Note: this is a shared private beach for the properties on this side of the lake. It is included with your booking and limited to that time. It has many amenities including: large gazebos on artificial turf, fire pits, playground, flush toilets, water, and docks. (See Add-Ons if you need a boat slip for the day or overnight).

* Wildlife - In late summer, cattle graze nearby. In spring, you may see sheep and baby lambs on the way to the south beach access.
There are rattle snakes, bunnies, and we’ve seen a scorpion or two.
*Weather - Summer days can be quite hot with cooler nights. There is no shade on the property. Wind gusts carrying dust can occur. It’s a good idea to check weather app for conditions.
*Landscape/Views - Utah natural landscape changes markedly with the seasons. Some photos may reflect green grasses, when these dry out mid summer, they can produce fine stickers to be aware of with long hair pets, kids, and ankles in general.
Views can change depending on developing neighboring properties.
Sunsets either at the lake or the property are unobstructed and often dramatic. Night sky viewing is also pretty awesome as there is very little light pollution.

Didn't get to stay long, got snowed out and had to stay in town nearby. Too cold for tent/car camping!
However, the area is beautiful, with a scenic drive up to the site and a nice choice of campsites in the area. Plenty of firewood from logging and trail making was available. Definitely going to come back in the warmer months and explore, and hopefully see the falls!

Weather turned cold and it was snowing so we switched to a cabin. Very cozy with all the comforts you need. We could hear the river and had coffee on the porch in the morning sun. Ricki and help were very responsive and breakfast was an added bonus. The tent spots looked nice too, right in the water with shade and close to washrooms.

We loved camping at Sandy Beach. We camped Sunday-Monday and we had the site to ourselves. Cows were by the beach and amazing views. We rented a kayak and Parker had it ready for us. We definitely recommend this camp site and will be back again.

We had a wonderful experience at this site! The staff were all very helpful and kind. We had a tent site by the river and were greeted by adorable ducks and chickens in the morning. The bathrooms and showers were all very clean and well kept. They also delivered us breakfast to our site in the morning. Overall a great experience that I would recommend to anyone!

This was a really sweet spot with great views. The glamping tent was spacious and cozy— we went in late Feb and the space heater kept it perfectly warm on a cold night. In the morning we met the two sweetest farm dogs, and we were welcomed to greet and interact with the rescue animals. The mountains were right there, making such a beautiful setting. It’s also close to a bunch of cool spots for adventures! We drove the ~1 hr to Bryce Canyon. We had a great time!

We have been to many sites and this one was our favorite. We were immediately greeted and even given a tour of the place right away, we felt welcomed and really enjoyed the positive friendliness vibes here. The land is absolutely a special place with an amazing 35mile bike ride trail that loops right to the park entrance, that had some of the best views Iv ever biked. We can’t wait to come back.

Rikki is the best host you could ask for. She was so welcoming and always available for anything you needed. The cabin was cozy and warm even in December when we went. There is two cabins nearby but set up in a way that you hardly notice them as they are facing the river. Lots of cute geese, ducks, and chicken running around. We will definitely be back!

Great place and had a fun time at the Garden cabin! Even for early december and winter conditions, the room was very warm and we had a comfortable time at night. The host was very helpful and responsive when we had questions about firewood and the property. Definitely recommend and would love to visit again in summer if I have a chance!

We had a great time staying here! The barn was super cute, warm, and cosy, and the bathrooms were great.
Our only complaint is that there were five large dogs running around off leash the entire time we were there. Of course they were friendly to me and my parents, but my own dog does not always do well with other dogs. I barely let him out because I didn't want him to meet five other large dogs, especially when the owner was not in sight. I am not sure if these dogs live on site or belonged to another guest, but we would have appreciated stricter rules about dogs being kept on leash (as my dog was).

This site is located an a lovely farm and as it has only one site, you have complete privacy. The host was a very friendly gentleman who welcomed me on arrival and checked again on me in the morning but otherwise left me to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Although the water was turned off for the season, I did have electricity. I would definitely stay here again.
