehicles allowed in back field. In the middle of the property is a grove of pine and cedar trees with thick, native salal bushes and rhododendrons crisscrossed with paths created by humans and the local deer population. Driveway is shared by neighboring property so wave and smile if our neighbors walk or drive out to the main road, and please be respectful of their property line and follow the local culture of 'live and let live'.

We had such a lovely time on Jacob’s property. It felt remote and private, while being a short drive into town. Our pup was a little too interested in the farm animals so we did keep her on leash, but she had a great time sniffing around on a long lead. Jacob was so friendly, checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. Would highly recommend for an upgraded camping experience.

Great area and a wonderful host. Met us during a rain storm as we parked our trailer and assist through out. Much appreciated. We have a 17’ trailer which fit just fine but anything above that would be a bit tight. Would recommend driving around property vice backing down the drive. Very nice spot and super quiet. Site was convenient to so many great attractions that it is a perfect base camp or just to relax and chill. Would recommend for sure.

I loved staying at the bungalow! It was the perfect rainy PNW weekend. The property is beautiful and quiet, the cows and pigs were adorable! Very close to the beach and the view of the lake waa amazing. So many more amenities than I was expecting and if it was sunnier I would have taken advantage :) The bungalow was very clean and had everything I needed for the night. I hope to return in the summer!

My wife and I had such a relaxing time at the bamboo cabin. Listening to the rain beat on the roof while bird song filled the air was just what we needed. The bed was so comfy, and location is a short drive to La Conner for cute shops and restaurants. This Hipcamp was great for letting my dog off leash, or for spreading out with a larger group if you have one. The Highland cows were honestly the highlight of the experience and I'm pretty sure Moo-tilda and I are best friends now. The cabin itself was clean and tidy and the hosts friendly. The view from the cabin was lovely. Easy walking distance to the beach - just beware of locals with their off-leash dogs. Not all are friendly.

Ena's campsite was lovely! Several spaces with privacy equal to or greater than state/national parks. Not every site had a campfire ring but there was only one other group there so we were able to use another site's fire pit. The toilet was really nice, indoors, lots of room, and a handwashing sink!
