The space

Our 1955 Traveleze was born and raised in Los Angeles just before getting a makeover and retiring to Texas at the age of 62-years-young. The bed is a comfortable futon opposite a padded bench seat with storage underneath with extra linens, just in case. You'll find all the pillows, sheets, and comforter in the small closet to the right of the bathroom door (the one with the clocks on it).
The bathroom with shower, toilet, and extras is located at the end of the trailer behind the door with the mirror. One of the coolest pieces in the trailer is the original 1950's gas stove - that still works! Just turn on the gas and use the lighter to light the flame (let us know if you if you need help).The A/C and the electric water heater work very well.
We have a dedicated parking spot for your vehicle right next to the trailer or you can park on the street, whichever you prefer. The trailer is stationed in the back corner of our backyard, but is fenced off from the rest of the yard for your privacy. There are no working security cameras on the premises.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a mid-size trailer, so the shower and bed are small and may not be comfortable for guests over 5' 10". The trailer is 21 feet long, 8 feet wide, and about six feet and three inches tall on the inside.

We have a dedicated parking spot for your vehicle right next to the trailer or you can park on the street, whichever you prefer. The trailer is stationed in the back corner of our backyard, but is fenced off from the rest of the yard for your privacy. There are no working security cameras on the premises.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a mid-size trailer, so the shower and bed are small and may not be comfortable for guests over 5' 10". The trailer is 21 feet long, 8 feet wide, and about six feet and three inches tall on the inside.

Host Barry has made the property around his home into a pleasant escape. A gently slopped lawn ends in a blue bonnet patch and a wooded area before opening up into lakefront. Four tent sites (w/fire rings and picnic tables) line one side of the lawn. Another tentsite and a private rv are across the lawn. Trailers are on the other side of the house, as is the shower (which is plenty private even though it is open to the outside). The ground floor of the house is a cute and rustic entertainment space with kitchenette, pool table and toilet, which is a clean, in-home-style guest toilet. The crow's nest is an amazing stargazing experience, but only for the sure-footed!
Loved our tent with its front and back porch, which extends over a gully and feels a bit like a tree house. Well ventilated with screens on all sides, tall enough to stand up un the center and very comfortable mattresses.
This property provides options for the camper who want a comfort upgrade (or rainy day backup) and glampers. It's best for those inclined to be social as the sites aren't isolated. The property was unusually empty during our stay, but I get the feeling socializing and live music around campfires is the norm. A memorable bonus: the neighborhood's free-range dog befriended ours and invited himself to a sleepover. What fun!

We love everything. The camper was small but cozy and got everything we needed. We were impressed by the bathe style, it was really cool and again it got everything we needed. The whole place was really clean and quiet. Really good for a weekend getaway. We enjoyed the bed truck for stargazing. The location is awesome, 15 mins from meridian state park which was also a nice place. Julia was so nice and responsive. She responded to my message quickly and answered all my questions.

Absolutely awesome! Beautiful property and Barry was an outstanding host. He went above and beyond to take care of us, and the value of our time there greatly exceeded the cost. We were going to be getting in late and it was going to be a super cold night, and because he had no other guests that night, he graciously offered to let us stay in the Daisy at no extra cost! This would never be an expectation, but it was very kind of him. It was very clean and obviously well taken care of. We wish we had more time there to hang out and soak it more up, but this was just a quick trip passing through for us. We hope to visit again sometime soon!

Such a lovely place! We have stayed in many rental units over the years, but this was our first yurt (we are usually tent campers) and it was Wonderful. Clean and well kept with every detail considered. Bathrooms are easily accessible and also clean and welcoming. Sauna is the Best! (and they even provide bathrobes)! Despite the quick Texas-style weather change (from 75 to 40 overnight), we were warm and cozy inside. Our weenie dog even felt like she was home.
