Tent Camping We have an acre of land with an orchard, grapes, blueberries, raspberries, tons of flowers and peace and quiet except for some traffic on Veazie Cumberland Rd. There is a tree farm across the street from the campsite and a blueberry farm across Veazie. Picking time for blueberries is end of July into August. Deep lake is four miles from our house as well as Kanaskit State Park with a river. Mt Rainier is about 45 minutes away. Mt Peak, 1000 ft hike, is 4 miles toward Enumclaw from us.

The town center is anchored by three parks filled with giant maples and evergreens. You will be awed by the view of Mt. Rainier from Washington Avenue.
The levees on the east and west sides of town are perfect for hikes along the rivers. The 20 mile Foothills Trail meanders right through the middle of town and then takes you along the Carbon River levee. Bike, walk, take the stroller and the family pet. Enjoy the turn-of-the-century architecture of downtown and eat at one of the 15 restaurants.
If your timing is right you can take part in the Daffodil festival and parade the first Saturday of April. The Kingsmen Car show comes to town the third Saturday in June. Then there is the Pumpkin festival the second weekend of October. Finally the year is capped off with the Christmas festival throughout December. Then there are the many foot and bike races that take place on the foothills trail throughout the year.

Seems like it would be a lovely place to stay in the winter, so thats when I'd like to come back! 5 stars all the way for everything here, the thoughtfulness of the cabins, the cleanliness, the readily available kitchen and the hospitality. The town center is anchored by three parks filled with giant maples and evergreens. You will be awed by the view of Mt. Rainier from Washington Avenue.
The levees on the east and west sides of town are perfect for hikes along the rivers. The 20 mile Foothills Trail meanders right through the middle of town and then takes you along the Carbon River levee. Bike, walk, take the stroller and the family pet. Enjoy the turn-of-the-century architecture of downtown and eat at one of the 15 restaurants.
If your timing is right you can take part in the Daffodil festival and parade the first Saturday of April. The Kingsmen Car show comes to town the third Saturday in June. Then there is the Pumpkin festival the second weekend of October. Finally the year is capped off with the Christmas festival throughout December. Then there are the many foot and bike races that take place on the foothills trail throughout the year.

Seems like it would be a lovely place to stay in the winter, so thats when I'd like to come back! 5 stars all the way for everything here, the thoughtfulness of the cabins, the cleanliness, the readily available kitchen and the hospitality. As a solo female RVer, I’m always looking for a safe spot to park and this private land tucked back in the woods was perfect for a three day stay on Whidbey. The bonus access to a kitchen, indoor bathroom and shower was great! Ryan, the host when I was there, was very friendly and helpful. And having the house lights on when I arrived (much later than I planned and after dark!) was most helpful to be able to quickly get the RV settled for the first night. I couldn’t quite find a level spot, but had I spent a bit more time and worked with my tire blocks I’m sure I could have figured it out. The turnaround was tight but doable with a 19 ft trailer and a 15 ft SUV but some longer rigs might have to do some fancy turns to get out. Overall, great value! Thanks for hosting on Hipcamp!

Such a great place for family fun! The very friendly ducks delighted the kids. Got to meet the host and he was very friendly and accommodating! So many trails we didnt get to explore, too busy on the boats in the lake and fishing. Very much recommend!!

My husband and I liked this place so much we added another night (which Mimi was so quick to help out with as the calendar on the Hipcamp app wasn’t showing availability). She messaged back quickly and was very accommodating. The space was nice, well kept and quiet. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks, Mimi!

I stayed one night at Flamingo Ridge to organize my gear and prep for future car camping trips—and it was just what I needed. As an older woman traveling solo, I appreciated the quiet woods and the sense of safety and welcome.
Ryan, my host, was incredibly helpful. The parking area was a bit uneven for my car “Sparky,” but he patiently helped me find the best spot. I was also greeted by Wendy and Peter—two exuberant German poodle puppies who added a delightful touch of joy to the experience.
There’s a communal kitchen and bathroom, both clean and functional, with clear rules and information posted near the entrance. It’s not fancy, but it’s well thought out and has everything you need for a comfortable stay.
If you’re looking for a peaceful place to reset, test your gear, or just enjoy the forest (with a few tail wags thrown in), Flamingo Ridge is a great choice. I left feeling more prepared and more relaxed than when I arrived.

Provided a clean out house and having water at the campsite was so helpful!
It was a beautiful view from the blast as well. Tom was communicative and helpful and we really enjoyed our stay! Highly recommend!

Great option for a group all staying together at the 4 campsites. Running potable water nearby for drinking and dishes, a bathroom on the nearside of the street, and across the street is the hood canal with free paddleboards and kayaks to use!

We had such a great time at Tahuya Marina and Resort! The bathrooms and showers were super clean, and it was nice having easy access to drinking water. Even with a burn ban, the marina had a perfect little spot for s’mores, which our kids loved. The campground made it easy to get to the dock and the general store, so everything we needed was right there. We’ll definitely be back!

Marvin was a great host and made us feel very welcome. We loved the peaceful sounds of the river and getting the chance to do some fishing. While we weren't able to catch anything this time, we had a blast and will be back again!

Mimi’s property was perfect! It was easy to find but privately tucked away. The grounds were really well kept, the hiking trail was a nice size and marked. Mimi was easy to communicate with and responded quickly!

Annette is so lovely and the perfect host! The views are gorgeous and location ideal, close enough to town but still a country feel. I would absolutely come back next time I am in the area. Definitely on the glamping side with a full kitchen and very nice bathroom.
