Boom, easy explanation. Now, on to the good stuff. In Utah, the St. George Field Office manages around 629,000 acres of land in Washington County. The environment out here is pretty dang unique, because it’s situated at the convergence of the Mojave Desert, the Great Basin, and the Colorado Plateau. Some plants and animals can only be found here in this unique area. Because it’s such a one-of-a-kind spot, the recreation opportunities are just as awesome. The BLM’s website describes them as “as diverse and challenging as the desert landscape.” We’ll raise a glass (or a tin camp mug) to that description! Easy sightseeing is an option, and hiking is another favorite activity for all levels. Our 5 Bedroom cabin sleeps 13 and has plenty of room for your family and friends, including a fully renovated kitchen with new appliances, a private yard with a grill and fire pit. Next door is a rec room with a pool table, ping pong table, and air hockey. As you would expect, we have free wi-fi and smart TVs.
Our latest addition! A "cowboy cabin" is a simple cabin somewhere between camping and a hotel room. Ours has electricity, heat and AC, a bunk bed that can sleep 3, mini fridge, microwave and wall mounted TV. Like most cowboy cabins, it does not have its own plumbing, but our famously clean private restrooms with showers are just a 50ft walk.
This is the perfect get a way to hold your next family reunion or special event! We welcome events on property and for a small fee can rent out our community spaces while you are a guest here.
Priced about the same as our RV sites, it's a great option for campers who need a break from your tent!
Reservation Booking Fee- A $20 booking fee applies to all reservations at Cedar Canyon RV Retreat, regardless of the booking platform used. If the booking fee is not collected by the third-party platform at the time of reservation, the $20 fee will be added to your reservation balance and collected at check-in or at the time final reservation charges are processed. HipCamp guests may manually select this fee as an add-on to pay the required booking fee in advance. Adding it to your reservation means your booking fee is taken care of before arrival, so you won’t need to have it added to your balance or pay it at check-in.

Welcome to a great wide open desert retreat. Do as you please! No one is going to bother you. Let the animals loose, roll out the off road vehicles, ride bikes, and build a fire and enjoy that peaceful good outdoor life.
The old Spanish trail can be found nearby for hiking and/or biking and there are mountains and cool wildlife all around in the valley. The stars all pop completely present with no light pollution to spoil them.
Additionally, Southern Utah has so many other trails and beautiful places all over in almost any direction. Zion National Park is only a little over an hour drive away down I-15. I highly recommend Kanarraville Falls as well, as it's at most only 30 minutes away.
*** Getting to the property:
It is directly off of the "main" road which consists of a well kept wide dirt road. The GPS location will guide you straight there to an intersecting road with a stop sign called 1200 E which runs south the "main" road/4800 N/AKA Antelope Springs Rd. At this intersection, there is a trail running north marked with an orange post for fiber cable. That trail and road marks the bottom left corner of the property if you're facing north. Follow the trail and find your way anywhere on the right side, there are already some campsites made up, but you are also welcome to make your own to your hearts desire. Be mindful of your vehicle, cars can drive the trail but there is always a risk of getting stuck. You can also park on the main road as you are already at the property anyway and can just walk in a little ways to set up your camp.
**It's important to be aware of any fire warnings for Iron County, Utah. Do a Google search for fire threats and it should be the first thing you see. Most of the time, large bonfires will be highly discouraged. Use good judgment when building a fire of any size.
*Cedar City is a straight shot East if you need any medical attention.

We made a last minute decision to stay here and they were very accommodating. Lovely RV resort, although we didn’t use the amenities due to spending our time at Zion, they all looked first class. We did use the showers and dog park, both in perfect shape, very clean. This park is the perfect location for visiting Zion, and we also went to Snow Canyon for hiking with our dogs while there.

The campground host, Rachael was excellent! We had some issues with our little pop-up trailer and were unable to set it up, Rachael offered us a place to stay (campground also has cabins) and fixed all the paperwork reflecting our change in reservations. We did not have to do anything. The campground itself is in a beautiful location, was clean, and secure.

Oct is not a good month for visiting. Late spring or summer is the time to visit. It is a beautiful area with super views on the drive to the campground. Would highly recommend for campground views and drive up. The host was great and helped me to get out of being stuck due to the amount of rain and mud. I will be back.

I stayed for one night in between my visits to Zion and Bryce. The location was great for beautiful sky views and having somewhere to rest for the night. The roads were still a bit muddy from on and off rain throughout the day that made it a little more difficult getting in. I’m not typically a nervous driver, but was more cautious due to this. As mentioned, how you fare is more about how you drive rather than what you drive.

What an amazing spot. Beautiful. Portapotty toilets were clean. We will come again and recommend to others. We were camping on a rainy couple of days and even though we waited for a dry spell, the road was very muddy and required our 4WD low. Don't ignore the recommendations on driving to the camp site in the rain.
