Weekend Trip to Elfendahl Forest

This is the best hipcamp I've ever been to. It was so quiet, the camper was extremely cozy and well stocked, and the spot was very private. The off grid hot tub was unique and well worth the extra fee! The whole campground is a very fun and creative space and you can really tell how much love and care Gary and crew have put into this place. I'll be back for summer camping!

2 nights at Elfendahl Forest

Gary was so attentive and welcoming! Even though I came during a rainy time, the land was beautiful and whimsical. The staff there were all so accommodating and helped with anything I needed (firewood, the hot tub, heaters). The community kitchen was sooo much fun to use and the shower was amazing! It was fun to walk around and see the bunnies and chickens as well as see how hard the staff work to create more fun amenities for the future. Gary mills the wood himself and you can see how all of the structures are such a labor of love!

Gary and friends thought of everything. Fun for the whole family. From the glowing rock paintings, the chickens and fresh eggs, bunnies, beautiful garden, the color and whimsy - It was absolutely perfect. The girls were able to run around the magical forest, dressed like fairies, homemade crowns and all. TJ was a volunteer at the time and he truly made the entire stay such a fun experience. He was helpful, kind, fun and truly just an amazing person. We can’t wait to visit again.

The set up was really cute! I loved how many different options there were depending on what type of adventure you want. We stayed in a suite with a kitchenette. It had a little bit of everything and was perfect for our stay. My only complaint would be that I wish the water in the shower was warmer. The place had good heaters though so that made up for it. Otherwise it was a great place and I can't wait to stay here again.

Loved camping here so much that I reserved the Lotus tent to take a friend. Very spacious and comfortable with a cozy bed. I brought a couple Rumpl blankets as rain was forecast so it got colder out than is has been. Slept wonderfully. Nice composting toilet and kitchen area along with a propane fire pit and plenty of chairs. Everything we needed. Gary and staff were always happy to accommodate requests for anything we needed. Walked the loop trail up by the garden. Enjoyed finding mushrooms, gnomes and seashells in the woods. Just a great, relaxing weekend.

Our young twin boys absolutely loved the tiny house and the big sandbox at the center of the park, while our pup was welcomed with ease—truly a dog-friendly spot. The beach is just a short walk away and was absolutely lovely. We went in thinking it might be a little nicer, but considering it’s a campground with lots of sand, it turned out to be really great and just what we needed. The resort’s location also worked perfectly for us: close to Ocean Shores, and just a bit further to the beautiful Lake Quinault. Having the Green Lantern Pub and a grocery mart nearby made things extra convenient. All in all, it was the perfect weekend escape for our whole family. Highly recommend!

We loved our stay on Gary’s land. Our hosts made it very easy to just bring the food that we wanted to eat, blankets to keep warm at night, and towels should we want to use their beautiful shower. Everything else was provided. It’s a charming little spot, deep in the trees. Our dog loved being off leash and making new friends. Everyone there was so friendly. The landscape was whimsical and charming. This was exactly the little adventure we needed.

3 nights at The Glen - Olympic Peninsula RV

We stayed in the Coho Cabins - what a luxury! Clean, upgraded, with every amenity you could think of, including a Nespresso. The park itself felt safe, with a nice spa-like hot tub with water views, great staff, and even games in the community area. Walk across the street to a deck with stunning views (you might even catch a glimpse of a seal) and a fairly quiet beach area. I spent many relaxing mornings on that deck. Only complaint is that the photos of the views from within the cabin are inaccurate - the cabins are stacked right next to each other, so there is no mountain or water view as advertised (just trees or the other cabins). Otherwise, such a nice experience.

Absolutely wonderful experience. The location is great, at the grounds are gorgeous. There are a lot of fun. Interesting things to see along walks, and the staff couldn't be more welcomed. Absolutely loved it, and we'll do it again.
