1 night at Cactus Inn

I pulled up late afternoon. It was pretty obvious where to park but just in case. I went into the office and asked + wish I could remember her name but the woman who manages it was really nice. Polite came outside. Showed me exactly where to park. I have a smaller class c RV. She told me they only have a 50 amp + asked if I needed an adapter. I told her I was okay. I had one but thank you. It was nice to be able to hook up for the night with electric and water. They are working on a bunch more sites including they will soon have available. Cohol I would definitely stay here again. Cute little town!. Cute little hotel and very friendly.

I had such a great time out here! Very private and so calm to sit back and relax. The stars were amazing and so were the coyotes howling. I’d definitely visit again.

Waking up to a symphony of no less than 6 varities of morning birdsongs was a dream come true. I heard the most amazing song from one bird, by far the best I've ever heard in my life! The birds were happy, they loved both sunset and sunrise. It was very special to share their home, an experience I will never forget. The Land Trust is amazing, untouched and wild, I hope it stays that way. The caretakers were trusting and open, allowing me to fold into the landscape wherever I chose, I was careful to leave no tracks so enjoy.

Awesome experience! We were in a remote site in a little grove of trees. Amazing stars, wildflowers, coyotes singing at night and birdsong in the morning. If you like the idea of being well off the beaten track with loads of space around you, this is the place for you. Bonus: a cell tower very nearby means excellent service.

Beautiful secluded spot under some tall trees. Heard the coyotes yipping at sunset. Pretty level spot. Table, chairs, and fire pit were all there. It was really windy so I didn’t have a fire. Lots of dirt roads for taking a walk. Great stay!

Such a peaceful and Magical place! I was sad to be there for one short night! Cole was super inviting… the location was great, off the highway but couldn’t hear it. The community bathroom was clean and had what you needed.

Super cute little spot! It was truly a good first night in Texas. We arrived late but still made the most out of cooking up some steaks from their store for dinner. We would have loved doing some more exploring but our journey carried us on! We will remember this place for sure!

The little rustic cabin we stayed in was super cute! We arrived late in the night and had no issues finding it in the dark. Huge plus we were able to have a campfire! The sky was filled with stars which made the night even more magical. Woke up to ice outside and saw the beautiful view for the first time. Our dog liked sniffing around the barn and the hay stacks.

A very quiet place, suggest to access before dark; we stay at Christmas Eve and took some time to get there. The owner is patient and very kind, it’s special experience to us.
