Water, electricity, and WIFI are available in the shared kitchen, garden, cafe, and lounging areas. Please bring battery-operated lights, bedding, and a pillow, unless otherwise noted.

Fern Gully is a perfect spot for group camping, off in the back of the property offered much privacy! Beautiful grounds and very serene! Many trails and the lake had many Bass, but too small this year to keep. Highly recommend!

Beautiful, stunning property with lots of plants and flowers and animals. The host was very welcoming and gave us a good tour of the property, which included a kitchen, outdoor shower, and library. The only con was that there are no toilets available, and the portapotties were overdue for service (not by fault of the host).
The cotton cabin itself was great, in a secluded area by a fire pit and beautiful mossy forest. The beds were decent, but keep in mind that the host does not recommend larger people on the top bunks. It would be perfect for a group of younger travellers.
Overall, highly recommend for people who are interested in permaculture, herbs, wool, etc, this land looks well cared for :)

Really lovely spot! Cozy setup, good directions, great communication from the host when I had questions. So nice to have a real bed while camping! If you’re a light sleeper, there’s a rooster and dogs nearby and the bullfrogs get some good volume too! 😆 We played white noise on my phone to help but there is no electricity at the site so you’ll want to bring a portable charger of some sort if you need it. Excellent stay overall! Loved paddling around the little pond!

We had an amazing stay at Compass Rose Farms. Absolutely stunning farm with a menagerie of friendly animals, beautiful grounds and uniquely tasteful amenities (like the tea house and foot soak). Kateen is a great host. Very prompt and clear communication and an extremely helpful tour of the place when we arrived.

This is a very pleasant place to rest. It is a working farm with many developed common areas that are shared with other campers and less developed sleeping spaces that are private. We thoroughly enjoyed every part of the visit and would especially recommend the pick berries and salad options.

Great place to go glamping with a group of friends . Close to town, good amenities, good hike, waterfront and great hosts. Highly recommend going in with a group because the two tent sites are fairly close to each other . We went with family and friends and had a blast.

Kateen is a wonderful and friendly host, the site is lovely with places to wander or rest. Even when almost every site was occupied, everyone was a polite neighbor and respected quiet hours. Highlights for me was walking the labyrinth and making my own blend of homegrown herbs into a goodnight drink. My 4 year old loved visiting the sheep, wandering the garden and petting the friendly free roaming turkeys. My husband loved talking to a couple that became friends.
A note to potential guests, the turkeys have no fear of people and will invade your personal space. My daughter loved this, but it made outdoor meal times interesting. The geese and ducks are more standoffish lol.
One other note: free roaming fowl, means you will step in poop, and makes the rule of no shoes inside most buildings a necessity. If you're going to be cooking in the kitchen, you're going to want shoes that go on and off easily (I'd recommend garden clogs or similar).

Weekend Trip to The Landing At Lake Ploenta
We stayed overnight at this glamping site booked through Hipcamp, and it was the perfect escape. The roomy structured tent on a raised platform was cozy and comfortable, with thoughtful amenities like a portable restroom (complete with sink and lighting), a grill, fireplace, and even firewood provided. The lake is less than 50 feet from the tent and full of fish — a great bonus for relaxing or casting a line. It’s just 20 minutes outside of town, pet-friendly, and the hosts were incredibly welcoming. Highly recommend for a peaceful couples getaway ✨️

We had a really wonderful stay here! The tent, linens, and bed were all very comfortable and clean. The site is at a corner of the property that feels private and quiet, plus it's right next to one of the trails. It was lovely walking the property and through the well marked trails in the woods, and the host was so friendly when we crossed paths. We definitely want to come back!
