9.68 acres of beautiful overgrown rock quarry. Explore boulders, a year round creek and waterfall under a thick forest.The property climbs 100 ft offering many trails to hike and much to discover. Being an out of commission rock quarry since probably the 70s, much of the roads have turned to grass offering a lot of space to play. Around 10 minutes off i5 and you’d never know it. Many have remarked just how quiet it is. Featuring a ~30 ft water fall, rock formations, A year round creek that runs the length of the entire property. Enter the gate down and over the creek up and into the quarry overtaken by lichens, moss and mushrooms. a vast network of old mining roads then switchback up the ridge to a view of the valley. Whether you come to hike and explore or just soak in the scenery with a light peaceful walk, this land is a gem.10 acre all private site: A 500 foot drive down in and over the creek, 200 feet to a pad with an entrance to the quarry. The creek can be seen from the main site, the waterfall from the quarry. Campers can set up where ever they like, exploration encouraged. Compost outhouse to do your business. Or the shovel. Raw land (no modern amenities) This is a one site camp ground. We like the private camp experience, so that’s what we’re offering. NOTICE: being a rock quarry, it is advised that children be supervised and anyone be cautious and take notice of the terrain. There are beautiful cliffs and large rocks.

Relaxing Amongst the Rocks

My partner and I absolutely loved the time we spent at this site. Jeremy (our host) was there to greet us on day 1 to show us the lay of the land. Jeremy's enthusiasm while showing us around let us know he was truly sharing something special. We had our choice of 3 fire pits and multiple places to pitch our tent. We chose to set up by the middle fire pit and use "the pit" fire pit.( Located in a cozy crater) Very close by our tent was a waterfall that provided the perfect soundtrack for our whole stay. I was shocked at how well we both slept. It was easy to get lost looking at all the large rock formations, moss, lichen, and trees around us. It was simply magical. Thanks Jeremy!

Pit Fall Campgrounds was the perfect getaway for me, my two dogs, and friend. You can hear some road noise, but it’s not too distracting. We all left feeling refreshed after our stay, and Jeremy was very welcoming and easy to talk to.

Second time, whole fam + dogs

Came back with the whole family, dogs included for a second weekend of fun and adventure before school starts. Our kids range from 4 to 12 and they all had a great time exploring and creating. The dogs had just as much fun and are more tired than I’ve ever seen them. Such an awesome place to camp out!

We had a great experience camping at this property. Awesome exploring, secluded and close enough to run to a town if needed. We would camp again and bring the whole family.

Couldn't make it but Jeremy rocks!

My partner and I fell in love with all the gorgeous pictures of the site and surroundings. A couple days after booking we unfortunately got sick! But Jeremy was so awesome and understanding when our plans changed unexpectedly. As soon as we are well and able, we will be booking with Jeremy. Can't wait to get out there when we do.

Jeremy’s place was really nice as an escape for the weekend. We set up our cooking and the main hangout inside the quarry and had our tents outside. It worked really well. The 5 kids we had with us had so many things to explore including: finding a Moon Fairy house, a Slug Kingdom, multiple deer and rodent skulls, catching crayfish, climbing rocks, creek wading, building fairy houses, searching (and finding) a pair of owls, picking blackberries and pink huckleberries. It is a rustic site - and that’s exactly what we wanted. Can’t wait to go back.

Amazing and beautiful place

It was amazing camping on Jeremy’s land. Really beautiful area and very peaceful. We were able to have our vehicles parked right next to where we placed the tents for power. Jeremy met us when we arrived and walked us around his 9+ acres of land showed us some hiking trails. He was such a sweet host and very thoughtful. We had the whole area to ourselves. We loved it so much we plan on visiting again soon.
