Heavily wooded with big trees and really private and quiet. 120/240 Power. Modern outhouse with flush toilet & sink. 1 gal jugs of Free Portable water.
River fish include Rainbow Trout, Cutthroat Trout, Steelhead, Salmon, Chinook, Coho, and Sockeye, & Dolly Varden.

-The small town has just about all the basic needs and a ACE Hardware store, Market, Drug store, and Museum. all within 1-2 blocks. Sweet. Enjoy...!!!

* I suggest you use the far side of the road and, line your rig up to my driveway when you go in and out of the gate and be mindful of Trailer rear end swing when going through the gate.
* Your RV spot is in front of the vacant 5th wheel. If you need help log in to my WiFi and call me, I’m very experienced and can help direct you from my Ring security camera.
* RV's: Contact me if you need portable or non portable water which may or not be available depending on water supplies.
Feel free to use anything in the yard, porch deck, Chairs and Toilet in Bunk House... including games and things at the rear of the 5th wheel.
Fire Ban is usually on during the Summer, but small camp cooking fires are still allowed. DO NOT leave fire unattended.

Our land is kid friendly. We ask that kids (and adults) refrain from harming any trees or vegetation. We encourage aww of the natural environment! Our resident owl might even visit your camp fire!
Our land is dog friendly. We ask that your dog remain on a leash and that you bag and trash your poo at all spots visited in the great wild olympics! Our property is not fenced and we are on a road corner.
We have a 16' aluminum Canoe for rent with lifejackets and paddles. We love paddling on Lake Sutherland or Crescent Lake! Both of these spots are about a 20 minutes drive from our place (Canoe rental is $50/day)

The Gem is a beautiful tiny home in a cozy setting in the woods. It has a semi private drive. Hiking trails through the woods, with a glimpse of Church mountain out the door and just a jaunt to Cornell creek. Bodigers bond across the street and the Mt. Baker/Snoqualamie national forest right out your front door. It's a 1/4 mile from Glacier, Wa and 17 miles from the Mt. Baker ski area. Please note, this cabin accommodates 3 people. I will allow 5 but there is not beds for 5 people. 2 people are welcome to sleep in a tent under the poll barn. There is an additional charge for the 2 extra people. We don't allow dogs in the Gem at this time. Feel free to check out our other cabins on the same property. The Nook and The LTC both allow dogs.

Guests have full access to the entire loft, the private entrance, and the garden courtyard with bistro lights and an outdoor dining table. The loft is located on the upper level and accessed via a set of exterior stairs. Free street parking is available right out front on Peabody Street or just behind the property by the back gate.

We definitely recommend bringing your own foldable cooking table if you plan on cooking your own meals outside as there isn’t much flat ground around the cabin to cook on. We really enjoyed our stay! The cabin was very cozy and we appreciated having access to hot water, shower, toilet, and complete kitchen - pots/pans, plates, bowls, silverware, stovetop, fridge, toaster oven, and oils/seasonings. The Host, Tyson, was very welcoming and answered any questions we had. It was only about a 10 -15 minute drive to Port Angeles and entrance to the National Park which made it really convenient. This trip will always hold a special place in our hearts - we got engaged! Thanks for a great stay.

Perfect mother daughter getaway. The smell of cedar, the little lights in all the right places, the hand sewn quilts, the handmade afghans, the water, the cooler, the moss covered paths. We enjoyed meeting Michele, Samson and Bear. Hikes in the morning in Mount Parke trails next door, evening meal at the Mayne Local restaurant. Exceeded expectations.

This place was a great find! My daughter and I were so happy with our stay here. Everything was very clean when we arrived. The little kitchenette was perfect for our needs, and we enjoyed several simple meals. The bathroom is tiny but completely functional. There is only about 4-5 minutes of hot water for showering, but that’s enough if you know about it ahead. The location is terrific, close to beautiful trails and a slightly longer drive to Mt Baker. The host provided great instructions—definitely screenshot them as she suggests because there is no cell phone service in the area. We couldn’t figure out the animal-proof trashcan, unfortunately, felt bad about that because we had to rush out to make our boat on the last day. This place had everything we needed, and we’d love to visit again!

Tips for snagging a campsite
- You can reserve all of the park’s 172 tent sites, 134 partial-hookup sites, and five hiker/biker sites online.
- Deception Pass is a popular state park. Reservations should be made in advance, especially for summer weekends. All campsites can be reserved online, up to nine months in advance of the arrival date.
- The Ben Ure Cabin on Ben Ure Island is accessible only by kayak or rowboat, and guests must bring their own water.
When to go
Deception Pass State Park is open year-round. In the Coastal Northwest’s relatively mild climate, there’s never a bad time to visit. Summers, especially on weekends and holidays, are very busy here. But come in the shoulder season—in the spring or early summer, before July 4—or early fall, after Memorial Day, and you’re more likely to find seclusion. Weekdays are generally a better bet, too.
Know before you go
- You can rent kayaks and stand-up paddleboards at the Bowman Bay concession stand from April through September.
- Visitors will need to display a day-use or annual Discover Pass. The park has automated pay stations dispensing both, along with boat launch permits.
- The park has 1.2 miles of ADA hiking trails, in addition to three miles of bike trails, six miles of horse trails, and 38 miles of hiking trails.
