Beautiful view of the mountains and forests here in western Washington. We are close to Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Rainier and several lakes. There are walking trails all around the site. The 12 acre campground is located on a 136 acre property that is an active Christmas tree farm. Trails continue throughout the tree farm. Many trails have a view of the Tilton River, which can be reached via a challenging 3/4 mile trail. Sites are on 10 acres planted with many different species of trees that are about 30 years old. Giant Redwoods, Cedars, and Maples are just a few of the varieties present. Part of the farm is still a working Christmas tree farm. The trails are wide and grassy. The old logging road that we use as a trail to the river has an elevation change of about 500 feet, the trail can be quite challenging. Bear Creek empties into the Tilton river at the end of the trail. There is an ART GALLERY where you can learn to pound flowers, see the host's artwork and get a cup of coffee! The campsite came with chairs, a picnic table and a fire pit. They had wood for sale and buckets for putting out the fire as well. The outhouse was clean and they had a spigot with well water nearby. Fern gully was so cute. I would definitely come back. I did peak at the other sites too and sun-kissed meadow was just so beautiful. Highly recommend.

Weekend Trip to Dragons Gate Gardens & Wilds

The land is 126.5 acres of quiet bliss. None of our noisy WiFi/5G distractions. Just peace and quiet. The ground is relatively flat, making tent and car camping easier, and our site had a fire pit like many of them do. There is a charming outhouse with nighttime twinkle lights, and for garbage, you pack out every last thread and bottle cap of what you brought in. Children and adults (me!) love to watch the friendly cows near the entrance, then you will be guided to your site by one of the two caretakers, who later gifted us some of these unusual and delicious round cucumbers from their garden. Soo good. How kind of them. DGG is a unique place to find your space, and it’s also the perfect setup for large gatherings of hundreds of people.

Very cute and calm spot for camping. The campsites are very far apart so you have lots of privacy. We had a well maintained gravel area with a fire pit, a bench and chairs, and even fire wood and tools to set up the fire. We lived the fast that our dogs could be off leash! When you arrive at the farm, drive to the grey container and there’s a map with the campsite numbers there. The porter potty was full, but I guess it’s due to the long Labor Day weekend.

Weekend Trip to Salmon Berry Meadows

We enjoyed this sweet, quiet, treed little spot. There was a bit of daytime street noise but nothing continuous or extremely loud. The nights were very peaceful. Linda is very friendly. There was a trash can, recycle bin, and bucket of water at the sight. We have a 21ft travel trailer. Backing skills a must, and a spotter recommended as the path back to sight is narrow and has a bit of a curve to it. Perfect spot to overnight after enjoying the nearby lakes, swimming hole, and State Park.

Weekend Trip to The Arboretum at Bear Canyon West

The campsite was amazing! There were two sites nearby but it still felt very quiet and private. The whole land is very large and my dog had a blast playing within the fenced dog yard. The river trail was also fun to hike. A little cold to swim but my dog had no complaints wading. We also bought amazing honey from their local bee farm. The only things we had complaints about was not about what they could control: our neighbors had their dogs off-leash and one of their dogs pooped near our site, and the gunshots that could be heard pretty close by spooked our dog. But overall highly recommend!

Camped here in our tent trailer. The Shady Grove spot was nice and fairly private from the other areas. They have their campground well laid out and kept nice. Grass is green and well kept in each site.

We love camping here so peaceful, private and relaxing ! Terry and Barb are great people and host they make you feel welcomed and make sure your stay is everything you wanted. The coyote cabin site is great for a group or just a family . Cabin is a wonderful added feature to hang out in or have family sleep in . Make sure to stop in and see Barbs art it is beautiful and get a thing of the honey so delicious.

Weekend Trip to Mountain Lavender Escape

I really enjoyed camping here. The campsites were large and spread out enough that you definitely felt like you had your own space. My dogs and I enjoyed the trail around the property every morning and I loved the mountain views! I didn’t have a campfire, but there is a very nice fire pit and the wood is easily accessible. I appreciated the shower after my dusty hikes!!

Weekend Trip to Dragons Gate Gardens & Wilds

We really loved camping here! It's our second time here and the only thing I regret that we didn't discover this place earlier. Fairy Queen and Red Dragon are amazing people! They were so kind to show us around their property and let my daughter to play with their bunnies and see baby cow :) They also offered us some veggies from their garden, it was really sweet and nice gesture! My daughter loves both Fairy Queen and Red Dragon so much and she gets really upset when we have to go home. The campsite itself is very well maintained and kind of secluded which gives you privacy and opportunity to enjoy the nature without other people around. You can purchase a huge bin of wood for just $20 which is amazing deal! No doubts it's our favorite campground and we can't wait to come back here! We love it! Thank you Fairy Queen and Red Dragon for such an amazing weekend! 💞

Weekend Trip to Dragons Gate Gardens & Wilds

It’s our 2nd time there and I’m sure we’ll go again. The sites are separate enough for privacy. The property is large so we had some nice walks. The river is close which is beautiful and we went fishing. The host is warm and welcoming.
