The stocked river is teeming with largemouth and Guadalupe bass, catfish, sunfish, and rainbow trout, and can be an excellent place for beginning anglers (you can even borrow equipment for free). Pedernales Falls State Park is only 35 miles away. Swimming at holes, horseback riding, hiking, mountain biking, and birding are a few of the quintessential outdoor Texan activities visitors enjoy most at Pedernales State Park, located near the area of Texas Hill Country where former President Lyndon B. Johnson grew up. Next to the famed Pedernales River, the park is an hour west of Austin, an hour east of Fredericksburg, and about 20 minutes from downtown Johnson City. The massive 2015 floods destroyed the structure and since then we have been enjoying camping on it, as we have slowly rebuilt the structure. Once ancient native Indian lands, you can scour for arrowheads, fossils, lava rocks (just found this past weekend on the cliff top) and so much more! I have spent my entire 53 years enjoying this property, and am honored to share the tranquil and peaceful retreat of the outdoor space to those discerning campers of the world! Swimming, tubing, kayaking, SUP'ing, floating, cliff climbing, evening camp fires, and so much more await you at 'Our Heritage and Legacy'. There is very intentionally no cable, no internet, no tv. The goal of time at our place of peace is to reconnect with nature, and remind ourselves what really matters. Learn more about this land: Our Heritage and Legacy is a beautiful shaded lawn under a canopy of old oaks that are a few hundred years old and pecan trees. There is a huge privacy wall of bamboo that gives you a sense of absolute privacy, with a cliff on the opposing side to encase you and your loved ones in this majestic retreat.  There is also a pull up/ hook up area for travel trailers and smaller rv's with a 30 amp plug in and a 50 amp plug in. This is on a gorgeous area on the deepest swimming hole of the Blanco River in Wimberley, Texas!  OH, and the entire Blanco River in Wimberley is private! There is no river accessible camping available to the public, anywhere in Wimberley!  Has two beautiful docks on the water: one is perfect for morning coffee, wine sipping, fishing, meditating, yoga, with an adjacent access ladder and steps to get in and out of the water, the other has a large bench, steps to the water for entering with water toys, etc, and a rope swing! This property includes a cliff to climb with ropes installed and amazing views of the Blanco river valley east and west from the top! Water toys are available for rent and use as desired/needed (the reservations for such need to be made in advance/or at time of check in, to have available for your use)  : 3 additional kayaks($40/day), 4 tubes($9/day), a SUP ($45/day), along with two other beanbag type chair floats($15/day)-. You may either rent through Hipcamp, in advance, or on site at check in.  There are electrical hookups for rv's/travel trailers (one 20 amp and one 50 amp)- however, all campers whether tent, RV's/Travel trailers will need to bring in your own water supply for your general use, please. (The property is on a rain water collection/purification system, and has very limited water for the overall property use-to have water trucked in to refill the tank is quite expensive. Campers may NOT use the water supply connected to the house- please respect.)  You will have absolute privacy on these 3 acres, with no neighbors, beyond those folks who live across the river on their large pieces of land! The rate is $220/night for up to 4 campers, unless specified otherwise due to a holiday, and each additional camper beyond, $30/pp. This property is not appropriate for children under 12 because of safety concerns with the cliff, the river and the road bisecting the property that leads to the river.  No children under 12 allowed. I am quite firm about this, and I apologize in advance. What makes it an amazing property, a destination for camping and exploring, also makes it a safety risk for younger children. There is an antique fireplace that is from the origins of the property over a century ago on the large outdoor patio and a huge fire pit on the cliff top.  Bundles of wood are available to purchase at $9 each.  Please DO NOT help yourself to our wood piles, we had to pay someone to cut and stack it all- it is not free. We are happy to stock each firepit area with bundles of wood, per your request. You may also purchase a fire starter stick for $8/each. (I did previously supply those, but they kept walking off at the end of each groups stay- thank you for understanding). There is also a full size refrigerator and freezer available for your use during your stay. The overall vibe is absolute peace, serenity, calm, and relaxation. In the evenings, if you are calm, still and quiet-  foxes, and raccoons shall run all around your area, and the foxes are known to eat from your hands. It is simply the best of nature, being there! The famous Blue Hole and Jacobs Well swimming holes along with their respective hiking trails and parks are minutes away, along with the highly regarded Wimberley Zipline being just 5 minutes down the road, too! DO note, to swim at Jacob's Well, Blue Hole or partake in the Zipline experience requires advance online reservations. (there is a secret to getting into the Jacob's Well if you were not able to get reservations, make sure to ask me about, if interested! it has previously always worked for me!)  To hike the trails in either the Jacobs Well County Park,  Mount Baldy, or The Blue Hole Regional park does not require reservations! Have I mentioned the famous Wimberley Glass Works- just a 15 minute drive away! Bring your lawn games, your corn hole, and relax on the sprawling lush zoysia lawn under the evening twinkling lights strung from the oak trees that are hundreds of years old.  The best restaurants are 4-10 minutes away and many wineries, breweries, and distilleries around are also nearby within the community and surrounding area- Wimberley is a destination tourist town and a culinary journey with fantastic shopping, too!! Fantastic bonus to add to a gorgeous location to enjoy in your little slice of heaven, peace and privacy.  Least we not forget, Market Days! The first Saturday of each month, March through December is the famous Market Days. Vendors from all over the state and US come to sell their wares. This is a CAMPGROUND: NO RV, ROOM, BED, INVOLVED - BRING A TENT AND GEAR FOR COMFORT (check my other listings for an RV stay). This a "want to camp" campground and not a living solution. If you "need to camp" due to financial or other reasons, Camp EZ will likely not be a good fit for you. 6 nights maximum stay. Not suitable for very young children. Please include your child in your count. Campfires in designated area only with permission (burn ban sometimes). Bring firewood. Community vibe 'round here; everyone is expected to be quiet and respectful of one another and clean up after themselves "leave no trace" style. Six night maximum stay. Bring a tent and gear needed to be comfortable. 2 private hot outdoor showers, rustic kitchen and 2 charming flush restrooms included. Wood fired sauna available. Visitors are expected to clean up after themselves especially in the kitchen, showers, restroom and, of course, your campsite. Trash and recycle containers are around or, better yet, pack it out! We are a 2 acre community on a secret and secluded little street 5 miles due South of the capitol of TX and even closer (2.5) to the very hip SoCo area (Continental Club, Jo's Coffee, Guero's Taco Bar, El Mercado and lots more). I have 3 cats, 11 chickens, 2 little donkeys and sweet 4 mini goats here at my little and funky 'farmette' right on Williamson Creek (sometimes flowing and not really swimmable) and next to a huge wooded greenbelt with a quiet and unused nature trail. This is not a KOA or a state park. This is a home hostel/campground. It's kind of rustic and we like it that way. You may see a roach, ant or cricket and you may also see a deer, fox or coyote. We are busy and not always able to visit for long. Lots of remodeling and flood related cleanup chaos here but also lots of pretty and secluded nature. Short walk to bus stop and historic Sagebrush HonkyTonk and Austin Bergstrom Airport is 9 easy highway miles away. Rustic outdoor shower/kitchen/privy. BYOTent. No wild or excessive partying here please and please remember: no smoking. WE NOW HAVE A COVERED PING-PONG PLAYING AREA !​ Other details to note: Street parking. Camping is a very short walk from parking lot. We have carts to tote your gear if needed. Sorry, this campground is not set up to be able to park next to your site. Come stay in our sweet semi off grid cabin just between Austin and Marble Falls Tx. Near beautiful Lake Travis. There’s a short somewhat steep hike from the parking area by the road up to the cabin. Again the trail is steep and approximately 30 yards long. Keep this in mind because your belongings will have to be carried up the trail. If you have 4x4 you can drive up top closer to the cabin. This is a glamping experience and you will need sleeping pads, bags and pillows. We do not provide bedding. The cabin sleeps 4. 2 on the futon and 2 (preferably kids sized humans) up in the loft. There is electricity but no running water, so bring water. There a/c heat and a mini fridge/freezer. Also a sweet vintage hifi system with a good vinyl collection. Turkey Bend recreation area on Lake Travis it’s just a couple of miles down the road. Marble Falls and Austin are both about the same distance away approximately 17 miles. Hidden Falls adventure Park is approximately 7 miles away. Lago Vista Texas is the closest city with restaurants and gas stations and grocery stores. This property is on a dirt road and light pollution in minimal so this is a great place to stargaze! The parking area is also dirt and somewhat uneven. Pedernales Falls State Park is only 35 miles away. Swimming at holes, horseback riding, hiking, mountain biking, and birding are a few of the quintessential outdoor Texan activities visitors enjoy most at Pedernales State Park, located near the area of Texas Hill Country where former President Lyndon B. Johnson grew up. Next to the famed Pedernales River, the park is an hour west of Austin, an hour east of Fredericksburg, and about 20 minutes from downtown Johnson City. Once ancient native Indian lands, you can scour for arrowheads, fossils, lava rocks (just found this past weekend on the cliff top) and so much more! I have spent my entire 53 years enjoying this property, and am honored to share the tranquil and peaceful retreat of the outdoor space to those discerning campers of the world! Swimming, tubing, kayaking, SUP'ing, floating, cliff climbing, evening camp fires, and so much more await you at 'Our Heritage and Legacy'. There is very intentionally no cable, no internet, no tv. The goal of time at our place of peace is to reconnect with nature, and remind ourselves what really matters. Learn more about this land: Our Heritage and Legacy is a beautiful shaded lawn under a canopy of old oaks that are a few hundred years old and pecan trees. There is a huge privacy wall of bamboo that gives you a sense of absolute privacy, with a cliff on the opposing side to encase you and your loved ones in this majestic retreat.  There is also a pull up/ hook up area for travel trailers and smaller rv's with a 30 amp plug in and a 50 amp plug in. This is on a gorgeous area on the deepest swimming hole of the Blanco River in Wimberley, Texas!  OH, and the entire Blanco River in Wimberley is private! There is no river accessible camping available to the public, anywhere in Wimberley!  Has two beautiful docks on the water: one is perfect for morning coffee, wine sipping, fishing, meditating, yoga, with an adjacent access ladder and steps to get in and out of the water, the other has a large bench, steps to the water for entering with water toys, etc, and a rope swing! This property includes a cliff to climb with ropes installed and amazing views of the Blanco river valley east and west from the top! Water toys are available for rent and use as desired/needed (the reservations for such need to be made in advance/or at time of check in, to have available for your use)  : 3 additional kayaks($40/day), 4 tubes($9/day), a SUP ($45/day), along with two other beanbag type chair floats($15/day)-. You may either rent through Hipcamp, in advance, or on site at check in.  There are electrical hookups for rv's/travel trailers (one 20 amp and one 50 amp)- however, all campers whether tent, RV's/Travel trailers will need to bring in your own water supply for your general use, please. (The property is on a rain water collection/purification system, and has very limited water for the overall property use-to have water trucked in to refill the tank is quite expensive. Campers may NOT use the water supply connected to the house- please respect.)  You will have absolute privacy on these 3 acres, with no neighbors, beyond those folks who live across the river on their large pieces of land! The rate is $220/night for up to 4 campers, unless specified otherwise due to a holiday, and each additional camper beyond, $30/pp. This property is not appropriate for children under 12 because of safety concerns with the cliff, the river and the road bisecting the property that leads to the river.  No children under 12 allowed. I am quite firm about this, and I apologize in advance. What makes it an amazing property, a destination for camping and exploring, also makes it a safety risk for younger children. There is an antique fireplace that is from the origins of the property over a century ago on the large outdoor patio and a huge fire pit on the cliff top.  Bundles of wood are available to purchase at $9 each.  Please DO NOT help yourself to our wood piles, we had to pay someone to cut and stack it all- it is not free. We are happy to stock each firepit area with bundles of wood, per your request. You may also purchase a fire starter stick for $8/each. (I did previously supply those, but they kept walking off at the end of each groups stay- thank you for understanding). There is also a full size refrigerator and freezer available for your use during your stay. The overall vibe is absolute peace, serenity, calm, and relaxation. In the evenings, if you are calm, still and quiet-  foxes, and raccoons shall run all around your area, and the foxes are known to eat from your hands. It is simply the best of nature, being there! The famous Blue Hole and Jacobs Well swimming holes along with their respective hiking trails and parks are minutes away, along with the highly regarded Wimberley Zipline being just 5 minutes down the road, too! DO note, to swim at Jacob's Well, Blue Hole or partake in the Zipline experience requires advance online reservations. (there is a secret to getting into the Jacob's Well if you were not able to get reservations, make sure to ask me about, if interested! it has previously always worked for me!)  To hike the trails in either the Jacobs Well County Park,  Mount Baldy, or The Blue Hole Regional park does not require reservations! Have I mentioned the famous Wimberley Glass Works- just a 15 minute drive away! Bring your lawn games, your corn hole, and relax on the sprawling lush zoysia lawn under the evening twinkling lights strung from the oak trees that are hundreds of years old.  The best restaurants are 4-10 minutes away and many wineries, breweries, and distilleries around are also nearby within the community and surrounding area- Wimberley is a destination tourist town and a culinary journey with fantastic shopping, too!! We encourage campers to purchase our firewood, we will make sure you have what you need at a fair price. I will also provide you with a small bundle of firewood for free upon arrival. The bundle is enough for one fire. Please be respectful. This is my home (35 years) and I do not need any help redecorating or rearranging. If you "need to camp" due to financial or other reasons, Camp EZ will likely not be a good fit for you. 6 nights maximum stay. Not suitable for very young children. Please include your child in your count. Campfires in designated area only with permission (burn ban sometimes). Bring firewood. Community vibe 'round here; everyone is expected to be quiet and respectful of one another and clean up after themselves "leave no trace" style. Six night maximum stay. I have 3 cats, 11 chickens, 2 little donkeys and sweet 4 mini goats here at my little and funky 'farmette' right on Williamson Creek (sometimes flowing and not really swimmable) and next to a huge wooded greenbelt with a quiet and unused nature trail. This is not a KOA or a state park. This is a home hostel/campground. It's kind of rustic and we like it that way. You may see a roach, ant or cricket and you may also see a deer, fox or coyote. We are busy and not always able to visit for long. Lots of remodeling and flood related cleanup chaos here but also lots of pretty and secluded nature. Short walk to bus stop and historic Sagebrush HonkyTonk and Austin Bergstrom Airport is 9 easy highway miles away. Rustic outdoor shower/kitchen/privy. BYOTent. We have numerous old growth hardwood trees including Live Oaks, Spanish oaks, Elm, Escarpment Cherry, Black walnut, and Ashe Juniper (cedar) one of which has the largest circumference in Texas. We have a wide selection of native and migratory wildlife that calls this place home including white tail deer, wild turkeys, foxes, bobcats, jack rabbits, road runners, seasonal songbirds and butterflies. We are just minutes away from Blanco State Park and a short drive to Pedernales Falls or Guadalupe River State Park.

The neighbors have farm animals and we enjoyed watching/listening to them. There’s only 1 spot that will fit an RV or bus, which is right on the fence line next to the neighbors. We enjoyed our stay.

Great property, located between Dripping Springs and Austin just off highway 290. A nice way to get an "out-in-the-country" camping experience while still being close to town. There is some road noise in the distance, but not enough to be a problem. There are two big longhorns and a donkey wandering around that are super friendly to people (just don't let your pets go say hi to them). There is also an 18 hole frisbee golf course running through the property that was a lot of fun to play. The campsites themselves were nice and flat, with a picnic table and firepit. I was pleasantly surprised by the lack of insects, but I think that probably had more to do with the time of year we came (early November). The hosts were responsive to communication and there were no hassles or complications with using the property. Just book it online, watch the nice youtube video they have about getting around the property, and message the hosts if you have any questions!

The trail head is accessed by a dirt road that winds around our corn field and into the woods, and can be accessed by any vehicle in normal weather conditions. We will provide warning/refunds if the river road becomes 4x4 only. Fishing is allowed with a valid Texas fishing license. There is no overnight camping on the San Gabriel River. All camping is at the main farm area and campers are able to come and go from the river site as they please (day or night!).
