Great stay
Other than the cold temps, the campsite was great. Mountain View’s, streams and great hosts! We will be back again.

So much for for my 5 year old son. The train cars are just as pictured and the area is beautiful and relaxing.

We loved this little cabin and the whole of Big Rock Candy Mountain. Highly recommend doing the tubing down the lazy river!

I couldn't believe how nice the lodging was- just like a hotel, but with the quiet and relaxing nature of camping!

Campsite 10 - Back In
Muddy
The area immediately outside our trailer door was pure dirt. I can't imagine staying here in the rain. It was bad enough without rain. And I don't understand why they haven't put some stones down when they're charging $50 a night. The trash bins were overflowing. I would not stay here again.

Campsite 11 - Back In
I believe this was a beautiful campground in its day and could be again with some effort. It obviously had grass at the campsites at one time because of existing sprinkler system but it’s long gone, mostly dirt remaining. Weeds are overgrown in areas (particularly around the playground), trees need trimming, our picnic table needed repaired or replaced (plastic seats and top cracked), it would have been nice to enjoy the river but when I walked down to it I was eaten by mosquitoes within seconds because of the tall weeds along the banks. Grass was cut inside the fence area. We ate at the restaurant across the street, had great service and good breakfast from the nearly one-woman staff. She was amazing, handling all the front work alone. Staff at checkin was also very friendly, but obviously was having issues with things that were no longer “operational”. Overall, our stay was good, a cell phone signal is nearly nonexistent in this area and although they have Starlink for Wi-Fi, you can only get a signal at the office.
