Great location. The river was very nice. Good amount of shade and I would say about just 5% occupied when I was there in late December

My husband, dogs, and I stayed in The Hideout and it was the perfect cozy space with everything we needed. Communication was top notch and river access for fishing was a definite perk. We saw plenty of wildlife during our stay as well.

Our stay in the safari tent was really nice. Exactly as pictured and described! The setup was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed for a camping trip without the hassle of packing heavy gear. The bathroom with the powered rooftop was such a great bonus and made the experience even better. We loved the balance of being close to nature while still having all the little comforts covered.

Lost horizon was a great experience for us. I’m in my 40’s and we enjoy camping but I am not into communal living or multiple units close together. This offered the seclusion we wanted and a fair price. You will need a 4x4 vehicle or at least a full size suv to get down the last stretch of road to the sites. Everything else is just as noted on the site and within the website for the property. Don’t hesitate to book!

We had a wonderful time staying at Lost Horizon with our two pups! We enjoyed the quiet and serene surroundings, saw mule deer and antelopes, and felt 100% rejuvenated and recharged. Jeremy and Stacie were kind and communicative hosts. I would recommend Lost Horizon to anyone looking for a getaway from urban living.

We enjoyed our time at this spot. Leah was very hospitable and quick to answer any questions. Each camping spot is secluded and quiet with some nice waterfalls to explore. The water is clear enough to see the fish swimming around and you’re not very far from town if you forget supplies. The bathhouse is great to have on site after a long day. Will definitely return!

The land is so beautiful. The variety of wildflowers was beautiful and refreshing. My son had tons of fun hanging out with hank (the dog) and the goats. We found tons of cool stuff "exploring" the cedar groves and the small creek. He even got to give his mom a big bouquet of wildflowers when we got home. Dave was very welcoming, and a very chill host, lol. Let us have a little fire and camp wherever we wanted. Definitely got a repeat visitor in my son, lol. Plus, it's a hop and a skip from Mother Neff.
