Over two acres of field grass surrounding by rolling hills with views of farms, cows, horses, and the eastern foothills of the Cascade mountains. There is a 1/2 acre pond on the camp property with frogs, turtles, wild birds and wild ducks and geese drop in all the time. Very quiet and peaceful out here, the frogs will sing you to sleep and that's about the only sound you will hear. There is power and water hooks up at 2 of 3 camp sites. Our farm is located in the center of the Yakima Valley in Southeastern Washington State. The physical address is 3510 Scoon Road Sunnyside, Washington. The Valley is known as the fruit bowl of the nation. The site is located on a farm that has been in production on the Roza slope 4 miles north of Sunnyside since 1945. Surrounded by fields of peppermint, Concord grapes, and a variety of crops within walking distance it is a fertile paradise. The Yakima Valley has thousands of acres of wine grapes, hops, apples, cherries, pears, peaches, and vegetables. Wineries are located up and down the Valley and people drive 100s of miles to do wine tours. Learn more about this land: PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING We have a small area in our Alpaca pasture designated for campers. We are a short drive (2miles) to down town Hermiston. Our ranch has been here since the 1940's and has decreased in size since its days as a potato farm. The Alpacas are shy but curious. They are not dangerous but do not like dogs 🐕‍🦺 and other small animals. (Please keep pets on a leash) We remove the Alpacas and mow the camping areas but please keep in mind that this is a pasture that is used when campers are not present. Please be prepared. This is a working ranch and there will be animals🦙 , bugs🐜 , and poop💩 in the pasture. River Front Park on the Umatilla River is within walking distance and the Columbia River is a short drive. In the summer we have several farms in the area with fresh produce for sale and Blueberry picking just down the road. You won't want to leave town without picking up a world famous Hermiston Watermelon! Come stay with us "Where Life is Sweet!"

We loved camping on their land. It was very peaceful and cozy. No other campers, just us. We appreciated how most of the yard was fenced. Having well behaved dogs, we didnt have to tether them. The owners were very kind and easy to work with. Even left us some fresh corn from their garden. We stayed here for the annual Hot Air Balloon Festival in Prosser. Location was perfect. Lots to do in the area too. We will be back! Thank you!!

Paulette was an incredible host, introducing us to kittens on the farm that my daughter adored, allowing us to pick some produce, and providing light to set-up the tent as we checked in late. This spot comes highly recommended for RV and tent campers, and especially stands out as a fun place to camp with young children.

Paulette was so warm and welcoming. Her property has lots of animals including a red fox we saw after dark. The views are stunning. It’s also a short drive to the Goldendale Observatory, making it a short trip home after the nighttime presentation.

We would definitely come back and stay at least 2 nights to explore the town and nearby wineries more. There’s a lot of Mexican and texmex food less than 10 minutes which we were excited about. The camping spot was beautiful, having full hookups and sewage dump made for a very comfortable experience. Our dogs enjoyed laying in the grassy shade. Rick stopped by to say hi and gave us some food recommendations which we appreciated. We highly recommend this spot for both passing through or an extended visit.

Rick's camp was very inviting and they were great hosts. We rolled in with transmission issues in our truck and had to have it towed home but they were both very calming to us. Such a lovely place to stop. The alpacas and pigs are so cute and friendly! Great hosts! Definitely looking forward to coming through this area and staying again. (For those that might be sensitive to noise, it is located between two busy streets. For us, that was no big deal as it was more like white noise.)

Quiet, secure, near to town, and very pleasant spot to spend the night or a few. Level gravel parking area with grass for tents and nice picnic table with garbage can and electricity and water. Beautiful views of the valley and mountains in the distance along with Vineyards everywhere. Apparently someone had once complained about the smell of cow manure but that is occasional and only one farmers are spreading it which is twice a year for one week. I smelled nothing but green grass and fresh air!

It was a beautiful Ranch! Gorgeous views. Paulette was very accommodating. Unfortunately for us though, the wind was high and we were tent camping so the weather wasn't great. Definitely recommend if you have a comfy place to sleep. Pricing is a bit high in our opinion. But if you can afford it, definitely go! Gorgeous place, fun to see the animals. Especially the peacock 🦚 😄
