We are at the top of Raccoon Hill. Overlooking a valley with Punch Brook at the bottom. You can see Belknap Mountain across the way. There are many trails nearby. The state snowmobile trails run nearby with access at the power lines that cross Raccoon Hill, Great for hiking, biking in the summer. And snowmobiling in the winter. State rail trail is nearby also (bottom of Raccoon Hill and rt 11) Giving access to the entire state! Highland Lake is a few miles away. Webster Lake is a bit further down the road. Fishing ponds are all over the area. Ragged mountain is 20 minutes from here. The mountain biking park in Northfield is about 20 minutes away. Black Bear Vineyard is a few miles away. Weekend Trip to Slateville Farm Secluded Camps

My family (7 year old daughter, husband and dog) had the most wonderful time tent camping at the Hops site on Heather and Paul's beautiful farm. It's such a special, expansive place with so many cool spots to hike to within the farm that we didn't feel like we needed to leave the property. We loved the peace and privacy of the Hops site but next time we'd like to try to Oak tree site which has stunning views. My daughter loved drinking directly from the spring behind Heather's house, and visiting the pergola near dusk. The highland cows against the backdrop of rolling hills and the beautiful slate structures look like paintings. I'd definitely recommend taking the tour of the property to orient yourself. Heather is a lovely person and a knowledgeable and engaging host.

Heather provided us with the perfect getaway weekend! Her farm is so beautiful and she is a wonderful hostess! The Hops site was very private and peaceful. The outdoor seating and firepit made it so easy to relax and enjoy the fall evenings. The hiking trails that they have made are great to explore. We also took advantage of the outdoor shower which was such a nice experience. Even the outhouse was comfortable and meticulously maintained, and this is coming from someone who normally tries to avoid them. Last and certainly not least, we are still enjoying some of the home-grown/homemade treats from her farm stand, and cannot wait to return to Slateville. Thank you to Heather and Paul for such a great weekend!

This was my second visit to Heather's farm and I look forward to returning again. The property is gorgeous. The sites are very large, private, and far enough apart that you will not see or hear other campers. My dog and I loved being able to walk all the roads and trails that criss-cross the property right from our campsite. On my first visit I was there in October and the fall foliage was just incredible. The farm is close enough to town so that everything you could need is within easy reach, but far enough to feel quiet and remote. I am already looking forward to our next visit!

Beautiful scenery and setup spots. I don’t think my dogs had ever had so much private space to just wander before. They loved that. Host is super responsive. This was my first time needing to prime a well. Host came and did a quick impromptu lesson on priming. And I learned something new. You can hear/see vehicles going by a bit but it didn’t bother me. Would stay again for sure.

We absolutely loved staying at the new quarry site!! The farm is HUGE and the property itself is beautiful. The campsite was very well maintained and the new quarry site is only a few steps away from the swimming hole (which was way better than you’re imagining, if that’s even possible). We had a few first-time campers with us and the new quarry site was perfect (surrounded by trees but the site itself is an open clearing). The farm stand had lots of vegetables from Heather’s garden and other necessities for rent/purchase, and Heather was very nice and super accommodating - she even let us stay later after checkout on our last day!! This campsite had everything we were looking for, and it was a short drive from many good hiking spots. We definitely recommend and hope to be back in the future!!

Sunrise Manor is an amazing place to camp. It is in a clearing, in a very private area, and you feel like truly you are a million miles away even though it’s only 15-20 mins from towns like Franklin or Andover. I even saw a shooting star. The hosts were very responsive and answered all our questions, both before and during our stay. The hookups are easy (we had a small RV) and great to have those amenities. But if you are tent camping they are not intrusive. The picnic table and Adirondack chairs with the fire pit were a great plus!

Very nice secluded spot. Nice and flat for our camper. Site was close to the road but it's a quiet road so not noisy. Had everything we needed. Many places a short drive to get to, stores and places to walk/hike.
