Weekend Trip to Camp away from home

Penny's place is great! Loved meeting all the dogs, horses, chickens, and goats! So freaking cute. There's other RVs and trailers parked on the property, but we picked a spot to set up our tent near the road - great views past the road to the hills!

1 night at Secluded Orchard Boondocking

Great little spot! We needed a quiet place to rest after a long day of driving with our travel trailer. It was only a few miles from the freeway and easy to find. The actual camping spot is nestled in among trees in a cherry and apple orchard, very quiet and lovely when the sun comes up. It might be a little tricky navigating a few turns to the spot if you have a long rig, but no problem with our 22-footer. We would definitely stay again when traveling through the area. Thanks!

1 night at Secluded Orchard Boondocking

My partner and I had a great time camping at Ardell’s orchard. It was peaceful, secluded, and quiet. It was nice seeing chickens in the morning and the cherries and apples on the trees. Thank you for the opportunity of letting us camp out!

Great Spot! We had spot #19 an it was beautiful. Everything was quiet and peaceful and we would definitely come back.

1 night at Sandy Beach

Although the location I thought was relatively close to the Salt Flats, the view and location were still amazing. We pulled in fairly late, just as the sun was setting, got our tent set up, and chilled. Our car, unfortunately, wouldn't be able to travel away from the beach, so we parked it near the airstream sites with no issues. Would recommend and would look at staying again in the future.

This campsite was so fun! It is right on the beach, and it is so nice to not have to set up a tent but still enjoy the camping experience! Parker is very communicative and answered all my questions. We hope to visit again.

Beautiful and private site . Truly a must stay even staycation . We’re from Arizona traveling to Yellowstone and made a pit stop here to rest and explore surrounding areas . Beautiful hike on salt river nearby . Hoping to come back in future summer trips for a longer stay . Thank you again sharing your beautiful land with us !

Penny was super friendly. I got treated by friendly dogs every day that I was there. The sunsets were amazing and it’s like stepping back into time and Staying on an active farm. I have enjoyed my day. Recommend this spot to anyone! It’s a very beautiful Old Farmtown kind of area! I would give it five stars!!!

Great site. Easy access. Level. Very quiet. Penny was a great host. This was a great place to stay prior to the Utah Valley Marathon. So close to the start and you don’t need to get up so early to get on the bus. Highly recommended!

4 nights at Secluded Orchard Boondocking

The campsite was just as described, and was a single campsite in the middle of an orchard. My kids loved having access to a grassy playground after a long day of traveling and before taking off on our adventures in the morning. We slept great here, and enjoyed our tour of the animals and garden. Ardell was so kind to us and my children. My sister commented on how it's close to the freeway, but still feels secluded and calm.

Truly one of the most wonderful homes and people we've encountered. Lynn is an exceptional host, allowing you to have as much space or community as you'd like. I felt like we were visiting a beloved Aunt! The main house is full of life and art and books, you're encouraged to politely make yourself at home. Lynn was available for anything we needed and her conversation left our souls feeling nourished. The home and property are a working creation: mound gardens being built, meals being prepared, and creative beauty happening all around! The animals are happy and healthy, as are the people, we got to meet a few helpers and Lynn's kind son. We stayed in the Boho bell tent and slept incredibly well, heated blanket and everything else you might need was thoughtfully provided. If you need anything, just ask, Lynn's only a text or phone call away or found tending to the kitchen or caring for a person/animal/plant. Thank you for everything!!

We had an excellent 3-and-a-half-day stay at this campsite, and it was really a 5-star experience. From the start, Lynnellen was extremely attentive, she made the effort to check in with us every night to ensure we had everything we needed, quickly answering every call and problem, and going out of her way to assist us during our stay. The hospitality exceeded expectations. The homemade breakfasts were amazing and a thoughtful touch every morning. The assistance with laundry and other little tasks made everything much more convenient and comfortable. You can sense how much care and attention goes into running the place. We felt warmly welcomed and cared for. We're already planning to return and would highly suggest this campsite to anyone looking for a relaxing, well-managed, and welcoming experience.

Such a unique little stop! Our tent was comfortable and clean, Lynnellen was so kind and accommodating, and the outdoor shower was a delightful bonus. We were on a road trip so we weren't set up the best for not being able to park right at the campsite, but the walk is very short and it wasn't a huge deal. The sites are close to one another, however, we ended up being the only ones there so it was quiet and private for us. Lynnellen has so many different offerings for you when you are there, it is sure to please every type of camper!

Lynn was absolutely amazing! She was super friendly, would stop her busy day to answer questions or ask if you need anything, and opened nearly her whole home as well as everything outside. You can tell she takes great pride in her home and area & it she seems to constantly be making improvements. We will for sure be back! The sunsets were beautiful from the farthest point of her backyard, where a fun:unique community fire pit area is placed. The cows were friendly haha and the trees she’s planted are beautiful & not the typical UT trees. I also loved the swings that can be fun for adults as well. Our second night there a storm was blowing in, though it never rained, the wind gusts were over 20mph and our yurt was extremely comfortable and we could hardly tell from inside the wind was so strong outside.

Yuba - El Conejo Lakeside

Park your van, trailer or RV a skip away from Yuba Lake on private 3 acre land. Unimproved parking space surrounded by beautiful views. Plenty of space to set up tents, pets welcome. Just minutes away from the marina and Yuba Lake State Park amenities including zip line, potable water and dump with state park entrance fee. Enjoy the lake during the day and the stars at night. Property has two sites. Both have optional electrical hookup, boat slip , and firewood. Site 1 - “El Conejo Camp Spot” away from the main road featuring 4x20 step off deck, picnic table, and camp chairs, as well (2) 30amp RV hookups. This is a pull thru or pull around site. Site 2 - “Roadside Summit” with picnic table, fire ring, and 50amp electrical hookup. This is a pull through site with grade. Lake can be accessed with state park fee at the marina entrance and the north shore -OR- on the south side via five minute ride or 1.25 mi walk. Note: this is a shared private beach for the properties on this side of the lake. It is included with your booking and limited to that time. It has many amenities including: large gazebos on artificial turf, fire pits, playground, flush toilets, water, and docks. (See Add-Ons if you need a boat slip for the day or overnight). Road in is dirt with minor grade up to property. Notes: ——— * Wildlife - In late summer, cattle graze nearby. In spring, you may see sheep and baby lambs on the way to the south beach access. There are rattle snakes, bunnies, and we’ve seen a scorpion or two. *Weather - Summer days can be quite hot with cooler nights. There is no shade on the property. Wind gusts carrying dust can occur. It’s a good idea to check weather app for conditions. *Landscape/Views - Utah natural landscape changes markedly with the seasons. Some photos may reflect green grasses, when these dry out mid summer, they can produce fine stickers to be aware of with long hair pets, kids, and ankles in general. Views can change depending on developing neighboring properties. Sunsets either at the lake or the property are unobstructed and often dramatic. Night sky viewing is also pretty awesome as there is very little light pollution.
