We are only 7 miles from the Georgetown, TX historical district and square. Some say it’s the most beautiful town square in all of Texas. Enjoy shopping, dining, and festivals!
There is road noise. Highway 29 can be busy at times, despite being a two-lane road. Quiet hours are after 10 pm Sunday - Thursday and midnight Friday and Saturday.
Access to our river site is included in your camping fee. This secluded hike-to (~ 1-2 minute walk) site is peaceful with limestone cliff views and no visible homes or signs of civilization. The trail head is accessed by a dirt road that winds around our corn field and into the woods, and can be accessed by any vehicle in normal weather conditions. We will provide warning/refunds if the river road becomes 4x4 only. Fishing is allowed with a valid Texas fishing license. There is no overnight camping on the San Gabriel River. All camping is at the main farm area and campers are able to come and go from the river site as they please (day or night!).

Kaz always had a DREAM to help kids with Life Skills & Mentor in God’s Principles because she had Christian Mentors growing up! They were always there for her through her life and kept her focused down the right path and stayed out of trouble and learned a tremendous amount from them! Bill her husband supports her and they raised 7 children together and have 10 grandkids. Kaz father was Asperger's Autistic and from 5 years old started showing Kaz hands on learning skills that are still instilled in her today! She found this to be a Valuable Lesson from her Dad. These methods and skills through the years working with her own children and other children through the years with different organizations confirm to be very beneficial and encouraging for the children growing up. Bill and Kaz have shared equally through all they’re projects during they’re 40 years of marriage. They’re Jack Of All Trades, Artists, Shown in Art Shows, Remodeled Homes, Churches, Work on the Ranch Together, and Etc. They are able to teach others how to do things that can benefit kids till they graduate and have a better understanding of what they want to do in their lives as an adult and PLUS have the mentoring to guide them through life.

Upon arrival you can park in the flat dirt driveway in front of the boat. The trail up to the cabin begins right there.
There’s a short somewhat steep hike from the parking area by the road up to the cabin. Again the trail is steep and approximately 30 yards long. Keep this in mind because your belongings will have to be carried up the trail. If you have 4x4 you can drive up top closer to the cabin. This is a glamping experience and you will need sleeping pads, bags and pillows. We do not provide bedding. The cabin sleeps 4. 2 on the futon and 2 (preferably kids sized humans) up in the loft. There is electricity but no running water, so bring water. There a/c heat and a mini fridge/freezer. Also a sweet vintage hifi system with a good vinyl collection.
Turkey Bend recreation area on Lake Travis it’s just a couple of miles down the road. Marble Falls and Austin are both about the same distance away approximately 17 miles. Hidden Falls adventure Park is approximately 7 miles away. Lago Vista Texas is the closest city with restaurants and gas stations and grocery stores. This property is on a dirt road and light pollution in minimal so this is a great place to stargaze! The parking area is also dirt and somewhat uneven. We are a working farm! We primarily grow corn, but we also have livestock on the property. During daytime hours, you will likely see a variety of farm chores being completed. We are only 7 miles from the Georgetown, TX historical district and square. Some say it’s the most beautiful town square in all of Texas. Enjoy shopping, dining, and festivals!
There is road noise. Highway 29 can be busy at times, despite being a two-lane road. Quiet hours are after 10 pm Sunday - Thursday and midnight Friday and Saturday.
Access to our river site is included in your camping fee. This secluded hike-to (~ 1-2 minute walk) site is peaceful with limestone cliff views and no visible homes or signs of civilization. The trail head is accessed by a dirt road that winds around our corn field and into the woods, and can be accessed by any vehicle in normal weather conditions. We will provide warning/refunds if the river road becomes 4x4 only. Fishing is allowed with a valid Texas fishing license. There is no overnight camping on the San Gabriel River. All camping is at the main farm area and campers are able to come and go from the river site as they please (day or night!).

Kaz always had a DREAM to help kids with Life Skills & Mentor in God’s Principles because she had Christian Mentors growing up! They were always there for her through her life and kept her focused down the right path and stayed out of trouble and learned a tremendous amount from them! Bill her husband supports her and they raised 7 children together and have 10 grandkids. Kaz father was Asperger's Autistic and from 5 years old started showing Kaz hands on learning skills that are still instilled in her today! She found this to be a Valuable Lesson from her Dad. These methods and skills through the years working with her own children and other children through the years with different organizations confirm to be very beneficial and encouraging for the children growing up. Bill and Kaz have shared equally through all they’re projects during they’re 40 years of marriage. Upon arrival you can park in the flat dirt driveway in front of the boat. The trail up to the cabin begins right there.
There’s a short somewhat steep hike from the parking area by the road up to the cabin. Again the trail is steep and approximately 30 yards long. Keep this in mind because your belongings will have to be carried up the trail. If you have 4x4 you can drive up top closer to the cabin. This is a glamping experience and you will need sleeping pads, bags and pillows. We do not provide bedding. The cabin sleeps 4. 2 on the futon and 2 (preferably kids sized humans) up in the loft. There is electricity but no running water, so bring water. There a/c heat and a mini fridge/freezer. Also a sweet vintage hifi system with a good vinyl collection.
Turkey Bend recreation area on Lake Travis it’s just a couple of miles down the road. Marble Falls and Austin are both about the same distance away approximately 17 miles. Hidden Falls adventure Park is approximately 7 miles away. Lago Vista Texas is the closest city with restaurants and gas stations and grocery stores. This property is on a dirt road and light pollution in minimal so this is a great place to stargaze! The parking area is also dirt and somewhat uneven. We took the family out to P-Squared Farm for an overnight camping trip and had an awesome time. The property is beautiful — about 30 acres near Georgetown with river access, so there's plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the outdoors.
The staff was super friendly and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. My girls absolutely loved riding the horses — that was the highlight of the trip for them. It's those kinds of experiences you can't really plan for; they just light up.
If you're looking for a laid-back family camping spot close to Austin, this is a great pick. We'll definitely be back.

Loved my time on this Ranch. Went to camp at cedar bend park but they were closed, so thankfully I found this site and was able to have peace of mind in minutes. Makayla is quick to respond and very friendly.
Never camped out on the riverbed before, very unique and fun. Tons of fire pits to choose from, and don’t forget to add on one of the many fun adventures that Makayla and the gang offer!

This has been one of my favorite HipCamps I've ever stayed at. The host provided many things at the site that were very thoughtful, such as a hammer for tent stakes, and a small grill in addition to a portable firepit. I went with a friend, and we had a girl's campout with our 9 year old daughters, and everybody had a great time! Would highly recommend the Mother Tree site, which even with no leaves on the tree in the winter months that I visited, is an incredibly awe-inspiring site of a 700+ year old pecan tree. The tent area was flat, and the river was incredibly soothing to listen to at night. If you're thinking of booking it, go for it! I'll definitely go again.

Bill and Kaz were super amazing hosts. So nice and I was able to talk with them for quite some time about their future plans for the property. They are incredibly welcoming to all campers but especially the overland community, sharing the philosophy of leaving thing’s better than you found it. Protecting nature so that it can be enjoyed for years and years. The campsites are nestled in the trees but provide some stunning views of the hills and the sunset. So quiet and peaceful. My campsite was equipped with a table, chairs, a fire ring and plenty of wood. One of my new favorite camping destinations. I highly recommend this spot. Give it a try, You won’t be sorry.

Absolutely loved our spot under the mother tree and the seclusion of the place. We took a sunset walk down to the creek and then up to the communal area for a stunning sunset over the farm and got to say hi to the horses. Pretty sure we were the only campers there for nye which was nice, great time had by all

Nice spot at a private ranch, campsites are away from the road. Very peaceful. So the info may not be updated, it’s posted that sites only have water and power and need to dump by
Ranch septic tank. Well all rv sites have sewer connections.
Also the lake is dry no water,
Overall it was nice and I will return

We had a great time camping at the mother tree site!! The site was so clean and beautiful! It felt super private but also not isolated. We also had decent luck with fishing the river! Would highly recommend!

What a cozy little spot! My camp spot was in close proximity to the river, so you could hear the stream, sit right beside a large pecan tree, and hear a few song birds chirp. Great quick getaway for me!

Perfect hybrid camping spot where you can rough it without plumbing while enjoying a cozy indoor with electricity. Complete with a perfect campfire setup and gas grill if you choose. My boy and I actually pitched a tent on the deck, which was perfect!

Blue Sage was just what we were looking for our adventure. Really neat trail to get to the camping spot we wanted. Lots of room to play and tucked away from the surrounding area. Directions were quite simple to find even in the dark. I will definitely keep this location on my favorites list and will visit again soon.
