It has various trees on property with cedar, live oak, post oak, etc. Campsites are in front of a wide waterfall which is about 5 feet in height. You can fall asleep with the sound of the waterfalls! We have three ground tent sites and two 14 by 14 deck sites if you want to be up off the ground. Each site has a fire ring and electricity. There are well-marked trails across the creek which go to a meadow and a big treehouse I built several years ago. Glen Rose has several restaurants known for barbecue and Mexican food. The camp grounds are very nice and fairly well thought out. A little difficult to know where to go but once you figure out the layout it's a little easier. I love that it was just a short walk from most of the campsites to the restrooms. A little more info about what to expect and also where the showers were located would help. Showers were fair except the wooden backsplash was kinda gross. Oh well. I'm just glad there were showers with hot water etc. Would def recommend and will def return

We were very close to the showers and the toilet. There was a large trashcan right at the campsite. Even though the hipcampers were relatively close to one another in proximity, the cedar grove of trees provided a lot of privacy, it was very peaceful and quiet the Sat night we stayed.

Sherwood was a very accommodating and communicative host. The grounds were very clean and just as described. The water park was inactive due to the off season, and staying here made us want to come back when the park is fully operational. Great location only about 16 min to the Stockyards. Would definitely stay again!

Loved the spot! I plan to return. Bathroom and shower available and a kitchenet with appliances, very convenient. Little nice trail to the nearby lake with kayaks available for use. Loved the artistry on the property, the hammocks, entertainment area, and easy place to collect firewood for campfire!

This place is always awesome, but this new site takes it up a notch! The full size tent that you can walk in, the front porch and back balcony and electricity make it so comfortable and fun! When regular tent clamping gets old, or you are more of a glamper I can’t recommend this site enough! Plus the host Barry is always the best!

Magnificent place! Secluded and quiet. Lots of trails to walk and find interesting things. Don’t be like me and forget to bring food and a way to cook it if there’s a burn ban because the stores are not exactly a 5 minute trip. We will be back without a doubt!
