Chilly evenings in the hut are easily tempered by a pot belly stove fed by seasoned wood. A built in bunk accommodates two people, but it’s possible to sleep up to four guests.

Camping is provided by and in support of the Blueberry Hill Outdoor Center, a 501 3C non-profit company. Located in the heart of the Green Mountain National Forest, the Outdoor Center provides access to the Blueberry Hill network of trails, the Vermont Long Trail, The Catamount Trail, and the Moosalamoo National Forest Trails.
All campsites are located at the edge of the field behind the Outdoor Center. We have hot/cold outdoor showers as well as restrooms in the Outdoor Center. For more information, visit our website at blueberryhilltrails dot com.
While there is an internet connection near the buildings, it may not be available at your site. Cell service is limited at best. You can drive your car right up to your site. Sites are a good distance apart. Site 1 and the Bed in the Shed are the most private. Site two is quite open and supports trailers.
For your campfire, you can forage for wood or request "bundles" (about a dozen hunks of wood) by the morning of your arrival, and we'll have it delivered to your site. Please note, wood from outside Vermont is not permitted.
Step outside your tent and you'll find a wealth of hiking, biking, and running trails. As stewards of these trails, your camping fees help support the efforts of this non-profit comany. Nearby, you can enjoy swimming, kayaking, and canoeing. Trail maps are provided upon arrival, and you can also view them online on our webpage at Blueberry Hill Outdoor Center.
The Outdoor Center offers snacks and cold drinks for purchase, including our inn-made chocolate chip cookies, chips, and cold drinks. Also available on site, at the Inn across the road on mornings we are serving, may be a full breakfast, pastries, packed lunch, and coffee. Hello, welcome to Know Town located amidst the close knit hills of central Vermont and nestled in the heart of the Stony Brook watershed in the town of Stockbridge. We have just over 40 acres of diverse natural beauty to explore and bask in, which includes a beautiful stretch of the brook with multiple dunking spots, as well as a larger swimming hole. In addition to Know Town's own outdoor activities, there are plenty of hiking trails and big river swimming holes located nearby.
Currently, we offer two options for your overnight stays, but will soon have an additional camp site. Our Geodesic dome is the epitome of glamping with the comforts of home, but still integrated into the natural surroundings. Located right on the brook with a private fire pit and outdoor dining set up. There is plenty of room for games in the large field and a separate camp spot overlooking a little water fall and one of our swimming holes.
For those who enjoy car camping we have the Apple tree camp site. Located right on the brook with a big rock for sunbathing and a spacious area for tents and rooftop car campers. There are a couple of apple trees to relax in the shade under and a large picnic table and fire pit.
Know Town welcomes well mannered dogs (2 per site). We are 420 friendly and geared towards hosting those interested in arts, music, meditation, and ecology. There is virtually no light pollution which makes for optimal stargazing.
Also, it should be noted that there is currently no Wi-Fi or cell service. Please be aware that Vermont prohibits out-of-state Firewood. We sell firewood for dome and campfires, and guests are welcome to scavenge the plethora of downed dead wood on the property.

There are several miles of maintained hiking trails meandering throughout the forest, ranging from an easy walk, to hilly and somewhat challenging. Many varieties of tent locations or places to park an RV, pop up, or car. This is considered a "Primitive camp site". There is no shower, toilet or electric available at this time, but well water can be had from our residence, via a hose spigot on the side of our home. This is our 3rd year of hosting, and due to the overwhelming popularity of having an abundance of privacy, we will continue to be only hosting one party at a time. Which means you'll get the privilege of not having to share your surroundings with anyone else! Your own private camp ground! We are hoping this all works out and intend to continuously improve amenities, activities and overall experience. Please note- This site is on the backside of an operating crop farm. Corn, hay and wheat are grown on the farm. The road to the campsite is utilized by farm equipment, and at times, depending on the weather and traffic it can be muddy to travel on. We continue to improve the farm road, however at this time we recommend AWD or 4WD vehicles.
Rules to follow onsite
When dry you can drive right to the tent, otherwise it is a Hike-To Campsite, it's approximately 400 feet from the parking area. No motorized vehicles permitted on the property beyond parking area. This is to help minimize traffic on the property and preserve natural environment and service road.
Parking: There is a parking area for multiple cars located at the entrance of the property, and is limited to 10 vehicles. Turn onto the private dirt road marked 361 Mt. Independence Road. Continue down the road about a 1/2 mile until you see the parking area sign. If you'd rather not drive your vehicle up the dirt road, there is designated parking space at the base of the entrance near the old barn.
Park in designated parking space only. Once parked in Parking area follow the mowed path to the campsite. This is a Posted Private Property. You'll see the signs at entrance of property.
Please stay on the mowed campsite, trails or road.
Do not cut trees or damage natural landscape.
Please leave the site as you found it.
Clean up after yourself and your pets.

Our family is excited to share the beauty of our working crop farm with others. My great grandfather settled here in the late 1930's from Stanstead, Canada, Our family milked dairy cows until 2006 at which time my Dad sold the herd and leased out to neighbor that continues the farming activities on the farm. In 2020, my husband and I became the proud owners of Lake Home Farm. For many years my grandparents rented row boats at this campsite which brought so much joy to so many. We are excited to engage with Tentrr and our campers to share this gem while continuing the relationship with our neighbor who crops the land. Note: this campsite is named after Dot, Dot lived in Ludlow, VT and she spent her summers at this site for all the years of my childhood. She was famous for her turtle soup and we're delighted to remember her in this way!

The cabin sits on 10 acres of land was once owned by the infamous Rockefeller and is in the heart of the Vermont Green Mountains. Plymouth is the home of many historic sites, mind blowing views of the mountains, and close a proximity to some of the best resources Vermont has to offer (The Appalachian Trail, Vermont Artisan Cheese, Long Trail Brewery Company, numerous Maple Syrup shops, etc...). Plymouth is also is the birthplace of Calvin Coolidge, the 30th President of The United States. The home he was born in, lived in, and inaugurated in are less than a mile away and are all still standing, now are used as museums to represent his history and the impact he has had on the town of Plymouth. The property also has memorable views of Mt. Killington that is just miles away where you can see the beautiful foliage during the fall months and see the ski slopes during the winter months. Very cool spot! The camp is literally right next to the water, which was so soothing at night.
Lots to explore and beautiful scenery! I especially enjoyed the swing hidden across the water, over looking a perfect swimming hole!
You can see the Dome site from the Apple Tree site, but far and private enough to still enjoy.

The dome was amazing! Had all the basic you would need for a few nights. Plus the outhouse was very nice ;)
The property was so peaceful with the river steps away from the dome. As noted it does get very cold on below freezing nights but the indoor wood stove became my best friend. I would definitely recommend for people who love a nature camping/rustic glamping experience! Bow the host was very responsive and helpful too.

Adorable cabin, great folks (hosts) and beautiful spot. Appreciate the fire ring and picnic table. Clean, well kept landscape with plenty of room to lounge and hang out. You can tell they put a lot of thought into it. Location is near cute little towns and trails are walking distance from the property. Bike straight from the property. The cleanest pet-friendly place I ever stayed. I'll definitely be back.

Our little spot by the apple tree felt private and gorgeous, and it was also easy to find with clear signage to get to the site. The bathroom was well stocked and clean, with charming artwork, and the firewood was plentiful and reasonably priced. We were able to set up camp right next to the river which was incredibly scenic and peaceful. There was a pre-set fire pit and picnic table that made everything so convenient. We got to meet Bow, who was delightful, and his future plans for the property will make an already amazing stay even better; this is definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to.

Weekend Trip to Know Town
Knowtown has what you need…from the soothing but energizing music of the creek to the cool, sun-dappled woods or the wide open field under the stars to the funky and functional facilities, this is the slice of secluded magic you may have been looking for.
We stayed in the Dome this time - which was the perfect mix of art, shelter and coziness…plus some powerfully cool acoustic qualities (you have to experience it to get it) but I’ve already booked a week of tent camping later in the summer and will likely be back again for a night or two in the meantime.
Bow & Lori were gracious, helpful and just all around good folks so you’re in excellent hands, and - for all of its seclusion - Knowtown is a few minutes away from multiple eateries, general stores and gas stations and just a few minutes more from the interstate.

Weekend Trip to Riverside Retreat and Tiny Cabin
This tiny riverside cabin was absolutely perfect for our weekend getaway. It was fully stocked with all the basics and so many very thoughtful details, as well. The site was nicely tucked away and private. The cleanliness of the porta-potty was also notable - world's cleanest porta potty. Robbin was an excellent and thoughtful host with very thorough notes for our stay at cabin (every quick question we came across could be answered by her notes) and she also sent along a comprehensive list of things to visit in the area which ended up being the guide to our adventures around the area. Everything about our stay was perfect down to the amount of firewood provided with our 2-night stay. The only thing we would have changed about our stay would be to stay longer. We will absolutely be visiting again!

I absolutely loved my trip with my partner this weekend to Robbin’s tiny cabin. It’s small but mighty! Packed with everything you might need for a weekend getaway in the woods next to a beautiful river. I am a bit scared of heights but the super comfy king sized bed in the loft, and sturdy ladder helped so much. We will be back 🏕️

The views were absolutely beautiful! We originally booked site #4, but when we arrived, Rupert suggested we check out the barn pavilion site since it had even better views and wasn’t reserved. He kindly offered to let us set up camp there, and we’re so glad we did—it was definitely worth it. The sunset over the mountains was stunning!
We had to cut our stay short due to a family emergency, which was disappointing, but we would absolutely recommend camping here and would love to come back.

Had a great time my with 12 year old daughter at the dome! It's a beautiful site, right by the river. The dome is very cozy and clean, the stove is awesome. We were in early April and it got below freezing overnight, it definitely got cold but stayed warm under the blankets! Owners were chill and great. Thank you!

I only utilized the site as a swap over from and apartment back into my camper but the hosts were wonderfully helpful (added extra length to the power outlet so I didn’t have to re-hook and move my camper closet). 3 nights at Riverside Retreat and Tiny Cabin
The river is so beautiful and peaceful that you can see and hear out the window. The cabin had everything you could need and Robyn was very quick and helpful with any questions. And the area is very dog friendly.. The heater was plenty warm for the cold nights.. I am a smoker and we were getting a little bit of rain so Robyn brought me over a canopy and set it up for me. Overall wonderful time
