We are located mid-point in the network at a perfect jumping off point for adventure. There are also miles and miles of quiet dirt roads and abandoned forest tracks in the area, offering near endless opportunities for gravel cycling adventures. The property features perennial gardens, a pond, open meadows, forestland, and picturesque southerly views from the top of the north meadow. The tent, van and glamping sites are thoughtfully located in protected nooks in the forestland and along the forest's edge. We have hot outdoor showers (3) and a handmade wooden building that houses our portable toilets. There is also a communal fire pit.

Absolutely wonderful place! The views of both sunrise and sunset are breathtaking, the location is perfect, and the property is very well maintained. Our host, Stephanie, was incredibly welcoming and helpful. Grateful Acres is just 25 minutes from great restaurants and coffee shops, and only 5 minutes from the stunning Somerset Reservoir and nearby hiking trails. We loved our stay and would love to come back!

2 nights at Lake Lauderdale Campground

This campground is easy to park with a convenient bathroom and showers that are fairly clean. Toilets were cleaned both mornings. The last shower stall is large enough to get clothes away from shower area. The shower heads are intelligently placed facing toward the back wall and there was plenty of hot water. The washer and dryer are reasonably priced. We were there late in the season and they were doing some work with chain saws. Perhaps in preparation for the next season. Absolutely no managerial people spoke to us and the office was closed when we arrived. We just went to our reserved site.

Did one night tent camping while passing through the area on the rainiest night haha. I didn’t meet anyone on site but Stephanie was super fast replying via messages! Tent site was level and clean with a lot of space, there was a fire grate and picnic table and the pit toilet was seriously the nicest pit toilet I’ve used (only pit toilet I’ve ever called aesthetically pleasing!). You do need to drive a 7-mile dirt road to reach the property, it was fine for my Prius (just some very minor washboarding in a few places) but if you also have a city car you’ll definitely be driving a bit slower than Google Map‘s estimate.

Just as described- a lovely spot to stay. The port-a-potty was pleasant, the sink with a hose made it easy to keep everything clean and everyone hydrated, and the fire pit and picnic table were fun additions to our afternoons and evenings. jThe spot felt special because of the river's morning fog and evening beaver. I'd recommend staying here and I'd stay here again.
