Weekend Trip to Forest Echo Cabins
Cabin was private, cozy, and had everything we needed! Scott & Rose made everything super easy and welcoming. A hot bath in the morning followed by canoeing on Tiny Pond, a drive out to Woodstock, and stargazing in the meadow at night was an unbeatable experience. We had a lovely camping trip! Couldn’t recommend more.

4 nights at Forest Echo Cabins
Our second time here and once again we had the BEST time! It is so peaceful and quiet. The cabin is stocked with everything you need and way more. We loved the bathroom remodel. We went during a drought but was provided with plenty of water to use (we also brought our own for backup) we loved sitting in front of the fireplace at night reading and doing puzzles. We enjoyed nights around the campfire and cooking dinner. The bed is very comfortable and the brown couch is perfect for naps. Being October we didn’t sleep on the porch bed but I can imagine how nice it is in the summer. Porch swing view sunrise is beautiful. Love taking a walk down to tiny pond and enjoy the use of the kayaks. Can’t wait to come back next year and bring our kids to experience this beautiful place. Scott and Rose are so welcoming and there for anything if needed. Thank you for this amazing place!

We had a wonderful long weekend at Ripley Hill Cabin. The property and surrounding areas are beautiful. The caretaker we met, Scott, was helpful and informative on what the area has to offer for hiking, swimming, and fishing. The cabin is private, peaceful, with great star gazing at night. The cabin is large, with plenty of space to not be on top of each other with a large group. It was clean and very well stocked. We can't wait to come back next year!

Absolutely loved our stay here. Peaceful, well stocked, Rose and Scott were very helpful and welcoming. Couldn't have asked for a better place for our vacation. My dog Olive especially loved her stay.

We had a great time during our second family trip to Forest Echo. We enjoyed playing at the farm pond and watching the wildlife (including two beavers). The stars were beautiful and we had nice nights by the fire pit.

5 nights at Laughing Bear Cottages - Squam Lake
I stayed at the Papa Bear cottage for 5 days with my two teenage sons. The cottage was small but well-maintained, clean, and thoughtfully provisioned with everything needed for basic cooking. The lake is beautiful, and it’s a wonderful area for paddling and hiking. It was 90 degrees during our visit, but I was pleasantly surprised by how cool and comfortable the cottage was even during the day. There is quite a bit of traffic noise, especially in the morning, but we got used to it.

We loved staying at Ripley Hill cabin! The cabin was beautiful and clean, and the surrounding land was breathtaking. We also loved being in such close proximity to Buttermilk Falls which is gorgeous and has multiple swimming holes to enjoy! Scott and Rose were spectacular hosts. They were available to us and clear with their expectations and instructions. Thank you!

We loved camping at this site! My friends and I threw a surprise birthday party for my husband who loves being out in nature and being active outdoors. This site provided us exactly that! We swam and spent all day at the pond, gazed at the stars at night and spent a lot of time playing games by a campfire. The site is well stocked, I didn’t even need to bring much utensils for the kitchen. We will definitely come back. It’s the most relaxed I’ve ever been. And the fact that there wasn’t electricity helped us recharge away from our devices! I give this site 5 stars all around. Thank you so much!

3 nights at Laughing Bear Cottages - Squam Lake
Authentic, simple, and a highly desirable location. The cottage provided amazing access to the lake - with kayaks, bar-b-que grill (and all tools), full kitchen, and an ideal location all made our visit wonderful. The cabin was very located and close to top notch restaurants. Papa Bear cabin is the real deal and the family that maintains it knows this and celebrates it. They clearly love the place. We 100% would return again.

3 nights at Laughing Bear Cottages - Squam Lake
Great little cabin for very basic needs in the Squam lakes area.
Bed was comfortable, kitchen is a little cramped but I made it work.
Nice shaded area kept the cabin cooler during the warmer days.
The private beach was a very short walk across the street and I made great use of the kayak.
The "fire pit" I deemed unsafe to use as the area for Papa Bear is quite small and they had it near there wooden fence and cabin 5' spacing between both. I could easily see either the fence or the cabin easily catching fire.
The mama bear site has a much better area for having a fire and it also has a picnic table.
The cabin is close to everything, there is a great store right down the road that makes amazing sandwiches and baked goods.
A very old school shur fine store for dinner essentials and Command Man locations on every corner for food.

We loved sleeping on the screened-in porch and watching the fireflies every evening. Tiny Pond was just a short walk away and was great for swimming and paddling. The cabin provided just the right mix of rustic with access to some modern amenities (lights, shower, hot running water).

This was one of our best summer vacations yet! The Cabin was cozy and we loved our nightly fires inside! Playing scrabble and disconnecting after 5pm truly bonded our family together! I would recommend this place to anyone looking to bond as a family and get in touch with nature!

Another year kicking off the summer at forest echo and we couldn't have had a better time!
Caretakers are always amazing and kind, the chickens laid a special "mini egg" and Scott went out of his was to give it to my daughter. You can't beat the farm fresh eggs for breakfast. As always, will absolutely return!

Rustic cabin with a stocked kitchen, amazing fireplace and my favorite, the sleeping porch.
Situated 0n acres of gorgeous property ours to explore - hime, swim, paddle or just relax. Scott and Rose were lovely at check-in, could t have asked for nicer hosts.
Perfect way to truly disconnect - no WiFi or strong cell service, just peace and quiet. I read an entire book yesterday - that hasn’t happened in years!

We had a great time at Forest Echo and can't wait to go back! The property is absolutely gorgeous. The cabin was so very comfortable and the cleanest of any hipcamp cabin I've visited. The forest and land is beautifully cared for, and I loved the flowers and ferns around the cabin. The lake was beautiful and perfect for canoeing and kayaking while the farm pond was picturesque for sitting and relaxing and a fun swim spot too. The people were extremely kind, welcoming and helpful! The hike down to the lake isn't an issue for most people, especially not active ones. However, if you have mobility or breathing problems it may be difficult. We still made it without a problem, but some may find it difficult.
