The old Spanish trail can be found nearby for hiking and/or biking and there are mountains and cool wildlife all around in the valley. The stars all pop completely present with no light pollution to spoil them. Additionally, Southern Utah has so many other trails and beautiful places all over in almost any direction. Zion National Park is only a little over an hour drive away down I-15. I highly recommend Kanarraville Falls as well, as it's at most only 30 minutes away. *** Getting to the property: It is directly off of the "main" road which consists of a well kept wide dirt road. The GPS location will guide you straight there to an intersecting road with a stop sign called 1200 E which runs south the "main" road/4800 N/AKA Antelope Springs Rd. At this intersection, there is a trail running north marked with an orange post for fiber cable. That trail and road marks the bottom left corner of the property if you're facing north. Follow the trail and find your way anywhere on the right side, there are already some campsites made up, but you are also welcome to make your own to your hearts desire. Be mindful of your vehicle, cars can drive the trail but there is always a risk of getting stuck. You can also park on the main road as you are already at the property anyway and can just walk in a little ways to set up your camp. **It's important to be aware of any fire warnings for Iron County, Utah. Do a Google search for fire threats and it should be the first thing you see. Most of the time, large bonfires will be highly discouraged. Use good judgment when building a fire of any size. *Cedar City is a straight shot East if you need any medical attention.

Fremont culture and Anasazi people were the first known inhabitants of the area. Petroglyphs, pithouses, arrowheads, pottery, and manos dating from A.D. 750 to 1250 found in the area are evidence that it was on a major thoroughfare of early indigenous peoples. At nearby Parowan Gap ancient people inscribed petroglyphs on smooth-surfaced boulders that feature snakes, lizards, mouse-men, bear claws, and mountain sheep. Located near the Parowan Gap there are dinosaur tracks. East of the Gap and petroglyphs hikers can discover Hadrosaurs tracks that were originally formed in non-resistant mudstone. Later, the Old Spanish Trail passed through the area. The nearby town of Parowan was founded in 1851, twelve months after Parley P. Pratt and members of his exploring party discovered the Little Salt Lake (dry lake bed) which is straight out from the property. The area was traveled by early settlers that used the nearby Red Hills to pass through the area to hide from aggressive Indians that hid in the nearby mountains that watch for them traveling on the Spanish Trail. Many arrow heads and artifacts have been found on and near the property. Later (early 1900's) sheep herders camped in the same place as the location of the property. More about this land: Wide open land up against The Red Hills (BLM land) near the small town of Parowan Ut. Beautiful vistas. Outdoor Model Train layout, Hiking and biking trails. Lake typically has water up to 3’ deep but is known to dry up in late summer. Petroglyphs and dinosaur tracks nearby. Water on property No public bathrooms.

This is a central location with endless possibilities to go exploring the amazing outdoors. This is a private residential property in a neighborhood with lot sizes ranging from 1 to 10 acres. There is only one RV site so it’s much quieter than a public campground. The driveway area circles around the private home so it is easy to pull your RV through to the RV pad/spot. Please realize your respect to this property and neighborhood is of utmost importance. There are neighbors with cows, geese, chickens, goats, dogs and pigs so realize it’s not as quiet as some places but still more private than many public venues. All persons staying on the property will need to sign a liability waiver since it is a horse property and horses are present. My horses aren’t offered for riding but ask about other ways you can interact with them if you desire. At no additional cost you can help care for them, brush them, and learn a few fun facts about them. For a fee you can get guided experiences with them on the ground (not in the saddle), do breath work sessions with them, and learn basic horsemanship skills.

Learn more about this land: Camp with the stars and magnificent views of Cedar City. You will be about 3 miles from 3 Peaks Recreation and biking area. There are biking trails near the property that you can hop right on. Lund Trail and Three Peaks are both really close. We are 15 minutes from Wal-mart, Panda, Cafe Rio and other businesses. Near Brian Head Ski Resort, Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, Cedar Breaks National Monument, and other great outdoor activities. The property has a gentle slope of about 7 feet down to the east over about 200 feet. It is rocky and sandy desert. You will want to bring water. Super friendly staff. Beautiful and super clean amenities and grounds. We received a text with clear instructions as we were due to arrive late. Don (staff) stayed up to meet us at the the main building and guided us to our site. He was joyful and helpful and such a great person to welcome tired and weary travelers. Bathrooms and showers were exquisite!

Weekend Trip to Gateway Luxury RV Resort

The staff at the campground were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The RV sites were very clean, and the shared facilities—such as the showers, BBQ grills, and hot tubs—were all well maintained, making our stay very comfortable. There was also a supermarket, a hardware store, and a gas station just a two-minute drive away, which was very convenient.

Wow… what a spot. Probably the coolest spot I’ve ever camped. I love that There aren’t designated spots, there are just random fire pits and Porta potties sprinkled around the land. You basically just pick wherever you want to camp.

Rachel has a great site near Cedar City that is very level and accommodated our 43' fifth wheel without any problem. She has updated the site to have full hookups, including 50 amp electrical. While here, we enjoyed mountain bike riding at Iron Hills and Three Peaks (only 5 miles away...). We also explored Cedar City a bit. We'll be back in the future, and would absolutely stay here again. Thanks again Rachel!

Kolob is always beautiful! It was also my friends’ first time visiting, and they absolutely loved it. A few things though ; we weren’t informed ahead of time that the General Store was closed, so we had to drive back to town (about 45 minutes each way) to grab some last-minute essentials. Unfortunately, we had to go home a day early because there was construction right in front of our campsite, which really ruined the whole camping experience. On the bright side, I have AT&T and surprisingly had signal, so I was able to call and update my family.

The views are worth not having a picnic table. When we first arrived and left for Zion in the morning it was dark so we had no idea how amazing the view was, and I was actually 2nd guessing my choice of campground. But when we returned and saw the place in the day time .. OMG WOW!! IT WAS AMAZING!! We even watched the meteor shower our last night. The drive to the main entrance is a little far, but the drive isn't bad, you're there B4 you know it. We would definitely stay here again!!
